@@zedoggie3006 well tj yates is throwing him the ball and before watson, dhop had no real qb otherwise this game and every other game would be a different discussion. he beat him plenty this game but you can’t always have brady or manning or rogers under center
DHop won this but Revis wasn’t the same player at this point. Revis lost a step by this time but still credit to Hopkins because Revis was still considered an elite cornerback at this point, but he was no longer top 2 or 3
Facts, he gained too much weight & got sloppy. I think his hairline receding started to affect his confidence too. He shouldve WaveCapMaxxed & called it a day lol
@@mikeyomommatrollb2124 yeah this what I'm talking bout. They trying find excuse for em. DHop just got the best of em. It happen to the best of them sometime
After 2014 revis let himself go no more speed weight just money was motivating him, the ring in 2014 was his last year in his prime he was the best, revis still had good coverage but clearly not prime
Yeah at this point Revis was still a damn good technician, good if he got hands on you but he couldn’t run the same as he used to. Hopkins is a 4.5 guy and Revis couldn’t really run with him at this point in year 9. Means Revis might’ve been running 4.6 which is tough when your forte is man to man
Not for Revis tho this is two years before he retired. He was still a top 10 Corner in the league but this wasn’t his prime. Norman, Pat Pete, Sherm, Talib and Harris were better at this point
@@user-fi2hx9nw7q nah bruh it’s as dumb as saying DHop is in his prime right now. We know DHop is still a good player and arguably a top 10 WR but he’s not a top 3 guy anymore like he used to be. Same could be said of Revis at the time
@@tyblack7441 Excuses Yall didn't make excuses when Terrell Owens 36 years old when Darrelle Revis faced him So dont make excuses for a 30 year old Darrelle Revis getting torched by DeAndre Hopkins 5 catches 118 yards and 1 touchdown a 61 yarder Charles Woodson 9 ints and 3 touchdowns won defensive player of year age 33 in 2009 What's Darrelle Revis excuse age 30 being horrible?
@@rig2037 I don’t care what some casuals told you lol. OBJ is no HOF 🤣😂. Tyreek Hill is literally still playing but he does have more all pro, pro bowl and a ring over Hopkins. Hill being 29 and coming off a season with 1710 yards doesn’t look to be slowing down. So I definitely see him going into HOF on the first 2 ballots. Hopkins wasn’t better over players like Steve Smith Sr and Chad Johnson and both of them have been snubbed by HOF. Hopkins is also a failed steroid user. Sorry he won’t get in I’d bet on it.
It’s not excuses it’s just facts. He was still a damn good player and borderline elite guy and a top 10 CB still but he wasn’t top 3 and probably not top 5 at this point. DHop outrunning him is wild cuz DHop never had real speed. He came in running 4.57 and I remember Revis being able to run with way faster guys like Calvin Johnson and Andre Johnson. Revis might’ve been running that 4.6 around this time 😂 but his technique was still sound
@@pbskids4000played against him in HS, his speed was so deceptive. He never looked like he was running fast until you were on the field with him. A true great, while he was in his prime, he rewrote what it meant to be a DB. He maximized his time, that’s for damn sure!
Revis made the top 100 list for his 2014 season with the Patriots landing at number 17 . For his 2015 season he made the top 100 list again landing at 24 . Here's the proof ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GnFza-Qwdz8.html Despite what you'd like the narrative to be , Revis was still a top 5 defensive back that year .
@@theanthill5874I disagree a bit. To me Revis got more respect for being a great player and that’s why they rated him higher. Notice the next year he wasn’t even on the list 😂 but at this point Josh Norman, Pat Peterson, Sherman, Talib & Harris in Denver were all better
