Dean Wareham plays Galaxie 500
2012-05-11
Hemlock Tavern
San Francisco CA
Complete single-camera audience footage.
This is composited from the following sources:
(1) Video recording courtesy of shaynestacy, done with Canon Vixia HF200 HD Camera + Stock mic MXP Mode (High Quality 24mbps), originally posted to to a popular Bittorent sharing site on 2012-09-01.
I used Handbrake to transcode the MTS files into MP4 format.
(2) Audio is a dual-source blend from the "stock" audio in (1) and the following source: AK40 caps on a Neumann KM100 - Edirol R-44 (Oade CM), recorded by dmonkey and made available on a popular Bittorrent sharing site on 2012-09-23. I also recorded this show with the built-ins on my Olympus LS-5, but dmonkey's source is far superior to mine, so I demurred from trying to also add mine into the mix.

• Dean Wareham - Strange...
An intimate show in front of perhaps a hundred lucky folks. This is perhaps the best camera POV I've ever seen anyone be able to capture in a live setting, including my own efforts. The original poster noted that the vocals were low because of where they were positioned, so once I was made aware of an alternate audio source, I decided it would be worthwhile to try to improve the audio on here.
