Lattimore's recovery, explosion out of changes in direction and closing speed are insane. Even on plays where he gets beat underneath, he's right there to prevent any YAC opportunities. This was a fun battle to watch.
His coverages were horrible tho like they fed on him when he wasn’t pressing and when a corner can’t press that means he can’t cover lol Hopkins was beating him easily
@@THEGOAT-uv3ry His coverage wasn't horrible. He got beat a fair amount but there's no shame losing separation to one of best WRs in football. As for press coverage, there have been plenty of CBs throughout league history that either weren't great playing press or weren't even asked to do it but could still get the job done.
Ginga I’m not saying he sucks because he can’t guard dhop I’m just saying some balls weren’t that catchable and I don’t even wanna mention those balls that he dropped but I’m just saying u were praising somebody getting beat over and over again
This guy is so damn quick on the field. His coverage is always very tight. He is by far a top 3 CB in the league. The Saints got a great one in him. I'm not a Saints fan but they need to lock him down for a long time. They would be stupid if when the time came, they let him walk to another team. The dude isnt even in his prime yet and he is savage. Dude is only gonna get better in my opinion.
I was excited to see Lattimore show out and he did. The pass rush for New Orleans was on fire last night and Deshaun did everything he could to make plays. I’m really excited for this year’s crop of matchups. Deshaun was throwing lasers that night and I’m praying this offensive line can gel by week 5 or sooner because they’re not going to have much production without them getting together sooner for some good football.
trashawn hughes bruh, those we’re zone plays that Marcus Williams and PJ Williams routinely blew. That long bomb “on” Lattimore was Williams responsibility as he had the deep half in the cover two under man. Watch the all-22 and you’ll see it plain as day. Those underneath throws I’ll give you. I’ll even give you that Eli Apple and PJ Williams we’re victims last night lol. But Lattimore did his job. This is coming from a Giants fan about to be in college playing DB. Watch the all-22.
Lattimore did his job. 1v1 Hopkins 5 catches for 55 yards and a TD. But had 3 forced incompletions and an interception (that was called back). Honestly it’s pretty even. I think without the TD from the goal line makes it heavily in favor of Lattimore, but still tough to call. I’d say 55% Lattimore, 45% Hopkins as far as who won.
I was a Saints fan, i’m from the south, and look what they did again, passed on all them players from lsu, ill come back to this post next season, but mark my words Tampa Bay is going to be the Saints worst nightmare next year.
Man lattimore did a job on Hopkins honestly forced 2 drops and 2 PD Hopkins finish with 7 for 76 most of it on his last catch But lattimore won dis one
ill start with im biased.. im a saints fan. fell in love with lattimore as soon as we put our hands on him. But DUDE... the amount of fucking WR's that start putting their hands on this man while a play isn't going to them is insane.. Lattimore see's where the ball is gonna go and just stops playing (clearly not a good idea or i wouldn't be complaining) BUT the WR's literally get 10x more physical in plays that aren't for them, against him... if that makes sense? They get 10x more handsy and try to start a fight.. Trying to get the retaliation call and i HATE it LOL. I've seen mike evans.. D.K. Metcalff.. D. Hopp... Its crazy lol. Mf's twice his size doing it. Mike evans is the worst outta anyone. Love the rivalry but the amount of cheap shots on Lattimore is ridiculous. Like i said, i know D Hopp is going for the late call of retaliation. Which i respect. But i love seeing Lattimore do this to people. Will always be one of my favorite saints to watch. Who Dat
