RIP Dean Martin (June 7, 1917 - December 25, 1995), aged 78 And RIP Tony Bennett (August 3, 1926 - July 21, 2023), aged 96 You both will be remembered as legends.
A real treat 2 see Tony Bennett & Frank Sinatra , singing together I'm 62 and I have not seen many of these guys performing together singing new songs with these two and a couple other ones that keeps my heart together La pain right above my mind see you is all companies that I'll be holding onto for a long long time..........
I saw Tony last night July 5 2017 aged 90 in Manchester England, what a fabulous performance he brought the house down, unfortunately I don''t think we'll see him again this side of the pond again.
Love Dean and Tony sing Fly Away. My Kind Of Town and Houston Dean singing this. I Left My Heart In San Francisco. We'll Take Manhattan. I Love Paris and Foggy Day. New Orleans and Come Fly With Me. 3-5-2021
Tony was a pure gold singer. He’s still around thank God. Dean was of course another highly talented crooner. I wouldn’t compare the two of them as both men were exceptionally talented vocalists.
Dean was SOOOOOOO freakin' AWESOME! Handsome, funny, and amazing vocalist! Everything he did looked effortless. What a class act. Of course, I love Tony, too! No one does it like the wonderful Italians! I can hardly believe Tony is 90 and still touring. What stamina. He's the last of a golden age of entertainment.
Dean Martin & Tony Bennett, two great crooners who would top the bill in any show. Tony had such a powerful voice and was also a great cabaret performer. Dean of course was more than just a singer, but a wonderful all round entertainer. Both were super stars.
Love to hear Dean and Tony sing Let's Fly Away and My Kind Of Town and Houston and San Francisco We'll Take Manhattan and I Love Paris and Foggy Day and New Orleans Come Fly With Me.
Had the Pleasure at around age 14 of working as a Bus boy in a Theater/Restaurant on Broadway in San Francisco. Tony was playing at the Club ( Mr. D's) Three Shows a Night, Dinner, Cocktail, and Breakfast out of there at around 3AM. What a great experience
Eran fantásticos Toni Benet una vida dedicada a la musica su pasión ,ha cantado incluso con Alzheimer Hasta siempre Tony Sus duetos eran maravillosos Ahora los podremos ver por Internet siempre
Elvis thought Dino was the King of Cool. Francis Albert said, more than once, that Tony was was the Best Singer Alive. And here they are together, confirming that "relax" is a verb: "The two of us are now going to relax a few songs for you, and we hope you enjoy them." (Addendum, 4 years later) Look at how much they're enjoying using a Sinatra signature-tune as the framing device for this medley (especially at the end)... They know he's going to hear about it, and then THEY'RE going to hear about it.
Ruben vA You must be a youngster if you don’t know that ‘Francis Albert’ was just ONE of Frank’s alter egos.... He was also variously known as The Chairman of the Board, Old Blue Eyes, The Voice, The Sultan of Swoon or, as he and Dean used to refer to each other, ‘Dago’ (though as Dean once said; “if anyone else calls us that, there’ll be a fight!)
Gold! don't see this kind of musical repartee these days. Rat Pack members were the ultimate exponents of this style of entertainment - and Dino's drunken acts and self-deprecating humour were his trademark - never to be replicated. That's apart from their fantastic vocals! Oh, if only we could bring back that golden era of musical entertaimment. Alas.....the legends have all gone! Thank you so much to the person who posted this video for the enjoyment of all.
Can't help it...
