There's a guy that uses this to make miniature railroad dioramas. Not quite the same thing but he has been using this a bit longer.

Awesome job! I didn’t even know revelveting antlers was an option. I have an old set of whitetail antlers in velvet that my old man shot in the early 80’s with his bow. The mice got to them and ate holes on the velvet. I think I might try stripping them and attempt this myself. Great video as always. Thanks for sharing! Cheers!

WOW! What a amazing video and a big thank you for showcasing our products. Your tutorial of how to use the Static King, Velvet Kit and its accompanying supplies to re-velvet these caribou antlers was excellent. We are so appreciative of you sharing the process and what you've learned with your subscribers and RU-vidrs. We can't wait to see your elk antlers video, too. Keep up the great work!

Another great job! When I saw the title of this video; I thought to myself: "I bet static grass would work for that!" Sure enough, that is exactly what you did! I have been using woodland scenics products for years for dioramas, model kits, wargaming miniatures etc. and I was geeking out watching it used on this as well! Cheers!

As someone who is huge into the mini hobby building community it was really funny to see another use for a tool! I have always used it for applying fake grass to my minis. A tip that will help with cleanup on the table is if you get a vacuum and place pantyhose over the nozzle it will suck up the fuzz and keep it safe in the netting. I recommend looking up videos in the mini community, very different from your content but you might pick up some more great tips on how others use the tool for other hobbies.

I've tried cleaning velvet like that off an axis deer (definitely not tht fresh though) and just blew through the antlers. Different (earlier) stage of growth maybe? You mentioned at the beginning that they lost a nose bone. Did you replace it with somethng from your 'parts bin'? How did you cleaning and prep work allign with the instructions that came with the kit? DO the colors that come withthe kit change based ont eh species kit you buy? I'm wondering how important it is to specify the orrect species when ordering. Nice to hear the classic 'closing' is back! LOL!! Thanks for the great tutorial Ryan!
@WHITEBONE

I love the velvet look on the caribou, but after watching videos of hunts, they always strip it off. Now there's a way to have the velvet look without the decomp from the blood and tissue.

I really want a caribou bull but sadly they don’t ship to me so I had the marvelous idea to buy a caribou rack and dismount them so I can mount it on a deer like a red stag skull and that, how do you recommend dismounting a antler rack?
@Ripkallen
@Ripkallen Год назад
Looks like a great product and everything. The only problem I have is the fact that it doesn't give the right look, since there is a whole lot of tissue involved when the bull has the real velvet. So for me it doesn't look realistic enough. But great job nonetheless!
