Among the mythical Apex monsters in Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths, there is the tale of Brokkos, Apex of Forever. It is said that Brokkos is the oldest monster in Ikoria, the first of these creatures on the Plane. Brokkos is the God of Beasts in the region of Zagoth. Beasts is one of the oldest creature types in Magic: The Gathering and they remain relatively unchanged in Ikoria. Brokkos is a strong card with the new Mutate mechanic.
