He did one hell of a damn good job surviving. Isaac was on the ship for days whereas Temple was there for months. That dude must have been a serious badass to survive for that long on a dead ship with everything failing one by one and even finding food or water, hell even taking a dump or finding long term shelter would be a chore.
12:29 Shortly after you find this log, you encounter a crawling slasher that only has one arm. Dude wanted to make sure anyone who ran into his reanimated corpse would have more than a fighting change, and he succeeded.
His new remastered audio log is horrifying they really made sure to put the emphasis into how painful it is to shoot your limb off with a damn plasma cutter ☹️🫡
@@patriousthefallenknight3185 His girlfriend lured him into a trap so that crazy doctor could catch and use him (and her) as sacrifice for the religion
It's my favourite game of all time and I'm actually playing it now again. Must have re run this game at least 50 times and still jump even though I know what's coming lol.
@@hanheupers1543 that's the thing about Dead Space. It's a game the rightfully makes just about every player scared however it also easily draws you in. You're scared to turn that corner yet you want to still go around it because of how of an experience the game is.
@Sgt. Negative He did turn into a necromorph. When you get into the mining deck there's a necromorph with all his limbs missing wearing an engineer suit. The only limb he has is one of his bladed arms that he uses to crawl towards you.
It's a misguided idea. There is no way for necrotic tissue to be fully safe from transformation as any tissue infected can be used to make more horrible creatures, perhaps you wouldnt be a slasher but even then those often use other body parts to form necessary limbs in the end its staying alive as long as possible that will save others from the potential of another hellish fiend stalking the metal arteries of the ishimura
The last audio log is terrifying hundreds people dead instantly, escape pods destroyed knowing you’re stuck and the last message you give out is telling anybody to not land..
I wish we could have a better transitions between movies and games. It was obvious, that they gave they gave them storyline and visuals to make this movie, but end up changing things in finished game. There are plot holes, wrong timing. In the end, it makes sense, but devil is in a detail. Downfall was nice, but there was just too much of differences for my liking. Same goes for Extraction. However, even with those differences, it´s still better than Aftermath. Which is nice transition between DS1 and DS2 with introduction of Nolan Stross. But damn, I hate how they switched animation styles. I know that it supposed to be individual storytelling of those 4 O´Bannon survivors with every style for each with CGI one, the worst one, being adhesive that glued rest together. I had a problem to see this film at all. Sometimes it was almost hard to know who is who. For example, Nolan looking like a fu*able fella and badass and then like a total weak nerd.
Temple little story make ya wonder what kind of shit he had to deal with all the ship going to hell, I mean just trying to fix the ship with out being killed is hard enough
@@gsamalot cross eventually succumbed to the dementia and allowed challus mercer to kill her, while Temple resisted or is possibly immune and fought against Mercer, which is why he was gagged and tied up.
Here a small easter egg for temple he's paralad counter part from a game similar to dead space called system shock. And he did almost what temple here did except his girl friend becomes shodan in the end
@@whirlybird268 I thought they eventually found each other but Cross was killed by Mercer before Temple, I think her body is on the floor next to the spot Temple dies in the chair by Mercer
I really wish we got a prequel dlc where we played as them. Especially Abraham's story seeing the Aegis VII colony in its whole & seeing everyone around him getting killed from his partner committing suicide and turning into the corruption to his Girlfriend sacrificing herself to shut the doors.
Vincent is dead, in the vacuum of space currently. Neumann’s final log states to not look for him as” they may not like what they find” suggests he ends up committing suicide, and on the wiki it shows a pic possibly from the comic, of a possible dead Neumann and Marla, his girlfriend, as part of the corruption.
general Spencer mahad is the unsung hero. he recognised that the expedition to tau volantis was an extinction level outbreak and ordered scenario 5. he and the scaf loyalist killed the other soldiers, destroyed all the vehicles and data and then killed themselves to prevent the spread to the rest of the world. mahad ordered his own death to prevent a further outbreak. he and the scaf forces even knew that the manpower lost with the scenario 5 will garentee them losing the war on earth.
@@mullythebully5557 technically general mahad doomed humanity, since he purged the codex, and there was a chance Tim and dr sereno or however you spell there names, could have got there and turn on the machine. In sense, yes he did the right thing since they were losing the war, but still
Whoever the voice actor is for the "patient" that Mercer has between 7:41 to 8:20 did an OUTSTANDING voice job. Seriously, it really feels like the actor wasn't even acting and the developers were just straight up torturing the guy.
Temple really stood out. Felt terrible for the guy and Elizabeth. I’ve always liked the average joe who keeps his nerve in a nightmare situation. Wish he’d lived.
ThAT Sgt Neumann of P-Sec audio log in the end was the main narrator and character of the comic deadspace storyline. He speaks of the initial outbreak and how all hell broke loose. He was a badass too that fought to the bitter end like a true soldier. He sadly probably became a necromorph being left all alone or starved to death. He probably would have offed himself too from the huge headaches the marker signal gives off. He was screwed either way like everyone was.
If they ever plan on returning to Dead Space, they really need to make a spin off game where you play as Jacob Temple throughout the initial first hours of the infestation to the very end where you see Isaac come through the door. It would be really neat to watch your team get picked off one by one and see what's going on while the logs are being recorded.
1:59 so this happens occasionally when a unitologist sees it first hand and says okay that was not Devine that was hp lovecraft stuff. Cool at least they had brains.
I don't know what was going through Isaac's head, and I doubt this was the case, he's no Doom Slayer, but I like to think he's gotta be more pissed off than scared
I heard that there’s an audio log of Jacob Temple mentioning ‘old boyfriends’ as he talks about Elizabeth, whether referring to his sexuality in the past or talking about her old boyfriends. Someone said this was in the original game, but I do know it’s in the remake and it might just the remake’s original add on.
officially, the earth government forces never knew how to effectively kill the Necros, since they're been trained to shoot on center masses, and even at the moment where they get it, it's often too late for them
Guys its simple. Plot convenience, its a dead space game not halo. The military aren't going to be able to do anything vs the player. They'd realize pretty quickly bodyshots don't do anything. And start shooting limbs apart. The mona lisa is a little more realistic in how military personnel would react to something like the necromorphs.
@@halinaqi2194 the problem with that is they realized that bodyshots isn't working often when they already dead or close enough to get infected by necromorph and they're pretty much fully trained to aimed head/center of mass of whatever they shoot because that's what they trained for so switching to limb maybe will take a while and they already dead before the information can spread widely. it's plot convenience but it's got good basis behind it, don't undermine it by saying 'Guys its simple, plot convenience, its a dead space game not halo'. tho i do understand your reason if you're halo fan so please forgive my remarks if you feel offended this is just friendly reminder to try to don't undermine story from game with good story.
@@null8036 there's a bit of plot convenience involved so that necromorphs overrun a military ship in a short time from a single necromorph. Its is what it is, it's a good game, nice story, I watched the animation of what happened before isaac arrives. Sure the necromorphs are a jig threat but id say the bigger threat was the mental effect markers have.
I Wonder What Was Sergeant Neumann Fate? I Saw Dead Space Motion Comic Story; That He Left A Personal Vid Saying Don't Come To The Colony. But Did He Make It To Another Bay With Shuttle Or Did He Get Infected?
@@patriousthefallenknight3185 It's been a while, but I think one of the final pages of the comic shows a male and female necro that look like them embracing, so people speculate it's them
alissa vincent: if you find this recording ishimura and the artifact must be destroy, tell other's on earth we fought and die bravery don't let us be forgotten this is chef alissa vincent signing off. dead space 1: who's alissa vincent???? downfall: ....
Well she's at least mentioned in a text log in the remake but woulda been cool if her audio log was on board the ishimura too. She looked different, but Alissa Vincent was also briefly seen in the prequel game Deadspace: Extraction when apprehending some survivors from Aegis 7. Some of which, like Gabe Weller, are mentioned in anThe aftermath and Downfall movies were just movies not completely attached to the game series. At least there's a little nod in the games to the movies. Like in Deaspace 2 where Ellie sees the Ishimura and mentions a terrorist attack that "happened" there which of course Isaac rebukes. This attack of the "terrorist" was referring to Elizabeth Cho, the lady Stross was having an affair with, who got lobotomized and blamed for the "attack" on the Ishimura.
@@bobbq8380 she's barely in dead space extraction also gabe was only in the prequal till his death in dead space 2 the only person was mention was nolan stross including frank at the begining of dead space 2 but yea i'm pleased that she was mention in the remake for the first time.
One of them doesn't make sence. This guy shot his arm off then shot his other arm off then somehow he shot his head off. How the heck did he shoot his head off if he had no arms?
@@aaronthegreat7717 He never shot his head off though, idk what you mean by that. He succumbed to trauma and blood loss after cutting away one of his hands and both his legs. If I remember right, you can even find a nechromorph nearby the audio log that's missing one arm and both legs, and has to drag itself across the floor with one hand.
