Cursed sword helped me get better at the game by teaching me how to dodge and how to make use of my momentum, and that was before the legendary effect. The best version is the “take 100% damage but deal 100% damage” since you basically only have 1 hit point it’s free damage
@@TheHeadlesssI once got a inflict / take 300% damage on a legendary cursed sword. To be fair, I think I got it pretty early in the run and had so much money by the end since I spared on everything else that I just rolled forever to get it
This is actually pretty cool. And I also do feel like I’m finding even more legendaries than I used to. Also the music you are using in the background is absolutely fantastic. Also an arsonist build sounds awesome.
I also like legendary flint, and magic bow. The former guarantees crits and shock wave. The latter, while not too unique, I like the idea of firing 10 arrows at once. Also, while not exactly overpowered, I appreciate the unique concept of the legendary Alucard weapons.
It's hard to say what my favorite is, not knowing as many of the items in as much detail. But one standout to me is the legendary Flint (attacks are always fully charged and deal critical damage), mainly in the sense that I basically never run with the Flint at all unless it's legendary. So it's not so much making a great weapon better, as making a bad (to me) weapon very viable
@@devanshpatil1065 Do you mean it's too slow for you? Cus if that's too slow you must really hate the other good Survival weapons. I much prefer the fast weapons myself but you gotta give Survival a chance at some point, can't just dismiss a whole class of weapons.
@@Scroolewse when I run survival, I prefer weapons like the Broadsword, Symmetric Lance, and Nutcracker. Not to say those are the only ones I'll use, but I prefer those to the ones you specifically have to charge up for crits, like the Flint or the Toothpick
These are awesome! My personal favorite is the legendary Symmetrical lance, simply because it's how i beat 5bc. I picked up wish right before HOTK, then picked up the lance and fought the spoiler boss. When it "does the thing", i just pummel it through its invincibility shield.
2:30 I like using Wish when I get a time/kill streak door. You can’t necessarily guarantee a specific legendary weapon, but there is more insurance that you get a legendary you like if you get bonus door.
@@Scroolewse fair, but the bonus doors give you immediate use of the Wish mutation, with no cost and no risk of mimics. Granted I see the value of your use of Wish as well.
Hey Pseychie I have a video idea for you! It could be called "Analyzing DPS numbers in Dead Cells" and talk about how some numbers for DPS are not quite right/realistic. I think this video would be a good way to prove the point you've made in the past that you shouldn't pay much mind to the DPS numbers, but it does get a little bit into the weeds so you might not want to do it. Examples: King Scepter's DPS is completely wrong because it only accounts for the first hit done every 0.6 seconds. All the two-hit-then-crit combo weapons have a non crit DPS number that only accounts for the first two non-crit hits, in the majority of situations you will just be dealing the crit DPS. The Katana's crit DPS is just exactly the damage of the charged attack (could be wrong about this, just going off the wiki) which isn't actually accurate to the term "damage per second" since the charged attack takes longer than a second. Bonus damage, like the Seismic Strike's shockwave and the wall damage on Spartan Sandles, is not included in DPS calculations. The Sandles for example deal nearly 5x the displayed DPS if every kick in the combo throws an enemy into a wall. There are several more weapons but if you just scroll through the "gear" page on the wiki and investigate any weapon that works a little weird (like Toothpick) you'll usually find some amount of inaccuracy in their DPS.
Now that I finally finished the game (did it yesterday), I can use aspects to stop the one-shot mechanic of the Cursed Sword (since I don't have to worry about beating the game without getting boss cells anymore). It's open season, baby!!!!
Some people may not like Aspects but running Damned with the legendary Cursed Sword is honestly a must if you just want a fun run. You still get locked out of using any other weapon or skill but knowing that you can tank 2 or 3 hits is nice.
For some context of the holy water flavor text. In castlevania, Richter had 2 abilities with every sub weapon. The holy water he can throw or alternately for more magic hearts, summon a holy rainstorm to his location. I'm super glad they found a way to keep the L affix balanced and flavorful with the ascetic rain when used!
I recently got into the game, and I love the Legendary Starfury. Doubling the falling stars makes clearing rooms of enemies really easy and satisfying, and it's just a spectacle to look at.
Legendary Rebound stone has it split into 2 projectiles everytime it hits an enemy, can only happen twice. So 1 rebound stone can theoretically turn into abt 3, and they last pretty long so there's like 3 stones flying around the room. Granted they're only effective in closed spaces, bc the stone goes up first, to the sky
Love the Legendary Cursed Sword, used it in my cursed sword run and picked up the "get through the derelict distillery without the barrel launcher" achievement because of it.
about the legendary greedy shield, you can watch this only shields run, and the damage comes from that shield, it's impressive how high the damage can go just search "the cursed shield only run"
All Tactics fire is GOATED Vampire Killer Pyrotechnics Fire Blast (Backpack) Flamethrower Turret Oil Grenade Acrobatipack Point Blank Networking or Support or Tranquility
Just had my best run yet. Legendary machete pistol that did +175 damage to frozen Ice shield Next attack +300% damage That was the jist of it, had highs of 26k damage in one attack
People of the comment section I seek your wisdom. I've been playing this game on a single file for about 2 years and I've completed everything upto 4bc all dlcs up to the break the bank update, but I've been playing it via ahem...unorthodox methods, things happened and the computer I was playing deadcells on got reset and now I no longer have access to the file. It's been about a year since all this happened and I've now bought the game at full price. Is there any way I can find a 4bc file anywhere? I know there are 5bc full completed files on speedrun sites but I want to start where I left off. I know it took you long to read this far so thankyou, I know it's a lot to ask but I figured there's no harm in asking😅
Playing with massive words like "now this is a build I can get behind" can make anything look absolutely ballistic when in reality your tier list is f*kin sh*t, just sayin.
I grabbed the starting sword, and since i had random starting swords on, id naturally picked it up, little did i know, that it was enhanced with 300% dmg dealt and taken, i was wondering why rats could 3 tap me 😭
To me my number pne favorite weapon is the dual pan nunchaku's boy how I love slamming my enemies with it and the high hit combo really has it's own vibe
One of my personal favorite legendary is the killer deck . It's probably not the most OP legendary weapons but applying random effects on enemies is just so fun and can apply extra damage affixes a lot more easier . Legendary bow and endless quiver is also pretty cool , it's like a innate combo mutation
I used to hate killer deck, but when I tried it's legendary version and obliterated 80% of Giant's health with only one full combo, it became my favorite one too!
Bro 💀 "Hand of the King" gives the best sword in the game, in addition to breaking the shield, it does more than 300% damage and it can use the other swords
Realistically the best two for free wins are the flint and the lance. I’d like then to change the alchemical carbine to shoot a corrosive cloud effect. Imagine if it had bleeding and electricity built in. That would be legendary
Yesterday I beat 2bc for the first time, just because I've got a legendary symmetrical lance, with 2 legendary affixes(idk if it's rare). 300% dmg and goes through shields. Then bassically rolled through an entire game and done flawless HotK
Guys i need help. I talked to the tailor's daughter but she didn't give me the comb. I've tried for 5 days now and she just let me change the head. What should I do ? 😢😢
I don't understand why the studio keep doing balance patch and new things to make the game better in a solo game with no in game purchases, it's so great for the players like when I hear those kind of news It makes me want to replay the game but I've already bought the game, so they won't make any money
I kind of have a video idea for you how about you rate the music in this game because I don't think anyone has ever refused to tell what their favorite songs are in this game the point that I feel this soundtrack is underrated kind of so I kind of want to know your opinion what are your favorites
The grave stone is OP I got the legendary before I got the regular and I was like what is this stupid thing then I hit the last move and a domino affect killed all the enemies in site
Once i got the legendary greed sheild and in the next level i got the philosopher stone. It one shot nearly every thing and absolutey chunked the bosses hp. 10/10 do recomend.
not simetrycal lance? it literally has the cursed sword passive, with shield piercing thing, and without the curse, and not the item limitation. a LOT better
