No it ruins the whole tone of the movie. It shouldn't be THAT increddibly seriously and depressing. We would not have been able to appreciate the comedy of the character if they kept this In... deadpool is not mean to be THIS SERIOUS....

@@Xel_gamesas someone who uses comedy as a coping mechanism, it would’ve made wade seem MUCH more relatable and would’ve given him DEPTH on why he uses so much comedy in serious moments, because the last time he took things serious, he almost lost everything.

It would also be a much better reason why he decided to stay away from Venessa he ran away from this place where he killed this doctor not cause he was afraid of anyone hurting him he ran away because he felt sick and tired and felt ashamed of what Venessa would think of him

I read Deadpool from about 97 to 2000 or 2001. The original comics were not a laugh a minute. By the early 2010s he'd been ruined in the comics, turned into a clown. The movies are now doing the same thing.

There was also an entire New Mutants issue happening around him, but that mysterious Deadpool was interesting, some freak sent out mpby Mr Tolliver to kill people. There was some decent humour in the Circle Chase and the self titled 4 issue 'Deadpool'. They and the first ongoing series was both funnier but also more poignant than the current moron referred to as Deadpool. Most modern fans hear Deadpool and think of a scene from the movies or "cHiMIcHAnGAs LOL!!!". Old or former fans think "MY FACE!!!" and get a lump in our throats.

dp has always been a story about an abuse victim power fantasy and honestly i think the movie does that justice even without this clip doe i wish they tried harder to make it work

werewolfroad Of course she did, but there's a huge difference between implying it and showing it. Imagine the scene of her watching him stab that guy in a room full of elderly people and a child, combined with the ending of her saying she'd love him no matter what he looked like and the main focus of the plot being his appearance and not well... the fact he killed a guy in front of a room full of people and ran away from her in Mexico of all places. That would play on the audiences mind more than anything and properly addressing it would risk ruining the fun tone of the movie and not properly addressing it would ruin the message of the emotional backbone of the movie.

@@brianthomason5022this is based on a scene in Man on the moon, the Andy Kaufman bio pic, where he has cancer and they pretend to remove it. In the movie Andy just laughs historically because of it, but this is loosely based on that scene.

Yeah the other guy is right, it definitely wasn't in the movie in theatres. Now for Deadpool 2, they changed things from theatrical to home release.

Well, I forgot you guys went to the theater with me. Oh, wait a minute, I went with my mom and brother in law, not you guys. And wouldn't you be surprised, ALL 3 OF US remember that scene. So, idc what you remember. It was definitely in the movie. How else would I recognize the scene if it's not on the digital copy I purchased? It was 100% on the cut in theaters. I remembered watching the movie when it was released for home purchase and thinking "didn't they do more during wade's treatment in theaters?" Instead of arguing that Deadpool 1 didn't have that deleted scene but that Deadpool 2 DID have deleted scenes, wouldn't it just be smarter of you both to admit you just forgot about it? Instead of insisting that it just plain never happened? Both of you are wrong. I specifically remember this scene from the theaters.

Maybe in some countries it was left in I saw the film in Canada in theatres and never once saw this

Nah no the movie was perfect. This scene would have destroyed the tone of the whole film. It had enough heart breaking scenes, this is too much. I have no idea why ya'll think make everything as grim dark as possible makes it good... Deadpool is not grim dark all the time, it needs the comedy and this would have made the comedy feel out of place...
