I just noticed. At 3:00 the chase theme starts and the vid is 10 minutes long, meaning that Wesker chases you for 7 minutes, which is all the time he can spare to play with you
I love the way he speaks during a chase when he gets stunned "You're merely post-poning the inevitable!" "Just accept your fate." "Are you trying to make me angry?!"
He seems to yell "You'll pay for that!" when I'm playing him and he gets stunned by a pallet. Like the pallet fell on his boots and scuffed them. If a Survivor socks him with a Flashlight, he just does the snarl-sigh thing.
@@grubv every single chase music gets repetitive but some you can just vibe with or don't mind being repetitive as much as others i say the best are probably deathslinger and the default ones
not a god but infested ravager-leaper. That's how he will fill in the game jumping around smashing survivors and infesting it until he can throw survivors themselves
Think it's supposed to be his super speed animation from re5 but like his walk from re5 would've fit as well although maybe not as epic considering the chase music
I cannot believe they put in the cooing/alarm sound (1:06 or 2:03) that's originally from the Resident Evil *_movie_* theme. It's such an insanely specific, awesome detail, clearly made with respect and love for the franchise as a whole, from all its flawed corners.
@@Crackgearson I think in one of the RE movies, afterlife I think it was, they literally just choreograped the same fight against Chris in RE5, if that's what you're talking about.
@@lazygravy_brook It's subtle! If you play back 1:06 or 2:03 repeatedly, you can hear it as the quietest instrument happening every time the 4/4 cycle repeats. This sound is identical to the noise that plays throughout Marilyn Manson's classic Resident Evil movie theme, can't possibly be mistaken.
When I was playing dbd I heard 1:00 and I was like "Is that a new terror radius or is there a new killer", then a bit I heard feet stomping then at 3:00 is when I turned around and saw this man running at me, I had a roller caster of emotions. I'm just glad my favorite villian of RE has arrived to dbd.
Mine was almost the same lmao, i was playing on garden of joy when i heard the 2:00 music and saw him bolting across the road after a teammate…. I was like “WAS THAT WESKER?!?”, had no idea he was even in the game when i started.
his theme unlike others sounds composed and planned, and unlike other killers who dont really care about which specific instruments they use, wesker brings tons of different brass instruments, which tend to be associated with power
It's like a mix between his first boss theme and then Winds of Madness mashed together. This really suits him and Behavior does an amazing job with chase themes. Can't wait to see him in action.
Step 1: Become a Wesker Main Step 2: At the beginning of the match send each survivor a message as written; "Seven minutes. Seven minutes is all I can spare to play with you." Step 3: Play the game as normal, and if the game is not over by the seven minute mark, disconnect. (Note: If there is a Chris Redfield or any other Resident Evil characters present, only focus on them throughout the experience) Step 4: After the match has concluded by any means, send each player the message, "I expected more of a challenge after all of this time(Add 'Chris' here if player is Chris Redfield). How disappointing". Step 5: Rinse and Repeat
Weskers chase music perfectly captures his character. A megalomaniac who seeks limitless power. Cunning , cold and Calculated and willing to doom the entire human race to achieve his goal of becoming a “god”. Well done bhvr.
Something else that I kind of find interesting about the music is it's almost like there's a choir of angels singing just not for you. That colliding with the other aggressive sounds in the background almost sounds like you're you're being chased down by someone believes they're next to God if not God himself.
@@mysticrunic5013 yet the aggressive beat in the back doesn't give an angelic sound like you'd associate with God. It's almost like he's forcefully trying to be a god, rather than actually being one
Well said. Wesker is going to be an amazing addition to Dead by Daylight. They did him justice with his chase music and for that, I give them major props.
I like to imagine they didn't tell the composers what they were making music for se they made a music that suits an actual bossfight more than just a chase
0:00 Seven Minutes. Seven Minutes Is All I Can Spare to Play with You. 1:00 You Can't Hide Forever 2:00 You're Merely Postponing the Inevitable 3:00 FOUND YOU
you do know they want these to be leaked right? If they wouldn't they would simply not do it , it's really easy to not get things leaked. They leak things to get players hyped up for the upcoming chapters. Think a little.
This is one of the best chase themes that I’ve heard in a while (not counting Legion’s new chase music). This really suits him. Sounds like a super intense boss fight, as it should. I can’t wait for this. 3:11 is epic
Legion’s literally just sounds like a random garage band track you could find on Soundcloud. Nothing about it is horror either, nor is it thrilling. Wish yall would stop pretending it’s decent, let alone top tier lol. Artist, Nemesis, Clown and Blight’s are waay better.
I like how hopeless the distant one already is, it sounds like Wesker already won and the world is rotting away, there's no hope, soon there'll be nothing left but him.
Well him and the ones Uroboros accepts as his "chosen ones." Propably not many people left in the world after "global saturation" but Wesker wants to be worshipped as God by the ones that survive and some will.
@@VitunVatiVille The Uroboros virus only seems to be compatible with cockroaches so it'd be very bad if he actually succeeded with his plan. These roaches would definitely outnumber the human survivors of this civilization destroying pandemic.
@@VitunVatiVille That was his plan anyway, but we don't see anyone in RE franchise other than him capable of withstanding Uoroboros. I think Would've would end up mad as the sole survivor of Earth, fated to perish alone with no one left to workship him
@@ennieminymoo6675 Not true since Alex Wesker was still alive and she along with Neil were both compatible with Uroboros so theres already a happy trio! There are people with the unique bloodline compatible with Uroboros as it was created to be that way but the gene itself is so rare compared to the whole population which again was Weskers plan all along since only a "hand full" of people mattered in his eyes.
Same, I learned a little bit about him but not enough to say I’m an expert All I really know, is that he is infinitely more terrifying than Nemesis and Mr X combined
No it's not lol, Pyramid Head and Demogorgon have the best chase musicsof this game, They have music that really makes you feel like you're running from the killer
Wesker is such a charismatic character and OMG his music is perfect to represent this vilain, the tone the everything. As a survivor when you will hear that you will be affraid of what's coming but as the killer you will be jamming. This music is 100% S tier with the Legion's. You can understand the character just through the chase music, that's juste exceptionnal for me. Anyways that's all for me I'm a future Wesker main
Want to ask RE fans. Does he deserve to be 1 of the 2 killers from RE? Nemesis is obvious choice, but if you choose 2nd killer from RE will it be Wesker?
@@SS_Tier Wesker is a great antagonist to the serie I think that he is a great addition to the game, the only other ones I would see added to the game are like William Birkin, Lady Demetrescu, Karl heisenberg and maybe a Tyrant. The problem with RE is that most of the people infected by some virus or most of the vilain doesn't really fit DbD either by being to weird like not suitable as a killer or either too big to be in DbD so it's really hard to choose but Wesker is definitely my 2nd choice if I was at DbD HQ so yeah Wesker is really great.
Ok so from nemesis I hear a huge difference in feeling, nemesis’s chase theme sounds overpowering and full of fear which is accurate considering just what nemesis is, a giant bio weapon specialized on taking out S.T.A.R.S. and anything that gets in the way. On the other hand wesker’s is just so incredibly overwhelming and full of dread, like there is no hope fighting back and the only hope is to run away as he is quickly gaining on you.
Funny thing is, the survivor does "fight back" during Wesker's mori, but of course one little face punch isn't going to faze the big bad of the Resident Evil franchise
Well you’re basically facing a god when it comes to Wesker, since in DbD he had time to properly fuse with Uroboros and is even stronger than he was in RE5
Usually i dont understand why some survivors run/walk off when the 32 meter terror radius kicks in but when it comes to weskers terror radius i'll be half way across the map the moment i hear it
this might be the best chase theme they released in a while. why are their licensed chase songs almost always more layered and authentic sounding than their original killers'
I think that's a bias. We already know those killers from other licenses and we already know their personality, their powers, their vibes and even the music that represented them in their games or movies. So it's much easier to make connections between the terror radius and the killer in DbD. Also, the composer knows what vibe they should create. When you listen to Artist chase music, it's very unique and layered as well but she's an original killer so it doesn't "ring any bells" if this makes sense.
Some randome jungle beats doesn't exactly feel to me like a walking abomination theme. I don't think it's bad but not really fitting. But that's just me
The two Resident Evil killers easily have the best chase music in the whole game. Even the RE survivors have a cooler theme than the normal survivor theme which is crazy to me
1:00 idk how to explain the sound effect well, but that pulsing sound effect that plays throughout the 20 meters and also in the 10 meters is one of the coolest sounds I've ever heard in a theme. And then the chase theme is the best in the whole game. Also is it just me, but does anyone weirdly enough get Silent Hill vibes from the 32/40 Meters? Coming back to this theme idk if its just me, but i actually think the 10 meters is my favorite part of the whole thing. I still think Wesker has the best chase theme in all of dbd, but for some reason his 10 meters is my favorite part of his theme. It has such a feeling of urgency and panic that its so freaking good. The drums and string instruments going crazy makes it so cool to me.
Love how like with the nemesis chase music this starts off discontorted and like you know something is coming, somthing bad and then the second layer is like a tense build up to the 3rd, making you feel uneasy as you desperately try to finish your generator before he arrives, and the 3rd isnt even tense or unknowing anymore, it's just the start of madness at this point you can catch a glimpse, and you certainly arent on that generator anymore, and finally the last layer is just full on boss music, you know your about to go down
This is insanely amazing music. I'm already wondering how it will be in the game during the chase. Moreover, the music of the chase is still such that it is as if you are fighting the final boss
That noise that sounds like an alarm in the second part of his terror radius theme is my favorite thing about the whole thing. I don’t even know why but its just super ominous sounding.
I'm sure above all killers he's the only one that isn't subservient to the entity as his boss cause literally if your theme involves an entire orchestra you are the BOSS
Layer 1 reminds me of the "You Died" sound from RE5. If that's the reference point it's trying to tell you that you've already died if you're going against a Wesker.
I absolutely love how loud and fast-paced the 10m is. I legitimately jumped when I heard it the first time, it really sells the idea of Wesker being a force to be reckoned with.
Tbh the first time I went against weaker when Project W went live, there was a smile on my face the entire time. He is SUCH a fun killer to go against especially because of the chase music, Wesker has to be one of the most well designed killers in the game. 👍
Imagine how the entity manipulate Albert Wesker into it desires, that guy had no reasons to calm a Biohazard mutations with Albert Wesker in your hands he's a pure killing machine.
I understand why they gave him the most badass chase theme, but why did they make his terror radius (specifically the beginning) the most terrifying one in the game.
Probably because Wesker easily gives off the most threatening aura out of any Killer in the game. ESPECIALLY since escaping him is hard with his Virulent Bound
holy shit this is somehow mortifying. the nearby music makes you feel on the edge of your seat. Where is he? Is he here or not? I can't see him so surely he's not here. It still gives you that ounce of terror of being watched. And you know he's going to absolutely de-bone you like a ribeye steak just to make you apart of himself. He simply does not have time to care.
Cant describe the atomic rollercoaster of emotions i had the first time ive been chased by wesker. They literally made one of the bests DLCs i saw in my entire life in any videogame, they captured exactly what wesker is
I like that they take a different approach with the music, rather than being scary they go with a final boss type theme like in the game. It's very fitting.
No it's not lol, Pyramid Head and Demogorgon have the best chase musics of this game, They have music that really makes you feel like you're running from the killer, Wesker's music is like the background music playing when you're fighting with the boss in a superhero game
Every other theme sounds like a characterised rehash of the same motif, which makes sense. They're all unique in their own ways and are interesting and some outright bangers, but they are all unmistakably "dbd chase music". This? This is a fucking boss theme. The final boss of DbD, no less. A duel with a god.
Weskers Chase Music is definitely the best because it's like the Ultimate God of the Universe's final battle, Nemesis takes 2nd place bc It doesn't feel like you're getting chased, it feels like some overwhelming force is trying to kill you and you must escape asap. Bhvr did wonders with the RE crossovers
I love how if you look at all the other chase themes they have like a cool background and image, with this its just wesker, standing there, MENACINGLY!!!
