He showed he was a Top 6 center in the league when he got the touches and was involved, but it doesn't help when the team continues to put less and less defense around you and more ball dominant players

I don't think he's a cancer type.A lot of the Suns media/behind the scenes people speak highly of Ayton as a person.His problem was laziness, inconsistency, lack of development/effort on the court.He'd check out & completely disappear all the time.I think his teammates & coach Monty just finally got frustrated.I've heard players refer to Ayton as a "Big child".Not in a cancerous way, but far as focus/discipline.He comes off as always distracted/aloof a lot of the time.Having watched him in Phoenix most of his career, I honestly don't think he's all that passionate about basketball.It's just a job to him.He was blessed to be 7 ft & coordinated enough to make some NBA 💰 and he's just taking advantage of it.He hasn't really added anything to his game since being drafted.I was always waiting for him to add a face up dribble to his game, but it never happened.Always settled for the jump shot every time.I don't think he realizes his on physical potential.He plays like a timid 5'11 guy stuck in a 7 ft body.Or if you gave the keys to a '53 big rig diesel to a 5 yr old girl.He's afraid of his own power.I say that as a guy whose watched him since college.
