UNTIL I FIGURE OUT IF RU-vid WILL LET ME SHARE SKULL CLEANING VIDEOS AGAIN. I AM GOING TO SHARE A FEW LITTLE PROJECT LIKE THIS. BULL ELK DEAD HEAD RESTORATION. THANK YOU FOR HANGING IN THERE.
It would be so upsetting if you wouldn't be able to show skull cleaning videos! I find them quite Interesting. No matter what just keep up the great work!
RU-vid demonetizing your videos is absolutely ridiculous. You make educational videos that aren’t causing any harm to anything. You actually show respect to the animals that you harvest and turn them into art. Keeping doing what you’re doing man. You’re doing a great job
I wouldn't have believed that could've been saved if I had not seen it myself. GREAT work bro. RU-vid needs to mellow out and understand WE THE PEOPLE want to see hunting, fishing, gutting, head cleaning videos, AND we ARE adults so treat us as such.
I love these videos! if RU-vid stops you from posting, please consider setting up a website to post! it'd be a shame if you couldn't post skull cleaning any more
I know this video is a few years old but I just wanted to say. It was super sweet and cute to see you and your wife interact. I can tell you're a great couple because of the small banter. Extremely healthy! Makes me want to watch you more.
Thanks for the video, it gave me confidence to restore an older elk shed I found. I did try a different stain that didn't have as much red to it, minwax early American, and I was very pleased. Thanks for the videos, they're great
Absolutely beautiful, your vids inspire me so mutch! Thank you for posting all of the skull cleaning vids!! I was able to clean my first skull with the help of your amazing tutorial!! Thank you and I hope u have a good day!
WoW! Sooooooo awesome the results how beautiful that old dead head turned out. You did a good thing there. I can't believe those results came from the old dried out dead head. Hobby Lobby to the rescue :-) Keep up the great work. Blessings over you and your family. Don't worry tooo much about what RU-vid wants - just keep being YOU and sharing what you naturally do.
Amazing job. I started doing my own euro mounts following tips from your old stuff (which they should let you continue to show). Love the ideas on this project too. I think I'll try that on some old sheds I've found. Thanks!
Very beautiful, what a perfect way to show respect towards that animal. On the first antler mount I did. I used a plaque from hobby lobby to and with a weed burner I very lightly passed the flame across the wood to give it an aged look. I was very happy with it. Thanks for your videos.
Your very crafty. LOL! That stain on the antlers was the perfect match to bring them back to life! Who would've known that Hobby Lobby would have that perfect mounting bracket! The viewers of your channel are as frustrated about RU-vid as you are (well probably not as much) but their censorship when it comes to what they deem as "inappropriate" does not jive with your subscribers who are watching your channel and enjoying your creations. I don't know what the answer is or if there is something your subscribers can do to help. I thoroughly enjoyed this video! I think I speak for others that watching you start with a "fresh head" and turn it into a piece of art the way you do is interesting, entertaining and educational. I hope you find a solution. I would follow you to your own channel, website where you can do what you do without RU-vid rules and interference. Keep us posted and keep fighting the good fight!
Great video and great channel. I go back and watch a lot of your videos over and over. Working on recoloring a set of horn my brother had in his shed. This video is exactly what I was looking for.
Man I know this is an old video and you're on your app now, but I just love your work. The energy and quality of your content is amazing, everything I know about cleaning skulls comes from studying your channel for a few years. I love that you're always trying something new. May your 2023 be peaceful and abundant
I'll be pissed if RU-vid bars you from posting the skull cleaning vids! The methods you've shown have helped me to the nth degree in doing my own! So much so it's become addicting! I've actually started looking for road kills to clean and I'm getting a pretty good sized collection of pristine skulls now! LOL! Keep up the awesome work! If you find a less restrictive format or new location let us know, I'm sure those of us who have subscribed would flock to a new venue to watch you work again! Don't stop doing what you do!!
Awesome set of antlers. At first I was worried about how that stain but then I was surprised with how nice it turned out. I use brown and black shoe polish to put color back into old sun bleached antlers. Nice job.
Awesome job on those antlers! I like to use oil paint (burnt umber) for antlers or if stain I'll use some minwax stain (puritain pine) to color them. Anyway big fan of your work!!!
Looks great! My Pops use to be a taxidermist.... where you put the extra piece of fabric around the horns looks good but you can also rope around the base of the horns. Also if you have trouble with the leather you can use a heat gun to help make it more pliable.
Awesome video!!!! I get so excited when you post a new skull cleaning video and this one was no exception!!! I would like to see a video on skull repair cuz occasionally I will damage a skull or revive a skull damaged and I’m very interested to see how you would save the beauty!! Keep on posting!!
I’ve been using the smaller basswood plaques from Hobby Lobby lately too. Awesome idea to use the same stain you used for the antlers. Hope RU-vid lets you keep doing the skull videos
Hey Brother! Christ Bless! I use Black Danish Oil, on my knife handles. Polished on a buffing wheel, the bone/ antler comes out looking antique.Takes a while for the Danish oil to dry. Maybe future experiment. That turned out pretty good! Blessings! Hawk.
Way to go man that looks awesome. I love watching all your videos. I hope you can keep on keep'n on and "they"let you keep posting. Good luck and God bless
That really turned out awesome Ryan! I'm glad to see your channel growing despite what RU-vid has to say. Thanks for sticking with it even though they make it tough. Much appreciated ! 💨💨💨🤣🤣🤣
Awesome Video. You really make everything look easy, from the woodwork, to molding, to leatherwork. You put extra strips of leather around the base of the antlers - to spice this up, you can braid two or three pieces of leather into strips, then glue them around the base of the antlers - a guy did that years & years ago on a Whitetail Mount for me and it looks really nice. I'm unfortunately not in Elk Country, but I've found some Medium sized Matching Whitetail Sheds that I've bought mounting brackets for. Haven't tried staining and mounting them yet. I have an amazing video on Staining Reproduction Antlers by Erich Carter - he's also like you, a very talented fellow. However, Elk Antlers are massive, so I think the wood stain method is a good one, especially with how nice your Elk turned out. Thanks for sharing all your ideas. And although it didn't turn out so well, you get 5/5 stars for trying dirt, soil, wood, and grass clippings - that was an awesome idea.
I'm sorry RU-vid is incapable of seeing the beauty in your art, I truly am. I want you to know I've really enjoyed your videos and even started my own plaque mount. Keep on doing your thing sir, it's inspiring. Loved the clip of the misses btw.
It turned out beautiful. Man, I love your videos. Your videos represent the beauty and story of the animal. I love how you restored it like it wasn’t rotten and looking like it was caught yesterday. I hope youtube won’t give you another hard time because we really love your videos. I hope you can get another alligator skull cleaning video out. I really love that one.
Beautiful work, it's so satisfying to watch you work and I've learned enough to attempt doing skulls myself for family members, hopefully you can keep the videos up or at least move them someplace where we can all still enjoy, best of luck
I dont understand what youtube has a problem with. Are they trying to say you should only eat the meat and throw the rest in the garbage? Hunters are SUPPOSED to make the most out of every animal life taken and use every possible piece of that animal to ensure the animal didn't go to waste after death. A trophy is a momento, a talisman that represented the animal that died to feed a human family and a commemoration to a difficult hunt and a beautiful animal. That way every time the hunter who harvested sees it he can reminisce and respect that animal and the challenge it presented. Huge fan of your work buddy keep the craft alive and if your forced to switch platforms to share your skills and traditions i will surely follow.
Bud I love your work! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! I like your videos as is but for RU-vid maybe take some dead heads/ sheds and make videos restoring the color then make things out of them like lamps and big antler hanging lights. Maybe take some the rough dead heads and hydrograph them IDK. AS far as I am concerned you can keep on doing your videos the way you have been because I really like them the way they are bud. Keep going and God Bless!
Man awesome job. I hope RU-vid gets straightened out because every time I question how to mount horns or how would I do this skull or how would I clean this skull I always always go through your videos first. Your videos have made me want to get my skull and antler taxidermy license and do this. I’ve been working on lots of antlers my father had and lots of skulls I get from wherever I can. Good luck.
PLEASE DO MORE RESTORATION PROJECTS!!!! it’s what I’m working on right now and you’re the absolute best. I have about 20 cow skulls from my grandpas ranch, hog skulls, and a horse skull (newer) I am really loving your channel!
Great work as always I do all my own professional quality euro mounts myself thanks to your other videos even restored an old one I had similar to this before after having seen your touch up stain tip
Looks epic your channel is informative and creative Keep up the good work I'm gonna be attempting my first euro mount soon On a few springbucks that i got
Love your vidoes, keep them coming. Got a tip for you. Try using potassium permaginate, it paints on purple but dries natural antler color, and it's very cheap. I shot a buck in velvet, had to boil away the velvet cause it was infected with ticks and puss. I was left with pure white antlers after boiling on oxyclean like the skull. Painted on potassium permaginate and you can't disguinish from natural. Works great for touch ups too when the boil gets under the saran wrap. Hope i was able to contribute something back to you, I appreciate all your vidoes.
I'm going to be doing my own taxidermy. Your videos are going to help make that possible because I cant afford to have my animals done professionally. Thank you for the videos!
