Could you eventually make a video on the differences between nightmares and horrors? I think it's strange so many nightmares and no nightmare mage summoning them...
That was my first thought. I was really kind of hoping you would have something about starvation. and it would be cool to have a wendigo thing so long as the specific native tribe that came up with the windigo thing was consulted and give it the okay
@@satec77 Wendigo are most closely associated with the Algonquian tribes and there's no single representative body to ask. What's more there's not really a need to ask any more than there's a need to ask Europeans permission to feature dragons, or the persians to feature manticores, etc. Especially if you're making a fantasy variation that is at most a homage to the idea.
What we imagine as a wendigo is mostly a European idea of an indigenous spirit/creature. The common depiction of a skull faced, antlered, long limbed monster are relatively recent from European-American movies, comics, and video games.
I have a question about mutate. Because we go Voltron-style and stack creatures liked auras, the threat of getting 2-for-1'd is very scary, so we need protection. There are some green hexproof spells, white indestructible ones, but I have a question about some of the 1-mana black protection spells like Supernatural Stamina. It returns the creature to the battlefield if it dies... but what happens to all the mutated creatures stacked with it? Do they all come back? Or is the creature on top (the creature that shows its name) the only one?
I feel like it just falls short of being a good Commander card. But costs one too many to be playable in modern But I think it'll be a really solid win condition for any decks in standard
The real Cat/Nightmare/Beast is Church from Pet Semetary. Church also had deathtouch and Lifelink but on top of that, also knew karate. I really like Nethroi btw
I want to build a commander deck around this it technically has its own way to bring back what you used to mutate it I think this would do well and reanimate really cool creatures and also walking balisa and makous combo is a thing in this deck
I've always liked Abzan, but it seems like it's always just an enchantment style. Really glad it's going back to being reanimator, which I've always preferred.
