As a black metal fan who doesn't take his favorite metal genre so serious, and actually likes Deafhavens music(not so much their blatant hipsterness tho). I do gotta stand back and be like "wtf is he doing!?"
As a Deafheaven fan, I actually love this channel hahah. This guy goes into so much effort to hate on Deafheaven that I actually think he loves them really. He's in denial so he has to reassure himself by making these videos. I love it!

I hate all of those but I'd still rather listen to any one of them than listen to power metal, power metal is the worst metal out there and if you enjoy it you have the IQ of a toddler.
I'd be inclinded to agree... There is one video here on RU-vid though where it was in the midst of this band blowing up first hand, when they were performing Dream House. Gotta say though, his stage presence there isn't nearly as disturbing and silly as this lol. But let's be honest. We could put stock music behind most stage performers today and get the same comedic relief. It's not just specific to Deafheaven I promise lol

I dont listen to deafheaven all that much but I ALWAYS see them when they are in town. They put on some of the best shows. Just go to one and enjoy yourself with everyone. It is always a good time.

Deafheaven got lumped into "black metal" by critics who hear hazey guitars, blastbeats and screamed vocals and call it black metal. It isnt there fault. Theyre an incredible metal band, but they arnt really black metal. The hate directed from them is from black metal elitists who say its not black metal, which is fair, but they really are a truly amazing band

I've been a DEAFHEAVEN fan for years and I always thought George Clarke's stage antics were superfluous and sometimes a bit silly, but seeing it live is a whole different experience. It really is an intimate thing to watch him even from the back of the crowd, he Pierce's through the crowd and pulls everyone in.

Saw them live years ago. Didn’t know anything about them but they were on tour with between the buried and me and I thought they put on a good live show. I enjoyed that whole concert. They had the kindred and intronaut too. Was a very diverse lineup

Also, im willing to bet if they put corpse paint and studded leather on, you would probably be all over that. Seems to be you hate them purely based on looks, and nothing is stolen. If anything, sounds way better then most of the black metal out there (except for some of the greats such as Bathory, Mayhem, Midnight, Rotting Christ, etc) Deafheaven actually shows a lot of sound variety and I love the fact that they have a rather ‘edgy’ look to all of you. Besides, what you mean ‘stolen’? Black Metal is just 3 chord punk music on steroids anyways. Deafheaven has a new live album coming out and they are doing some re-masters of their original demo tapes, it was supposed to be the 10 year anniversary tour this year but unfortunately in postponed. Please make us a video convincing us all more and more that you’re a real big Deafheaven fan. Its all entertaining to me. Also while we are on opinion based matters, so far yours is irrelevant, and its people like you that are fueling Deafheavens fire very heavily and are making them thrive. I will tell you how I became a Deafheaven fan originally, the music was just a bonus but they were the cast out underdog and they are thriving and are telling people like you to just shut up and check out the album. love it.
