It reminds me of a leak that went round a while back that said Deadpool and Wolverine was damage control. To be specific, Deadpool was apparently recruited by the TVA to "fire" (a euphemism for kill) parts of the MCU that weren't working. It sounds too good to be true, but I imagined a scene where Korg is just chilling in New Asgard. Deadpool shows up and reduces him to a rock pile with a jackhammer. He then says "Sorry, Waititi. Ragnarok was fun, but Love and Thunder? Ouch"
I think seeing Deadpool go into sword tornado mode to decapitate Kamala, America, riri, namorrrr etc all in one flowing take culminating in taking out feige AND the KEVIN robot as bo demayo content discretely plays on a random Laptop… could restore my love for mcu
1. I was worried about this movie due to it being partially under Marvel/Disney's umbrella, but the trailer really got my hopes up 2. To be fair, these movies depict Deadpool as he *should be* Not as just a walking-talking meme, but as an arsehole with a heart of gold, a broken man who hides his trauma and borderline insanity with jokes & 4th wall breaks Some of the best Deadpool stories are where the comedy is balanced with Wade showing genuine *humanity* and these movies do it really well
she does have TK: given the vast potential in Xavier's genome coupled with the DNA manipulating aspects of a Mummudrai/ Revenant, Cassandra Nova was able to build her own body from scratch, mimicking human traits as best she can. Cassandra Nova is able to access the full spectrum of latent mutant functions in Xavier's genome (she seemingly has the powers of Charles Xavier, the ones he could have and the ones he might receive as a result of latent mutation), granting herself vast psionic powers.[13] These powers include telepathy, telekinesis, and a bio-phasing ability.
While the trailer certainly makes this film look like it'll be worth watching.....that's not an ironclad guarantee. That said I'm of the opinion that Disney/Marvel is letting this film through so as to win back a portion of the fans, and especially the investors, so they can fleece them with the next round of garbage movie's they no doubt have planned to push THE MESSAGE. All we can do is wait to see what news comes out of the Collapsing Kingdom before this film hits theaters and then see what happens after.
No one going to mention how much Hugh Jackman is KILLING it in that comic accurate Wolverine suite? They said it couldn't be done in live action but he is doing it.
Cassandra Nova is a Twin of Charles, she has the exact same powers. The only difference is that she lacks the ability for compassion or empathy. It would seem that all went to the Professor. I would compare her to Onslaught (the Merged form of magneto and Prof x)
Yea I like Ryan Reynolds, but I'd like to see something a little different than what I already saw in the previous movies...clever comedy would be nice instead of the cookie cutter quipes
I think the wasteland takes place in the Old Logan comic book universe where the supervillains took over and killed most of the superheroes. We might see inbreed Hulk monsters!
Deadpool and later Gwenpool. Even in the 90's he was my 3rd favorite superhero/anti hero. First was Bishop and cable as a tie, then green lantern core, loved the idea of willpower, then deadpool. I was a wierd kid.
After Holywierd kept insulting me and bait-switching the audience . . . yeah I wait for it to come out and then watch a few reviewers I trust before remotely even care about it (any other flick). But I hope this film doesn't let you down.
with all the drama behind the scenes with Fiege trying to have a woman defeat the duo and emasculate the due, I think i'll be skipping it. From She-Hulk, to female Silver Surfer. From White Tiger to Wolverina (parody comic Stan Lee made). And now its got Cassandra Nova as the villain. Que the scene Kevin Fiege wanted of the men being emasculated.
@@AzguardMike Too true. I feel it is dead in the water. But maybe just maybe, Ryan and Hugh will still have enough pull to take care of the fans. I doubt though.
I called it months ago - the people who cried about nostalgia bait referring to Spiderman, The Flash, Jurassic Park etc, will CHEER when they see alllllllll of the cameos in D&W.
That Antman corpse is from Old Man Logan, Pym Falls. I believe the parts we're seeing in this trailer are going to be a direct adaptation of Old Man Logan comic. All due respect to Logan, it's a fantastic movie, but it is literally nothing like the comic book. I think part of this movie is gonna be doing the actual comic storyline. I think this trailer only shows what we'll see in the first 30 or so minutes. I believe they're holding their cards really close to the chest with all the surprises, the specific plot details and cameos.
I knew that once Marvel introduced the multiverse concept that it would become Hollywood's favorite toy. Plus, they'd see it as a get out of jail free card to excuse lazy writing.
I'm guessing the Giant-man skeleton is a reference to Old Man Logan (Pym Falls). I'm seeing a lot of visuals that look like they are from that, or a similar world. I'm also guessing Cassandra Nova is taking Magneto's place in that world.
Also poke fun of the oversaturation of shared universes as well with having to watch endless crap to understand crap. Like how the Disney plus shows are so heavily connected that normies get confused. Shared universes need to stop just like these multiverse gimmicks need to stop! There’s too much content that’s canon that it gets overwhelming. We can’t have just good standalone stories anymore for films especially for comic book movies. 😔
Im a real deadpool fan since 91 92, deadpools best runs are his villain days vs x force, his 2 4 part comic limited series's, JOE KELLYS Deadpool run 60 or so issues which to me is the best deadpool, Deadpool maxx, cable & deadpool... So far i dont like who they picked as the villain for D&W
It's jarring to hear Wolverine and Deadpool swearing. Only bc this is under Disney umbrella. Even if the movie was mostly shot and put together before Disney bought fox studios. Disney could've easily taken out the F bombs and we wouldn't have known. I agree about the multiverse. It's nowadays used as a crutch, if fans aren't happy with a story from the comics or movies. They always say it's not main continuity. This is on another earth. Remember cap. America being a sleeper agent for hydra? Even though it wasn't established in the comic, marvel made a statement saying this is an alternate cap. from another world.
I just hope it's as good or better than the second movie ..I don't want the steam to run out as I know Ryan and his team are passionate about these movies and I know Ryan fought hard to get some of the things in this movie done. But we all know when a series keeps going it can start to die off eventually, but I'll definitely go see it
Trailer looks promising, like they really did stay out of Ryan's way. That was the one thing I've been worried about. Deadpool isn't Deadpool if you try and neuter him. Good catch on Cassandra Nova. I legitimately thought they went the female Professor X route or something😂.
I am not holding my breath that this is gonna save the mcu. Maybe it's cos I did want an old wolverine to come back, or maybe cos I don't like Deadpool. I see this movie making around 600 million though
im in two minds about watching it. Been following all the drama behind the scenes. From Jenna Ortega cancelling her MCU contract over the DEI stuff, to all the women cameos they wanted to emasculate Hugh and Ryan in the 3rd act. Jenna was going to be White Tiger but they wanted alot of DEI and LGBT stuff, she walked away. She was also slatted to be in the next trilogy of Star Wars & Pirates films, but all those talks fell through then there was going to be the female Silver Surfer, who would defeat the duo in the third act. then there is Wolverina, a parody character Stan Lee made who is just Logan with breasts, not to be confused with his clone daughter from the film Logan. She was going to appear in the third act too and defeat the duo we all know about the View, current threats of a legal battle ongoing from Woopie and Joy and of course, this guys favourite M-SHE-U heroine was going to cameo and run a train wreck on the duo and beat them. She-Hulk. All the above was shot down by Ryan and Hugh, who even walked off set and threatened to can the film. And what do we see in this trailer? Cassandra Nova, a woman, rag dolling Logan with a shit eating smirk and talking down at him because he is a man. Looks like Fiege found a way to slip in *The Message* regardless. The drama behind the scenes is probably going to be more entertaining than this film, sadly.
Great new trailer reaction, for Deadpool 3. Thorias. but I have got to be honest, while I loved The Wolverine & Deadpool 2. I wasn't feeling it with this trailer. but I could be proven wrong. :)
Movie seems to lean a bit into Old Man Logan in that the world did go to hell and most of the heroes are dead, right down to the whole Giant Man's body being used as a fortress
Might turn out to be a decent fun movie, but there is no way in hell it's going to save the crumbling MCU phase 4/5 .. there is no saving that at this point.
I don't mind the Multi-verse if used properly but I think Disney uses it as an excuse to go off the source material and come up with their own versions MCU characters.
Here are just a few examples of films and shows that people and the media have said would save the MCU: -Did Spider-Man: No Way Home save the MCU?(NO) -Did Loki TV Show save the MCU?(NOPE) -Did Dr. Strange: Multiverse of Madness save the MCU?(HELL NO!!!!) -Did Ant-Man & The Wasp: QuantumMania save the MCU?(F*CK NO!!!!!!!!!) The MCU ended with Endgame and what we got now is the M-SHE-U multiverse garbage that will never get fixed since Kevin Feige is still in power. Wolverine's story ended in Logan and Ryan Reynold's annoying fan-fiction doesn't interest me at all since Disney is only doing this because they are desperate.
It always seemed to me that Deadpool was a totally different series from the rest...I'm over the whole multi verse stuff too...would be better to see Deadpool using Cables time travel watch, but showing tva in this, doesn't look like it
The idea of Charles Xavier losing control of his powers due to a degenerative brain disease and killing people around him in telepathic seizures is scary (and tragic) enough. Cassandra Nova is basically a female equivalent to Xavier with an even wider range of psionic abilities (thanks to her Mummudrai powers) and full control over them but ZERO empathy. To my knowledge, she doesn't have as many powers or quite as much potential as Legion, Phoenix, Hope Summers, Jamie Braddock, or Scarlet Witch. But she's still an Omega-level mutant. Even Phoenix at her most malicious at least had some capacity for humanity when a character she knew (Ex- Logan in X3) managed to get through to her. Nova has no such heart or emotions to get through to. God help the MCU if she gets her own Cerebro. We saw in X2 how Xavier nearly killed all mutants and humans (under Jason Stryker's influence). With that device, Nova could easily wipe out entire planets' populations all at once with speed & effectiveness that rivals Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet.
I dunno. I have found both trailers for this film incredibly off putting. They may be fun (though for me the joke with Deadpool ran out before the end of the second film) but they feel like they have no weight at all.
Honestly when I heard that Zeb Wells was part of writing this I didn’t want to give this movie a chance. I mean the man and the Editorial staff and executives at Marvel Comics ruined Spider-Man. Seeing this trailer has given me home but I’ll think I’ll wait for the reviews before going.
I am Jack's total lack of surprise making Logan the "Tired old failure of a man that's given up" trope. It's almost the only way a white male that hasn't bent the knee to the new Hollywood order can get a role that isn't a villain.
The trope itself isn't the problem; the refusal to let the character grow past it and show his awesome nature again is the problem. That won't be the case here.
Ill watch it for sure, but not being a huge comic book fan, I didnt get most of the trailer references. Oh well. If Prof X could telepathically control someones elses movements, no reason bald chick cant do it too.
I am still not convinced that this is going to be good. You are not going to fool me with a trailer. The trailer looks good, now show me the rest of the movie. Yeah, FF7 Rebirth is doing the multiverse now. Something I never imagined would happen but here we are. I am tired of multiverses.
The writing for the FF7 Remake (all parts), at least the overall plot, was done in 2015. That's a year before the first Doctor Strange movie came out. Multiverses weren't oversaturated yet.
@@wavion2 The multiverse was never a part of the original FF7. They never needed to add this bull shit but that is what they did. The whispers could have taken the story in an interesting direction if properly followed through on. What they ended up doing was "lol, the multiverse exists." We see Zack and the world get hit by meteor at the end. Does not matter because look, he is still alive. Because multiverse. Aerith is dead just like in OG. There is another Aerith and what do you want to bet that she is going to wake up? I do not for once second believe that Square was planning on doing the multiverse back in 2015 when they were doing Remake. I fully believe that they are making this shit up as they go. The multiverse only became a thing with Rebirth. This story is a fucking mess.
"Stick a chick in it, and make it lame and gay!" Stick a chick in it...little known semi-new character Cassandra Nova. Check. Make it lame...evil twin gender swap of better known character. Check. Make it gay...Wade interacting with Logan. Check. South Park calls another one...though this one may still be entertaining.
Cassandra nova, think of a Goauld from Stargate but transdimensional, came to our dimension while Charles Xavier was in the womb, copied his dna and created themselves a body with identical powers. So female Professor X with zero morals or conscience.
At the tip of the gun it's written "SMILE and wait for the flash" LOL I don't like "Multiverse" I prefer "MILTI PASS" in 5 Elements. Lilou saying "Mulit pass" is significantly more enjoyable. I am very distrustful of Marvel and Disney, will let people go see it and tell me if it's any good first.
