Amber/ Granger, I watched my parents go through the loss of my Brother when he was about the same age as Riv and because they were both Christians they also weathered that storm and they too relied on God and a lot of prayer. There were ups and downs ,but my parents were married for 56 years until my Dad went to be with the Lord about 3 years ago. I can tell you personally that grief is definitely a process and I still go through tough times since my Dads passing. I will remember your whole family in my daily prayers and quiet time

The car is my go to breakdown/crying place! Something about driving, music, roar of the tires! Gets your mind going!

Awe inspiring....listening to your testimony, it is so right. We don't fully understand why. We will walk in faith with our Lord and Savior, until the moment that the veil is lifted and we will have full knowledge of all. What a glorious reunion we will have with those who are asleep in the Lord. Joy does come in the morning It's all about the promise of everlasting life. 🙏🏻💕

My daughter's death 9 months ago has forever changed my life. God has shown me how weak I truly am. I weep every day as I thank God for 5421 days given me as her father. I am a wounded soldier sojourning through this life, fearful that I will suffer yet another sorrow. I struggle daily to get myself out of bed and put on a smile. I am saddened that I cannot heal my wife's pain. My children now live with a different father than they did a year ago. I fear they will suffer from the scars my emotional battles have inflicted upon myself. I am haunted by memories and hold back tears even in the midst of celebration. I now cling less to this world and think more about the eternal. The shiny baubles this world has to offer have lost some of their luster. I don't fear death as I once did. I long for heaven and restoration of this broken world when my tears will finally cease in the presence of our Lord. God has not changed, but my experience with him has. If you asked me a year ago if I felt like God should bless me because I am living a God honoring life, I would have said no. This is the correct theological answer, but in reality I felt that God was blessing me because I served him. This last year has really shaken the foundations of my faith. I have come the the realization that God owes me nothing. I owe him everything. Apart from Him I have no hope. When many deserted Jesus He looked at Peter and said "Do you want to go away as well?" Peter responded "Lord to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life". I likewise have nowhere else to turn but to Him. I'm glad to hear you are turning to the only one who can offer hope in this broken world.

I don't know if you'll see this but, my husband and I are going to see Granger in Reading PA on November 1. I just want you all to know how much your family inspires us. About 2 weeks after you lost River, our 3 year old son was diagnosed with cancer. Through it all, I have said that no matter how deep and dark our valley gets, I want to love the Lord and trust Him like you both have. I will be in tears just seeing Granger in person. May God continue to bless each of you and hold you close.

I had some health problems a few years ago. My sister told me she was proud of how I was handling the situation. I had to let her know,I had no choice. God created time for us, and each day came whether I wanted to be a part of it or not .God tells us His mercies are new every day, a fresh batch of mercy is a good way to start our days.There are many difficult days, so we pray for enough grace to make it thru this day, this moment.I pray yous are surrounded by folks who love yous ,know when to speak , or maybe just be silent but be present as yous go thru the grieving process. Yous are loved much, and are being prayed for.

I understand that God prepares you, I so get that, it makes perfect sense and we do have to fight off the enemy daily. I'll always remember the song By Garth Brooks "unanswered prayers" I think so many think if their prayers aren't answered there's no God or he doesn't care and it took me a long time to figure out that song those words are so true. God knows what he's doing. We may not agree or understand but he does. What he wants for us may not be what we want or what we have prayed for ♥️

I lost my grandma this year that I thankfully had in my life for the 27 years I’ve been on the earth she was a pastors wife and the most Godly women I will ever know one thing she always reminded me of was that she prayed for me everyday and I can’t put into words how much that has always meant to me now that she has been called home from her sufferings I still have that faith and assurance that I will see her again in a blink of an eye. y’alls story has touched me so much I have two babies my boy is 16 months and my girl is 6 weeks old it’s very trying having these two little ones but through yalls story and testimony I try harder everyday to take care of them and my wife hope yall have a merry Christmas and keep up the great videos!

Thank you for sharing this! I know I said this a while ago in January of this year my little cousins house had an explosion and we lost her 3 little boys and since then our family has all been grinning in their own ways. I do see some of my family who had faith that no longer do and that makes me sad for them. I am not religious by any means, I do work for Hospice so I deal with grief/death daily but I still wish there was more I could do to help them during this time. Thank you Amber for sharing and opening up again because it helps!!! Keep being you & doing what you all are doing. I love you all and thank you for sharing what you do & being open!!

Hey kids! I'm a little farm girl and we used to put baby raccoon on our swingset and swing them. poor little things, but they didn't seem to mind to much. In the woods by our house sometimes we would find an abandoned baby raccoon. We took them in and gave them kayro sypup in warm milk in baby bottles. Most thrived! Turned them back out in the woods when they got bigger!!

Thank you for speaking of your healing process. As I have said before in another video after losing my son my journey has been very different. You can't heal in a house that broke you. Within a year of my sons passing I became a single mom of 3 kids. It was the hardest. I never gave up completely. Some days were better then most. The day my son passed my foundation was been cracked. Sounds crazy but ive literally had to start over. I had to learn to crawl before I could run. You spoke about faith and anger. My faith completely shatrered the day of my sons passing. Something broke inside of me. I had to learn to forgive God and understand not everything is in his power. Him taking my son was NOT to hurt me or my other children. It has taken a long time to learn that I wasn't at fault. I had so much guilt. What have I done in my lifetime to deserve losing a child. Grief comes in so many shapes and colors. Nobody grieves the same. I just wanted to say that its ok to have those moments when you break down in the car or shower or even in front of our family. I tried for so long to act normal. Those thoughts of dont let anyone see that im hurting. It made things worse. Cry it out. Cry till you cant cry anymore. Anyways, wanted to say its absolutely normal for the ups and downs. The holidays are hard. For me Feb hits it feels like its downhill from there. We have 4 boys born in February not to mention V-Day. I go from celebrating a birthday to my sons passing day to celebrating another child's birthday to V-Day. Then my sons burial day and another child's birthday. It is emotionally exhausting and I hate that this is my reality. They say time heals. I'm not sure exactly if that saying is true. We learn to cope, we learn to understand a little more. As a mother I don't believe we ever really heal completely. We just learn to live and love with a shattered heart. Hugs and prayers from Arizona! ( So sorry for rambling)

I’m so glad y’all choose to be open like this. Hearing you also are young in your faith journey. I am as well. I was baptized 14 years ago. Fully excepted God in my life. So many in my life grew up in it never strayed. Sometimes I feel so outcasted by it. Then you share your story and I’m not so alone❤️. Recently had the pleasure of meeting Dan Hastline from Jars of Clay. He did a chapel at my sons small Christian school. I was so excited to meet him because when I first gave my heart to God, his music was a huge rock under my feet❤️. Thank you

You guys make me laugh and cry... the loss of a child is so painful and yes the tears and flood of emotions still hit me to this day almost 9 years after my daughter passed. I thank God for the time I got to share with her and always remember how blessed I am to be her mom. Even though I don’t know God’s plan I know his love! Not comparing situations by no means but my dad and I where talking today about how he got his first loan this week without my mom and he said I hate these firsts. She's missed so many firsts just in this short time of losing her. I don't understand it from losing a child point but I can relate to the firsts. I lost my Sister a year ago, just went through a divorce and I’m living a life as a weekend dad. Every time you post a video I watch and it helps me know there is a way to be strong. Thank you.

I have also been going through a lot lately, and watching this made me cry because I feel the same way about God getting me through the day, but then breaking down after. It hurts and it sucks but it keeps happening.
