Why would I even bother sinking hundreds of hours into this when I know cheaters are eventually gonna ruin it without much pushback from Valve? Like, they don't care about the state of TF2 at all and aren't doing everything they could for Counter Strike, I'm sorry, but I ain't dedicating myself to competitive multiplayer games anymore, specially those made by Valve, cause these companies only want one thing *MONEY* Valve used to be different, but that was for a very brief period of time and it was a long time ago, unless Deadlock is the game where Valve reveals a new sort of anti-cheat system I ain't gonna bother playing it, It's just gonna be a waste of time.

The problem is that malicious people behind botting are actively updating their software MORE than actual virus creators, and even those are a pain in the ass to try to do anything about. If they changed VAC to be Kernel-based, you will have thousands of people then bitching about "I DON'T WANT ANY ROOTKIT SOFTWARE ON MY COMPUTER", though it would help solve a chunk of said issue.
@@ThatGuyInTheBack007 I'm sorry, TF2 is literally abandoned, they fucked up the matchmaking, killed community servers, limited players ability to kick bots and just stopped trying to do anything about it for a long time, cheaters have gotten so good at updating their cheating software for Valve games BECAUSE Valve did nothing about it for a long time. I ain't investing any time into Deadlock until they get their shit together. They'll probably just abandon it eventually anyway, I'll stick to Valve's single player games now thx, even tho they're rare.
This game will only get the TF2 treatment if it's not as much of a cash cow as CS or Dota (or at least doesn't trend that direction). Valve effectively countered cheaters in CS (premiere matchmaking is a fantastic system that more games need). Can't speak to Dota because I don't play it but my friends do and have never mentioned cheaters. The cheating problem in CS is overblown though, overwatch+premiere is a good system. It inherently filters the vast majority of cheaters into non-premiere lobbies. Otherwise VAC is a pretty flawed anti-cheat but so are pretty much all anti-cheat systems. Even Valorant/League isn't perfect, and even if they were Riot has infinite money and resources to put into anti-cheat development, and its proprietary so it's irrelevant to other game publishers anyways. You can't ask for the impossible, but I agree it has to be better than TF2 (which people seem to forget only became a problem after Valve abandoned it, thus not an issue for a new game)
It's time to grow up sadly, the time we spent playing old valve games was great, but nothing in this world is immortal, companies get greedy. It's time to do something else
Keep in mind this is kind of a spiritual successor to Dota, and Valve to this day is cooking the big ones for that game. It's honestly incredible how differently Valve treats Dota compared to CS and especially TF2.

testers were under NDA, all it takes is enough people reposting leaked footage for it to become very difficult for Valve to do anything. You can litigate thousands of people posting the footage, none of whom were under NDA.
looks clean, but i wish the characters were a bit more unique. half their guns is just an automatic rifle and their 1st and ult abilities all seem to be very similar (aoe ability with effect). also, everything seems really.. chunky.. which i think works in a moba but a moba with fps elements needs a slightly higher ttk i feel. just to feel that responsiveness you'd want from the fps side. other than that, they're cooking.
It is an alpha, so chances are ALLOT is going to change over the next year or so until they release it. Honestly though reminds me of gigantic a bit, hoping they flush more things out for sure.
character weapons and ultimates are definitely unique idk where youre getting that from.. yes a few have AOEs.... all of which function and operate in entirely different ways..
Its worth keeping in mind this is a LEAK as in, its in alpha and the public shouldnt even know about it yet. Lots is going to change in the coming months, hopefully for the better, but who knows, we will see.
Пожалуй, однако думаю она больше понравиться дотерам и вероятно гражданам из овервотча, для средних фанов тф2 она не подойдёт предположу, меня она не заинтересовала но я вероятно дам ей шанс авось будет как с тф2 в свое время когда я начинал, тем не менее не думаю что я задержусь в ней не на долго, я не из тех кто любит потеть и получать удовольствие исключительно от надписи «победа» в конце раунда, я уже в такие игры наигрался, тем не менее надеюсь это будет хорошая игра для тех кого она сейчас привлекает
@@cucumber1955 понимаю, мне нравится тф2 за то что она олдовая и выглядит соответствующе и там эстетика и геймплей остался прежний если бы они выпустили тф3 то боюсь там уже не было того шарма, так что пока нормик думаю может после этой игры валв решит заняться всеми своими играми по серьезному и продвигать их
@@creepyghost928 я честно об этом не думаю, чем растягивать силы на проэкты с маленькой прибылью, куда проще и эффективнее бросить силы на работу с успешными проэктами и своим новым детищем, тф2 если что и получит то только если произойдёт чудо, я ни одного обновления не застал, самое интересное что я застал это VSH зомби режим и переход игры на 64х битную систему или как там, я бы хотел надеяться и верить но так горечь потери будет тяжелее, а так, я ничего не жду соответственно если что и будет я не разочаруюсь или не будет так же обидно как могло бы быть
Jesus Christ this looks disgustingly uninspired. If I didn't know Valve made this I'd assume it was just another bust-out trend chasing AA studio. I think we need to accept that even if Valve is still intending to push frontiers, it's not in normal M&K gaming anymore.
It's competing for the moba crowd. There is not necessarily a lot of overlap with the tactical shooter crowd (there is some, but mostly due to Steam). The question should be whether this can compete with titles like Smite 2 and League of Legends. Knowing Valve it will blow either out of the water quality wise, so there is that.

Came here from Smite. Looks interesting. Game has a lot of Smite similarities, and guess Valve has been giving Smite ex-pros/content creators access to Deadlock to test since Smite is dying. All the feedback from has been really really good and that they will probably hop to Deadlock when it comes out
I have a question. Do you have a way to heal, like by going back to base, or can you only get back to full health via the passive regen/eventual lifesteal items or whatever

I know this game is still in Alpha but I dont see the point in making a game like this. This game will likely be F2P so it will need a sustainable player base for in game purchases. This game likely wont be better than CS2, TF2, Dota2, or any other competing multiplayer game, so it will likely be dead within the first few weeks.
The fuck do you mean, this is a game that's in production. Theyre making games. If you meant a new half life series then it's also a good sign because theyre making games.
This games looks weird, which I kind of appreciate. Kind of a BioShock infinite and dishonored aesthetic. What im not excited for is another competitive thing. I want casual shit back, like tf2. Give me a 12v12 shitfest.
This goes to the moba crowd, more specifically the DOTA side of valve or Smite, which by itself is driven by competitive feels and needs, the real motivator if you find it interesting comes if you like moba type games, tastes are varied and it's all fine.
