You can see Dean truly care for sherily cause this was her special, Dean didn't appear on to many specials unless it had Frank or Sammy. You can see there love for each other
She often said that By Far Dean was her favorite! Remember she was in the Rat Pack films. She often was the only "girl" other than the "Babes" that was allowed to hang out with the "Boys".
She was also in one of Dean's and Jerry film ....2nd one to the last and she said it was a rough set to be on cause Dean and Jerry was already having problem. But she fell in love with Dean during that making of that movie.

You're right - it was better, and more interesting. Watching things like the clothes, sets etc., and it wasn't so "formula" as it is now, not so predictable.
