Except it's incorrect, those are Desert Eagles in .50AE ( Action Express ) which holds 7 rounds each, which would make for 14 rounds total, 16 if you load an extra into each chamber. In any event, either way, it shouldn't be 12.

@@johnnyvivic8730 I dunno, a high enough power rifle round will most certainly go through at least three skulls, but the .50 AE has a muzzle velocity of about 1500 fps depending on brand and grain. Deadpool's rounds seem to be hand loads and (given the split cases being ejected) it seems like he loads them especially hot, so these bullets are probably even faster. I'd be willing to bet that at least three skulls is a reasonable estimate.

@@BrooseyBonushmm. Assuming that he reloaded before the start of this scene and he's got a total of 12 rounds between two guns, it looks like you're right. Could've sworn the .50 AE desert eagle only had a 5 round magazine capacity. Two guns with a full mag each plus one in each chamber, (5 + 1) X 2, at least my math was right even if my basic info was wrong.

It and the brown pants actually refer to the same joke. A ship captain and his crew spy a pirate vessel in the distance and the captain calls for the first mate to bring him his red shirt. The mate does so and, in the fight that follows, everyone fights bravely to win against the pirates. Several days later, it's three pirate ships in the distance and the captain once again calls for his red shirt. Again, in the following fight, his crew fights valiantly and they win. After the battle, the first mate asks "Why the red shirt, captain?" To which the captain replies "The red shirt is so that, if I take an injury, none of you lads sees me bleed and you keep fighting with a high morale." A few days later, a score of pirate ships are spied off in the distance. With a stone cold sober expression, the captain looks to his first mate. "Bring me my brown pants."

It’s also referenced later in the movie. During the big flashback where Deadpool goes after the Francis’ henchmen, he’s trying to get blood out of his first white suit and the old blind lady tells him to use lemon juice on the blood stains or wear red. Deadpool was actually telling the truth when he said “it’s so bad guys can’t see me bleed”.
