You got some good bait this round. Big fish coming soon I do believe. I'm 65yrs old seen a lot. I'm convinced you are the best cat fisherman ever. 15 minutes your usually on fish. Most can't even get close. Your truly something else. You guitar playing is awesome also. The Two mix very well. Keep up the good work C.D. exiting to see what lies around each corner. Living life to the fullest!!
Been fishing Tennessee River for years from 40 miles through Cumberland gap. Learned to fish on Cumberland River. And every creek and mud hole >n between. Love the bluegrass Mr Dave
I dont know if you do this, but in Saltwater fishing on the east coast, we use Menhaden for bait and fresh is king. HOwever, alot of times we catch as many as we can and Vacuum seal them for later use. Vacuum packed fresh bait is almost as good as fresh in my book, slime stays on the bait and the meat doesnt get mushy at all.
I always wondered it popping corks would work. I have several in my saltwater gear. Gotta give it a try. Thanks for the info. As always, Catfish Dave your the man!!!
Dave I always learn something from you , popping cork for fresh water , wow I'll get some out of my salt water equipment , thank you so much , old dogs can learn from young dogs ,,
I enjoy watching and learning. It would be nice if you added links to the tackle used. It would be nice to see what was on the end of that Billy BAY popping cork. I thought you were saying Billy Ray and started Googling and found what I believe you were using. I assume you had a Foley Spoon or two on the end but not sure if both hooks were the same. It would be fantastic if you could answer questions that people ask so we all could learn.
I spent most of my life fishing in Maryland fishing at the Conowingo dam and fishing in Tennesee is much different from there. I have learned a lot from Catfish Dave. TY Dave
You like this popper float set up better than folley spoon? What lure you using with popper float! Sabiki style but gulp rubber baits? I love catfishing but have never had any luck catching skip jack.
Davy Crockett was from the Great State of TENNESSEE and legend says he would see a possum or raccoon in a tree and if he pointed his rifle at them they would throw up their paws and exclaim you GOT ME DAVY and scurry down the tree into his sack. 2021 CATFISH DAVE does the same thing but with fish, they exclaim YOU GOT ME DAVE and jump on the hook, and into the boat. CATFISH DAVE KING OF THE TENNESSEE RIVER AND TRIBUTARIES.
