Happy 4th of July, A short chat about my experiences as an Englishman living in America. Instagram- Echomike_training Enjoy, Thank you for watching Cheers
I really want to move to america!! Im 18 and i have a big interest in law and politics, and america is special to me because their ideology for the American attitude, singing their anthem, KNOWING their constitution- these are all things i wish we had in the UK as i truly believe it encourages greater community value thus perhaps meritocratic ones!!! Thanks for this positive, inspiring and constructive video
Hey Mike. I’m an American, born and raised and I’ve seen horrors in the U.S. that you’d think could only be found in 3rd world despots. I’ve found that those who fervently support the U.S. are dotting sheep who are clueless to the darkness that resides in the U.S. to begin with. You’re probably a nice person and all, but you’re absolutely clueless to what the U.S. is. Ignorance is bliss, no?
@@discobutterflydisappointingly, nobody seems to know the constitution, and those who “know it” will almost always twist it in the ways that fit their views. I think if you ever get here, you will be disappointed in that way, but if you can come over and help this country in a positive way politically. Please come as soon as you can, we need good politicians and lawyers.
dude.... wow lol he's an influencer being paid to spit out this bs. wow lol every time when our government is under scrutiny every time when freedoms are on the decline , these plants show up. people from other countries are correct when saying Americans are universally stupid .
@@lowlygrinder2977There is big difference in taking a crap on your birth nation and telling it like is from where you came. I don't disagree with anything he said about the UK and I take no joy in saying it, because the good people there deserve to be a truly free people as well.
Dear England, from America. "Our laws, language, religion, politics, & manners are so deeply laid in English foundations, that we shall never cease to consider their history as a part of ours, and to study ours in that as it’s origin." - Thomas Jefferson, 1810
As an American with ancestral ties to the English colonies, I appreciate this quote so much because SO MANY uneducated people living in this country, enjoying its many benefits, have ZERO GRATITUDE to the great English peoples who FOUNDED THIS NATION. A true, old fashioned Englishman and a true old fashioned American are barely distinguishable in their appearance and culture, in so many ways.
Im a Romanian immigrant who came here as a religious refugee, joined the Marines, then went to UC Berkeley and now watching my entire family doing so well because we came here and embraced this country and became as American as it gets.
That's what it tskes, embracing the culture and contributing rather than tearing down or taking advantage of. When p Dr pole go through the legal process, they are invested bin the country. There is a big difference with illegals. Congratulations Gor preparing a better future for you and your family. 🤗🤗
A guy comes to the USA from England and holds his 1st and second amendment rights as sacred and understands that this country is unique and special and could be irretrievably lost forever in a single election thinks for himself and we need more like him.
@@jeffmancuso2715 *most colleges Fixed it for you. My dinky little town college had professors caught YEARS ago promoting anti-American practices, such as judging based upon race, selective enforcement of who can use the First Amendment, not to mention the overall hatred to the 2A that most professors seem to have. They don't hate guns mind you, they hate that the average person can own them. They're fine having a selective branch of some organization that wields guns so long as they're the ones telling that organization how to use them. And personally I was amazed at the animosity with which one of my professors at the time there regarded me with due to not fitting into her political beliefs. I didn't stay long, decided to go into trades rather than waste money on those who would poison our country with their acidic ideology under the guise of "academic virtue."
@@trashjash I feel as if you aren't telling the whole story. Jsyk, I am on the political left, and I do see the validity of the second amendment. However, I feel like it's used as a political tool. The GOP likes to run on crime, and expanding easy-access to firearms worsens crime. It is an issue they feed, which in return feeds their campaigning. Same applies to the border issues. The second amendment also has issues with interpretation. It is rather vaguely written. Secondly, the first amendment is easily exploitable through social engineering, especially in the age of social media. Free speech is valuable, but I also think it can be manipulated to effectively deny it. For example: Lets say I set up a bot farm that bombards the internet with leftist propaganda, drowning out all conservative voices, would I not be violating the free speech of others? Would I not be interfering with the marketplace of ideas, by making an ideology seem more popular than it is? Or: If, hypothetically, an authoritarian can rise to power through the use of charisma and rage, who proceeds to nullify the constitution, would that mean that the constitution-- and by extension the first amendment, failed to do fulfill their intended purpose of protecting liberty?
@@isnel1021 Whether from intention or ignorance, you only gave half of the second amendment. The full text is: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. If you were being honest, you would see that what could be called the vague part, is what constitutes well regulated militia, And exactly how that should interact with the right to keep and bear arms. By what you said, anybody who wants any weapon should just be able to roll up and get a gun anytime they want; whether they’re trained, have good intentions or bad, are insane, want to rob someone to get money for dope, or they’re drunk and enraged, or any of 100 other reasons I’m sure you wouldn’t approve of. There’s a lot of text in the constitution and the amendments; it doesn’t always succeed at being simply and clearly understood or followed, and it doesn’t always support just one viewpoint.
As a born and raised American, I am beyond honored to have a man like you in our country. We need more folks who understand what America stands for, not what it does.
My husband came here from Germany 40 years ago. He loves this country and even won an award in our small town, for being the most patriotic citizen! He grew up in Berlin and his family got separated by the wall in the 1960's. He understands the meaning of freedom...unlike our own citizens.
Yes, he would know. I love this country, and what our founding fathers fought, and died for. Some died, many were left in poverty, and others suffered for their beliefs they fought for. Thank you for your words and honoring our country. God bless you!
I have talked to people from other countries who have become citizens, they know our Constitution better than most American citizens & appreciate our country in a way unknown to most citizens born here. God bless America, 🙏🇺🇸⚖️🇮🇱⚖️🇨🇦🙏 Trump' 🕊️🇺🇸
Mad respect..and happy for you..welcome..and ignore the arrogant belligerent combative women that pick fights and manipulate men to attack unsuspecting men....stay encouraged
Let's not lie to everyone. A significant number of us live paycheck to paycheck, A significant number of us, do not leave the class we are born into. Most of us, will never travel to other countries. Half of us go around talking about America being a shit hole, right now. Let's not lie to foreigners and convince them our streets are made of cheese (that's An American Tale reference). There is no doubt the US is a great privilege to be born into, but let's not be over the top.

No the hate is not for America… the hate is for Americans who hate other Americans because they are different. What happened to live and let live. Getting involved in other people’s lives is what is getting old. Very old.

Welcome, Amigo! From one immigrant to another. I can never thank the USA enough for all her kindness. Had it not been for America I would never have witnessed the examples of sacrifice & hard work, my parents taught me on living the American dream & reaching your greatest potential. Never give up! My wife came to America from Thailand when she was 17, and she is the most patriotic person I know. She has absolutely no tolerance for anyone who disparages America!
😂😂😂😂 that’s a huge pile of rubbish! She’s Thai and for her to be patriotic of murica is laughable! She should be patriotic of her own country! If her loyalty to Thailand is non existent then what kind of loyalty can she have for the most evil country in the world? Major turn off!
@@Muhle2America promises equal opportunity, not equal outcome. People’s outcomes are going to reflect their strengths and abilities. If you are poor and in and out of prison, it’s not because American society has failed you, it’s because you have failed to be a good citizen.
Everyone forgets about the so-called "educated ignoramus." Privileged progressives also misunderstand less privileged people. Idealistic theories cause so much harm. Even money gets in the way of good politics. It's hopeless.
I’m American that has been to other countries. Canada, Mexico, Panama, Samoa and most of south America. I’ve been on this earth for 42 years. I can honestly say that in my 42 years I’ve watched this country lose its damn mind. Our constitution says “For the people, by the people”. But I think we’ve gone so far from that that it will take a miracle to get back to it. Given what happened over the weekend with the attempted assassination of Donald Trump and people being upset that he survived I’d say we have a LOT of work ahead of us.
I am blessed to be born an American, a descendant of Scot- Irish immigrants that arrived on these shores in the 1750s. I hold my country dear now, but as a young rebellious man, I was drawn away by radical thinking friends back in the 1960s. As I grew older and realized what a privilege it is to live in a nation that affords more God given freedoms that any other nation that has ever existed, and as this young man has stated, more opportunity it is given freely for the taking. God bless America.
As an Asian American foreign born but raised in the states, I love America because the freedom we have, the nonjudgmental culture we embraced, and most Americans are angles by heart. May God bless America!
British here and from a military family. I love my American cousins and I think most decent Brits do. We love the banter about our similar but different cultures but it’s a real compliment when Brits take the p1ss out of someone, so never take that seriously. I’ve seen a lot of the world and the only place that feels like a second home when I’m away is the states. Glad we are close friends in a crazy time for the world. Stay true to who you are and be proud 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 ❤️.

Yeah... at least the LEGAL Immigrants who aren't sneaking over the non-existent Border with a backpack full. of fentanyl and intentions to hurt America.... You can tell this is a good man.. But don't believe the Masses flooding in illegally are good people...
As a full blown American, I have been say this for over a decade to people. There are more Americans born across the world than in America itself. You are whole heartedly welcomed as an American. Ignore the low acuity individuals.
An an American, my love for the UK and Europe at large run deep. You birthed our country, through your faith, way of life, and philosophy. Looking out for you forever ❤👊
Wish we could do one for one swaps for people like him from Europe with the deranged weirdos we have here that want things to be like Europe. I want America to be what it is on paper. We’re so very very far from that, and getting further every day.
Young man I agree with every single word you said. I emigrated from the UK in 91-92. I became a US citizen in 2007. I could not be prouder to call myself an American. There is no way that I could have achieved what I have if I had stayed in the UK. This country along with some hard work has given me everything. God bless you and God bless America.
I have a similar success story about moving abroad as well. I'm an American who moved abroad and accomplished great things. I dont think its the US thats magic, I think its moving abroad to any country and working hard because you have to and other nations offer different opportunities than our home country had. I'm glad the US worked out for you. It unfortunately didn't for me. I was born into a poor family of 8 and we grew up on ketchup sandwiches and EBT groceries. All my friends back in the US are working twice as hard for half as much. Where I live I am working half as hard for twice as much. Different strokes for different folks.
Right on. Thank you for spittin’ truth. I was one of those “grass is greener elsewhere” Americans and now I’m stuck somewhere that I can’t financially get out from because the opportunities to make the money needed to leave just simply don’t exist. But I have the will and so I WILL get back home with my family and NEVER take it for granted again. USA! USA! USA! Thank you for this video brotha.
I was born in the USA but spent four years living in another country during my late childhood years. I have never felt more free than in my beloved USA. Please, let us protect this beautiful country of ours.
My British mother will turn 100 in a few weeks. She married my American father right after WWII, came to America, and told me my entire life that America is the best country in the world.
Thank you for your patronage to our country, as an American who lived overseas for the better part of my life due to my Fathers work, I am dismayed by my fellow Americans who do not love our country as much as I do. I kissed the ground when we finally came back home after living in 3 rd world countries and South America with severe class systems. People just do not understand. Thank you 100 times for sending this message.
Very well said my dude. I too was born in CA but was taken to the U.K after my parents split. I grew up in around north London from the age of 3 to 32. I've been back and all over the U.S (made easier because my mum kept my U.S citizenship up). The part where you said that you appear to be a lot American than a lot of lifetime Americans, or words to that effect, is exactly verbatim of what I've said in the past 20 years or so that I've travelled around this great country. Your insights are great. Keep up the great vids :)
I don't think he's confused by that. Culturally he will always be British because being British is more than an 'accent' as Americans love to harp on about, it's a way of being, it's mannerisms, it's etiquette and so many more nuanced things. If I drive a Rolls Royce in the US it doesn't suddenly become an American car, it's still British.
As an American myself I really need to hear this. We need more Americans like you that's for sure. We are certainly lucky to have you as an American my friend. My fiance is from another country and he always says he has two homes and he's proud to be an American. I jokingly make fun of him but I do think it's very noble to feel that way when a lot of us Americans are worn down lately. Thank you ❤
As an American of English decent I say welcome to the fray. To the naysayers both here and in the old country I leave you with this. If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” ― Samuel Adams
I'm a first generation American and I love, love, love, this country! I'm teaching my children to feel proud and grateful for being born here. My family thanks and honors our military and our service workers like police officers and firefighters when we cross paths. God bless America, in Jesus' mighty name.
Wow! From an American Hispanic, I thank you for this video. I’m saddened how some Americans hate and do not appreciate our country as they practice all the American liberties that other countries would not permit. Thank you, thank you, thank you.. the U.S. welcomes you with open arms and may you fulfill your dreams here and may God watch over you and bless you always! 🇺🇸💜
One of the finest messages I’ve ever heard. Thank you very much! From a direct descendant of a founding father, Stephen Hopkins, Mayflower Compact signer.
As an American, who went to school in England at the NATO base at Lakenheath, I agree with you. There’s no place like America. Good and bad. Welcome. Hope you like it here and you do well.
From this native born American these comments help my broken heart. I’ve been watching my country die little by little and feeling like bo one else is patriotic any longer. Then I find posts such as these here and yall prove me wrong. Thanks for uplifting my heart and soul and keeping my faith in the people in the country which I love dearly and would die for her. Ur comments have been a healing balm to my spirit! First and second bill of rights are paramount bc the rest doesn’t matter when u lose those!
Welcome to this country. Were blessed to have you. As a US born American, I will readily admit we are spoiled. We have trouble seeing the trees for the forest. Its like you really dont know your computer is slow until you use a fast one. Traveling Central America and the Caribbean for the last 20 years, I've come to realize just how good we have it and how much we take for granted. Not meaning to nor even realizing it. Having a father who fought in Vietnam Nam, being proud of this country went without saying.....I thought. As i have aged, I've come to understand that It needs, now more than ever, not to just be said, but sceamed from the mountain tops. If the situation were to happen, I would die protecting the founding beliefs of this nation. And that sentiment grew with age. My prayer is the same happens to the other up and coming generations. God bless these United States of America 🇺🇸.
As a natural born American I am so pleased every time I see a nationalized citizen that understands what it means to be American. America belongs to The People. Thank you for your video. I got your back.
I live in Chicago...nearly in the suburbs. My father was from Italy and my mother was from England. They immigrated legally to America and i am first generation born here...i am 64 y.o. now. I agree...I want our country back the way it used to be! 😢
Thank you defending the right to bear arms . So many people these days attack the 2nd amendment. America is one of the few countries in the world that has that . You love America more than some people who were born here . I wish you all the best .
The constitution has been amended many times. It's time to bring in common sense gun laws. The founding fathers did not envision weapons of mass destruction. It's gone too far.
Welcome!! Happy to have you here, My best friend born and raised here in America has been trying to move to the UK for years and she's almost there. So thank you for this video, and I will be sharing it with her asap! She seems to believe it's better in the UK than here. 🇺🇸
Wow, I loved your remarks! So glad you have joined this great nation! You're right about how we Americans take so much for granted. We are in a bubble, ignorant of what millions of other people struggle with daily across the world. Even I, as a conservative Christian, am guilty of that. But I love this country and will defend her founding principles. I'm really happy to see other young people like you speaking up and speaking wisely on the issues of today. God bless!
Wow, Echo Mike, you just blew me out of the water. I began watching your video expecting something entirely different and much to my surprise. Thank you so much for this, my neighbor is from Great Britain and I have often asked her what others think of the United States and her citizens - obviously, not every country is perfect, but I so fear that the amazing aspects of the United States are being lost on the very people who were born and raised here in the States. Thank you once again for your viewpoints and God bless.
Great speech. I'm first generation Mexican in the states, Came the right way, Worked like crazy so I could pay for school out of pocket, no gov aid, no welfare. Now im an engineer making a great income. I love this country and it breaks my heart to see the willingness of the people allowing this great country to decay and die.
I love you man, one of bosses is from Columbia, and he did everything the right way. He’s working hard and paying his taxes and he is making damn good money doing so. But what broke my heart is when I was speaking with him, he told me some people think because he is Hispanic they associate him with the people that come here the wrong way and try to get benefits. Javier is not only my favorite co worker, but he is one of my best friends. Love you man, keep working hard for you and your family ❤
I am a Brit married to an American, living in America and I can honestly say that the American constitution is the absolute best in the world. Nope, based on voting people in the US are MORE than happy to give up their rights and freedom based on what they saw on the propaganda machine. There isn't much more to be taken for granted anymore, its mostly gone.
@@miav7160 Most immigrants do this and is the reason they are not welcome. Its not your race or religion, its the fact you don't want to be a part of us. The number one way you separate yourselves from us is voting for the left. This is not who we are at all with the exception of a few even though it may look otherwise. All you people come here and vote for socialism, again, this is why your not welcome.
I do not take our freedoms for granted - the two most important to me is to worship as I wish and to homeschool my children (29 years!). I also love that we can work where we want doing what we want. I have 24 grandchildren. So far, one is going to a private Christian school, two are going to public school, one to a preschool, thirteen are being homeschooled, and the rest are too young to be educated. All seven grown children are living out their faith, and the six with children are in church and raising their children in the faith. God bless America!
Thank you so much for your message! It is what America needs to hear from a naturalized citizen. I am an immigrant from Germany, having come here as a child with my family. We all became American citizens, and I can honestly say my father was the most patriotic person I've ever know. I, too, identify as an American. Still, I'm proud of my German heritage and the rich history of my family prior to coming to America. Yes, the American dream is accessible to all. After being here for only three years my mother, who didn't speak English upon arriving, completed an accounting course and found gainful employment. My father had a job waiting for him upon our immigration, which was the rule back then. My family worked hard and lived the American dream. They assimilated and were able and proud to give back to the country that took them in and offered them a new home. I wish you much success in your life.
Thank you for your message! We Americans do take our lives and liberties for granted and need to be more appreciative and in unison with each other! Welcome my brother, GOD BLESS AMERICA ❤🤍💙

You, my young man, are exactly the same as the other British men who stood on these shores. Spoke of these same issues. And founded a nation the world had never seen. Thank you for joining us in the fight to save this great place.
Your sentence "And founded a nation the world had never seen" is a truth that is unknown or overlooked by many Americans. We hear a lot about "American exceptionalism" today, especially from various politicians and pundits. Unfortunately some fail to understand what that term really means. It does not mean that America is better at what it does or in what it has than other countries. It means that America is unique because its government was founded upon principals of freedom and self-governance, an idea that had never prevailed anywhere else in the world at that time. The root word "exceptional" has two distinct meanings: "better than" or "unique". It is that second meaning that is at the heart of American exceptionalism, not the first. It refers to our form of government, not to our inherent worth. Thank you for raising that point.
I am a born and raised Texan, and an American. I am a patriotic American. I love my country. And I am so touched by your words!! You are an asset and I appreciate what you’re saying so much!! Thank you!! Keep fighting for our beautiful USA. ⭐️❤🤍💙⭐️🇺🇸

I’m a patriotic conservative American and I approve this message. As a Brit who has emigrated to America, you now understand what “American Exceptionalism” really means. It doesn’t mean that Americans are any better than anyone else. We’re not. It means that our form of government, established by our Founding Fathers, gives us freedoms and opportunities that are extremely rare in the world. When America was founded, most of the world lived under tyranny. The Founders were true rebels, and we owe everything to them. Even now, when there are factions that are trying to destroy America from within, we fight, we endure, we work hard, we stand up for what we believe. God bless you, Mike, for embracing our great country, and God bless America!
Mike, You sound just like my dad who came from England to the US on Thanksgiving Day through New York where he started his internship to become a MD. He applied for and got his US Citizenship. He loved this country and stood by it as a M.D. officer in the US Navy. Welcome to America. We would love more like you.
