I love to see when DEAN leaves Ken at the piano and has a surprise when he opens the door but most of all when he approaches the couch in such a casual way and throws himself at it and settles so easy and natural to sing his next number. How casual can a man get and entertain so easily. No one but DEAN can do this. GREAT..........
Walter Batch And just think, when I was a teenager I didn't like him at all. I found him unattractive. Now I adore him. Isn't it amazing how much our taste changes?
I think what made Dean an amazing man was that he could sing beautifully and passionately as well as the fact that he was an excellent comedian and improviser. He was also a really kind and thoughtful man from what his family and friends have said. One of a kind who is terribly missed
Dean and Phil Harris.......wonderful.... It doesn't get much better than this.......... Watching these two in this routine reveals something new each and every time ....... Then, of course, watching this just to hear Les Brown's arrangement for the band is something to savour again and again. Florence Henderson is fantastic and having so much fun........ How fortunate we are to have lived in the time and place of these artists and performers........and how grateful we should be to those wise enough to capture and preserve these things for posterity. The !ist of artists and performers appearing on the 250 plus episodes of the show is all we could wish for......and in itself represents an unforgettable slice of our history. Best way to pass the time on a transatlantic flight is to watch half a dozen or so Dean Martin shows......and then you've landed safely, relaxed and in good humour....! Im 26 and never heard of dean martin or any other authentic comedians till my dad showed me when i was young haha it was so funny i wish he and the others were still around, one of the greatest things ive been introduced to im happy thank you dad R.I.P
Stepping Out With My Baby. Heaven singing. Florence Henderson. By The light of the silverymoon. Everytime it rains Pennies from Haven. Love Dean Love Him.
"Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime" is The Best Song, and, IT NEVER GETS OLD, NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU PLAY IT, OR HEAR IT, AND I JUST LOVE IT !!!!❤️❤️❤️☺️😊🤗❤️❤️❤️
Dean Martin's greatest gift was living in the moment, which only a handful of people in the world can do, hence his willingness to submit to the challenge of constant spontaneous improvisation on his shows. They were comedic soufflés, and you can't reheat a soufflé. Making it look easy, was the difficult part.
I think Dean’s greatest gift to his fans-outside of his tremendous talent-was genuinely enjoying himself on stage. He never acted bored with a skit or a song or a guest. Still miss that incredible voice!
All these years later. I love you Dean. How lucky were people that knew him . decent loveing and just wonderful' hansome. just heard it he was a personality as well. Very rare.
Oh boy I love seeing Dean slide down that Firepole. It's hilarious, and it's totally original, because nobody else has ever done it on a show before. I've Always Love Dean too, and everything he's done still lives on, thank God.
That clip of Dino & his son made me really sad....his son died in a f4 phantom aircraft crash....his son was a member of the California national guard...it totally destroyed Dino...poor guy.....RIP to both of them!
Dean Martin singing a duet with his son Dino made me sad. Dino died young in a plane accident. It must have been too heavy for Dean to handle that sorrow and pain. Well, they loved each other, no matter how short it lasted. i think, the length of a love between two is irrelevant to the existence of the love itself.
Cyrus Dee Everyone who knew Dean Martin swore that the day his son was killed in that plane crash is the same day Dean died. Even his ex wife admitted that he was never the same after that. And Jerry Lewis is quoted as saying that he died 8 years before his body passed. Dino Jr was killed in '87 & Dean passed in '95.
@@C21L01 I've heard that as well, at the time of Dean JR's death I was in the Marine Corps and recall one Master Sgt. telling us that Dean Martin's son had passed, committed suicide, we were stunned. However it wasn't until my own 20 year old daughter passed many years later that I truly understood just how devastating it was to lose a child, we buried her on her 21st birthday in 2016. Here it is some 5 years later and my heart still aches horribly for my beautiful child.
I do feel sorry for Dean and Jeanne, losing their son, Dino. There's nothing anyone could say that could comfort them. Just pray that their hearts would heal in time.
