Gender fluid person here. I didn't know what the hell was going on as I was growing up. I thought I was just a freak. I got beat by my stepdad after being caught dressed in my mother's clothes at 9 then again at 11 and that time got the belt. I used to look in the mirror and feel disgusted by my masculine features and as puberty started gender dysphoria got really bad at times... but then would totally disappear and flip the other way where I hated myself for feminizing certain aspects like removing body hair... Education on this would have helped me so much. I wasn't equipped to deal with any of this emotionally at all or even understand what the hell was happening!! Took years and years and years of self discovery, trial and error and bucket loads of emotional energy to get to a place where I felt comfortable and understood. Know what it took? Learning that being gender fluid was a thing. The definition of gender fluid was a literal description of my lived experience. I found places to speak to others who have had the exact same experiences and I learned that I am not a freak. These people are making it so dangerous for children with their rhetoric and they don't even realise it.
I am also genderfluid and learning that world early on (when I was about 14-15) made such a big difference in my life. I would have ever made it to where I am today (2 days post top surgery!) Without the education I had access to online.

Same, my only exposure as a child to trans people at all was seeing trans women get arrested for prostitution on Cops. I lived in bumfuck Missouri with an abusive dad who left when I was 12. I always knew I was just more feminine than any other boy. I was 'misgendered' as a girl a lot but it was secretly validating. Then when I was 14 I read what being trans actually was and I just knew instantly that I had that. I have been experiencing that. I relate to that, that describes my experience perfectly. I knew I was trans, but I didn't transition until later because I had a lot of internalized self hate and self image issues I had to work on.
"You shouldn't be talking to kids about gender identity unless you're their parents because that's creepy." By that logic, talking to kids about gender identity is absolutely grooming in all circumstances, but if you're their parent then grooming your kid is okay? The logic doesn't even stand up to it's own scrutiny.
Yeah, as though parents can’t abuse their children. In fact, that is them pretending that MOST child abuse doesn’t come from family members, which is of course untrue.
Strange how the same group that argues "Americans have the most freedom in the world, because we Deserve it" don't want us to be able to say gay, do what we want with our bodies, etc.

As someone who is asexual, hearing that term when I was a kid would have helped me to feel not broken. I didn't know I was until I was a teenager and learned about it in high school. These things are taught not to sexualize kids, but to make them have a place to belong. Its so confusing to not fit in with the "norm" and feel broken. Teaching kids that you can be different and that families are made up differently for everyone should be a must. I should not have had to wait till high school to learn about the LGBTQIA+ community, especially given that was like 6 years ago for me.
@Микс Тейпъра What's wrong with being asexual? The Bible that clownservatives pretend to read and care about says being a lifetime virgin is one of the most admirable things a person can do.
@Микс Тейпъра Uhm. Hi there, love. Born in Germany, 142 IQ (why would that matter though). Some people just don't experience sexual/sensual/romantic attraction ever. That does not mean something went wrong. The idea that being fatherless specifically will make you a deviant makes zero sense. In case you have literally no clue about genetics and biology: Literally every feature a person can have is optional and can be flipped or switched off. You might think being straight is the norm, but simply because of mutations within the framework of evolution, sometimes people will develop the "sex brain parts" of the opposite sex or won't develop them at all, or a plethora of other options. Every human born carries mutations within them, that stray from the overall norm, because otherwise we literally wouldn't have been able to evolve.
@Микс Тейпъра I would like to say that I still have my father in my life, I always have, and he's pretty great at being one. I'm not going to explain asexuality to you since clearly you don't get it but I'm valid, I know I am, and all people in the LGBTQIA+ community are and deserve to know it from childhood. Maybe if your so insecure you should look at your own life and try to figure out where that stems from bc I feel pretty secure in who I am

This is just a rehash of the old bigotry of “LGBT people are predators” which is alarming. One because LGBT people face violence from it. two, last time this was rhetoric in the mainstream, it was used as a smoke screen while very real crimes were happening to kids. Good example: the most recent bill, attempting to redefine marriage. Would have also legalized child marriage.

As someone who’s actually been groomed, it’s so upsetting that the term is being abused to attack the LGBT community, which most of my friends are. For a bit of hope though, I heard about a concept the other day called ‘extinction burst’, and in a political context it can mean that when the new ways are becoming more established, the old ways will make one last attempt to claw their way back, using the same, debunked arguments, no matter how absurd, out of sheer hatred, fear and desperation. I love the teachers who take the bill literally because it says you can't discuss gender... So boy, girl, husband, wife, man, woman... All illegal according to the bill. No gendered bathrooms, only gender neutral pronouns...
Wild how they can go on and on with their homophobia in the workplace, yet tell gay people to "stop shoving their sexuality down their throats," for having the *audacity* to be open about their relationships.
Some teachers in Florida have begun following this law to the letter. Even sending written notices home to parents explaining that they will not be discussing gender AT ALL. Students will be referred to as they/them and parents will be referred to as Mx.
They should quit if they can't take the responsibilities of their jobs seriously. Something further which needs to be undertaken is a uniform incident reporting resource so data can be published about faculty and staff Child Sexual Assault in USDOE-funded schools.
@@shiny_birb2678 My guess is this ... What that Memo is suggesting is an over-correction, which many think is going too far the other way, especially in referring to parents as 'Mx.' ... A better course of action is to simply agree to not talk about sex, and sexual identity; & gender and gender identity, until the child is at least 10, the same age I was, back in 1984, although my Junior School, in South-West London, England, wasn't exactly Conservative to any real degree, and certainly not by the standards of certain American schools are/can be. Besides, knowing teachers myself, there is only so many hours in a school day, and especially the childhood years of 5 - 11 can fly past. I don't think it requires such restrictive legislation, as per written into that Bill; however, given also that the rôle of Junior Schools is to prepare kids for the rigours of High School, teaching the fundamentals, especially in mathematics, and, in anglophone countries, both Language, and Literacy, along with handwriting skills, will take up most of the schools' time, both during the day, and over a year ... ... and that's not also inclusive of throwing in basic history, sciences, geography, and geology, and much else, besides. Yes, I had sex education at 10, but that was mostly focused on puberty; and how human reproduction happens. So, personally, I'm really torn: neither the Bill, nor the Memo, makes much sense to me, especially as, even back then in the 1980's, in retrospect, teachers were definitely beginning to feel like they were taking on pseudo-parental responsibilities. If a local States Bill needs to be passed, it should really read that "teachers bear a large enough responsibility in teaching children as it is, without adding to it. Parents should, if not must, understand that behaviours at home are magnified in school, especially in disruptive/borderline dangerous ones, which isn't the purview of teachers to correct. Thus, it ought to be Parents whom are responsible for their child's behaviour; and, concurrently, providing for, and investing into, that child's emotional, mental, and psychological needs." That would remove all specific, and explict, mention of education on sex, gender, gender identity, and gender expression, completely out of the Bill all together - on the understanding that just the simple facts of puberty, and sexual reproduction, is taught at 10 - _and_ deals with the fact that some parents expect teachers _to_ be parental like, under _in loco parentis_ . In fact, given what I, a Brit, understand about Florida, its hardly surprising that the State Congress would pass a Bill explicitly addressing sex, and gender, without placing a firmer emphasis on the responsibility of parents, as a means of holding _teachers_ responsible, but _not_ parents ... Perhaps it's because I come from an extremely abusive childhood which resulted in a criminal conviction, and a 9 year prision sentence for the abuse my younger, severely disabled, sister and I experienced at the hands of our father which, yes, included upto rape, with our mum almost completely emotionally indifferent, that I believe that how a parent treats their child, even in single digits of age, sets in stone what is to come. It also means, for better, or worse, that the State should underline the absolute necessity for a stable homelife for each and every child, as that is not something teachers can, nor should, fix, and should be read as a warning. If, then, a child has questions over their gender expression, and even gender identity, they should feel safe enough, in a loving environment, at home, that nothing is off the table when it comes to their parents, abet within reason, and age appropriate, but also taking into account that some children have cognitive abilities beyond their years. But, because Teachers are bound to a curriculum, teaching to each individuals growth - a greater measure than just proficiency - can be impossible. But, in those early years, if parents implicitly understood that their child's educational growth, proficiency, and attainment, is also in their hands, that relieves much of the teacher's burden, _and_ also helps prepare the child for High School ... In other words, the language used in the Bill is overreaching in some areas; but isn't overreaching enough, especially when it comes down to parental responsibilities ... [Edit: *= given that child sexual abuse, can occur with in a family, especially by that child's biological parents, inside their own home - and yes, certain mothers are capable of sexual abusing their child - aside from, memes aside, the School Nurse needs to be Licensed, and Certified, they should also be throughly trained, as part of their Certification, in Counselling, also in child abuse, in all it's ugly manifestations. Rather than the teacher alone, said nurse may also be crucial in providing to a court, credible evidence, and testimony, and may also provide the help that child needs; although the abuse in my case began at 14, there was much I wish I could've said at 10 ... having the nurse we had being someone I could've confided in, quite frankly, could've ... well ...]
@@clemtoe I may have issues with your first statement, although it may just be minor quibbles ... However, I have no issue with the latter. In fact, it should be undertaken at a Federal Level, combining both the Department of Education, and Department of Justice, especially if said persons move between States. I doubt even teachers' unions would have an issue around educational staff, whom have been especially, and specifically, convicted, of child abuse, not just suspected. I say not just suspected, as mere suspicions ≠ actual abuse being committed ... In addition, in many, if not most, cases, that also means a lifetime ban on any kind of educational, sporting, or other activities, including in a volunteering rôle, without constsnt, and direct, supervision, of those under 21 ... if they are ever released, that is ... As, further, I don't believe that US prisions are even capable of handling any, and all, inmates convicted of any sexually related, and motivated, crime, beyond harassment, and, rather, should be placed within the more controlled environs of a Secure Psychiatric Hospital. Judges, in turn, especially at the District Circuit Court level, should have their hands untied, and be given the discretionary option of an indefinite sentence, according to the extent of the crimes committed, to such a Hospital, until an expert, federally licenced and certified, board of Psychologists, Psychiatrists, and other, lay, experts in the field, makes a determination, but not before a minimum of 10 years ... ... and, yes, that does mean renovation of abandoned Psychiatric Hospitals ... ... but that could be part and parcel of a much more leaned down version of a infrastructure bill that focuses primarily just on, well, infrastructure, from filling in potholes (ideally dual layer tarmacing of the most serious affected roads), to rebuilding public housing that has been/is declared as being beneath Fit for Human Habitation ... It will mean taking a hefty hatchet to Build Back Better, but if, roads aside, sewer systems are in badly need of not just repair, but complete renovation, to handle both sewerage, but storm waters, as well ... why not ...? And, to return back, given the size of the entire US prison population, State and Federal, overcrowding should also be regarded as an infrastructure issue. However, any thing not directly related to physical infrastructure, such as roads, sewers, prisions, houses, must be examined, with due diligence, abet in a timely manner, with set deadlines, as to whether is should be an amendment to that Bill. Overdue should be measured in months, or weeks, not years. Yes, short-term inflation will rise, but as long as the economics doesn't transfer negatively onto long-term inflation ... The only grey area maybe unemployment, but if the focus is in/on transferable, vocational, skills, especially for male College, or even High School, drop outs, into the badly needed infrastructure renewal ... laid off car workers are still engineers, whom can be up-skilled ... in that, equality of opportunity should, if not must, be placed over equality of outcomes ... But I have seriously digressed ... My point is this: I may quibble with your first sentence, but the second, I do believe in, with the exceptions being that a) it has to be at a Federal Level, either under the FBI, or an equally suitable Federal Agency, with powers of arrest, with a sole Department dedicated to Serious and Violent Sexual Crimes, with a Register that keeps a discrete vigilance on Offenders. Equally, a Register also should keep track of false accusations, and treat them just as seriously, as also a Federal felony, especially if one person makes multiple, legally proven, unfounded, accusations. The Scale of Adjudication that Lady Justice holds is not only for the convicted, but innocence, as well, for she also holds the Sword of Wisdom and Truth ... Which means I agree with you, but with a sense of both urgency, but, equally, raising the bar of what acceptable Due Diligence looks like ... ... less haste, more speed ...

I love the people who are weaponizing the bill to the point where they say that they shouldn't talk about heterosexuality either Like, "Hey this bill says no sexual orientation, guess we can't use gendered pronouns and just call everyone they/them"
this is so sad bc "gay stuff" in schools in my experience has NEVER been teachers straight up teaching ab gay culture or lgbt lifestyles or anything. it's related back to LEARNING. i learned about gay marriage in 8th grade bc it was 2015 and legalizing gay marriage was a current event so in american history we took the opportunity to use that case to analyze constitutionality and we had to write essays on whether we thought it would be legalized or not and why. in high school i was in the journalism program so we frequently discusssed social issues. we also learned about the proper ethical guidelines to use when reporting on lgbt issues such as proper terms and stuff. i don't think these people realize that students ALREADY KNOW what gay people are. these kids have social media and internet access. they know this shit. when they learn how to debate in english class and get to pick their own topic like half of them pick lgbt rights BECAUSE it's such a huge issue that they already know about and they WANT to discuss these things. kids aren't stupid.
I thought we were "thinking of the children" by grooming them? What is the moral claim for LGBT propaganda in school in the first place, then? The children are incidental to the issue of what the children are exposed to in school?
@@clemtoe it’s okay to be gay =/= child indoctrination. You can’t indoctrinate kids into something that they cannot change, you’re either gay or you’re not
@@kiwi6147 Were it that a public school faculty member hung a poster which read "It's okay to be white" it would not be indoctrination? You claimed that homosexuality is immutable and unchangeable. What is your basis for this belief? What is it's cause?
I learned at a really early age that trans people, gay people, and all sorts of people exist, and not from school but from my parents. I have gay uncles and my parents are really supportive. Only thing it did was make me more comfortable to myself as a nonbianary pansexual. And my sister is straight and cis and she is amazing supportive and acknowledges that they exist. Literally only thing it does is just shows that it exist and it is okay.
As someone who recently came out at 24 years old, it breaks my heart that we are still fighting with this. As much as my childhood experience wrestling with homosexuality wasn't the level of violence that many experience, I still feel like comp het robbed me of the coming-of-age I should have had. At 24 I am starting to date women, when half of my peers are already getting engaged or married. It breaks my heart that we are still trying to condemn kids to the same type of confusion, self hatred, and violent cycles of abuse so many years later. KIDS DESERVE TO BE ACCEPTED FOR WHO THEY ARE.
One thing I don’t get about why they sexualise the existence of LGBTQ+ people is why does teaching it sexualise it. If kids don’t get taught sex Ed until teen years, then children aren’t going to question where a child comes from in same sex couples. So the idea of teaching about LGBTQ+ existence isn’t any different to teaching about race and ethnicity. The idea of sex won’t come up in the childs mind but with conservatives, the sheer existence of LGBTQ+ apparently evolves sex inherently, but not the same with heterosexual relationships. They literally are hysterical about their own grooming problems thinking sex is involved with every facet of life.
The ones saying that its sexualizing children to tell them gay people exist, are the same ones to tell parents "that ones gonna be trouble" when they have a pretty daughter
My partner and I went polyamorous and one of my family members was like "I'm not letting my kids near you." Idk why conservatives assume anything besides heteronormativity leads to violence towards minors
I love seeing the current Republican party slowly fall. Republicanism used to have core values, nowadays It's regurgitating the same nonsense to feel "intellectual".
Sometimes I feel like I realized too late when I was only 16. I felt like I was just lying to myself and that if I didn't show signs before puberty or something then clearly I'm not "really trans." I cant imagine how upsetting it is to come to terms with it that much later in life. Not to mention transitioning is so much harder the older you get. It's so important that this is talked about more so people dont spend their entire life feeling broken and confused, or think that theyre fake for not knowing at a young age. I hope you're doing alright, congrats on figuring things out ^^
We need gay and trans teachers in school and we need straight teachers who are allys. When I was in school I was struggling a lot because my parents didn’t accept me. Going to school was an escape from my terrible home life.
@@owenpeterson6183 Could ask you the same. Instead, I asked you what aspect of moms playing dress-up with their daughters resembles pedophilic grooming in your mind.
@@clemtoe Ah yes, kids competing against each other to see who can be the most conventionally attractive (as judged by adults) is definitely not creepy, weird, and considered grooming, but telling your kids they can be gay IS. Forcing kids to dress up and compete against other kids to see who can be the most attractive is definitely not damaging to the mental health of any of the children competing, but telling kids that they're allowed to be gay IS.
I remember when I was 5 I asked my mom “can a [dude] marry a [dude] or a [woman] marry a [woman]?” And her response was just “yeah” it doesn’t have to be super deep.
Love that this is a universal experience 💀 my friend would always text the gc to come to the bathroom for a sec and we always knew it was about to be a smoke session before going back to class
LOL that old propaganda piece referring to gay people as "the homosexual" made me think I was watching a dystopian discovery channel nature documentary.
It's not about grooming to be homosexual it's about grooming for pedophilia. Talking to children from kindergarten to 3rd grade about sex is just creepy.
@@calisto789 No - They just show the original videos. They conflate nothing. There is no commentary. My question to you. Why would a child need to understand gender in kindergarten thru 3rd grade? They can hardly read and do math? How the hell are they supposed to understand the left's warped concept of gender? All you do is confuse them. At least we know where you stand on talking to children about sexualy charged matters. I wouldn't let you anywhere near my kids.
If the only thing a person can think about is sex when they see a gay person...I think that says a whole lot more about that person rather than the gay one
It makes me very angry that people conflate LGBTQ relationships and identities with sex (just because LGB+ are "sexualities" and that has the word "sex" in it? I've had people tell me that and couldn't answer when I pointed out that straight people are, uh heteroSEXual). They don't see straight relationships as inherently sexual and hardly question it when children are exposed to straight sexuality, but the very existence of gay people is inherently sexual, even if we're doing absolutely nothing sexual. It's ridiculous.
end note: if you don’t want your children around discussions about gender, sexuality, etc. don’t put them around it. if you want to raise your child to be a self-loathing bigot, do it, but don’t wonder why your children will end up hating you. i’ve been there, i’ve been in environments with family where i was not allowed to explore myself, and was not accepted to be the person i AM. that’s how you lose relationships with your family. we can never be the person we are meant to be until we know who we are.
well i'm a bisexual conservative.. you do realize that conservative doesn't = republican, right? lol. I've never voted for a republican and likely never will, just like I've never voted for a democrat.
@@painexotic3757 yeah you pretend to give a shit about LGBT issues, if at all, but don't have a problem with the systems that create those issues in the first place. Or to put it simply, you don't want LGBT youth to be homeless because they're LGBT. You want them to be homeless because they're poor
@@KingZNIN Im fairly libertarian/centrist. I find myself believing in some liberal and conservative policies but am heavily conservative. For example, some conservative things I agree with is limiting the usage of hardcore drugs, economic freedom/pro-capitalism, pro-military, pro-second and first amendment (freedom of speech and right to bear arms), and i'm pretty gender-critical when it comes to trans/genderfluid people, etc. But liberal policies I believe in are pro-choice, gay-rights/equality, legalization and decriminalization of soft-drugs (like weed), and revamping the judicial system. So, as you can see, I side with neither democrats nor republicans..
@@painexotic3757 the right hates free speech (one example Kentucky is either trying or has recently failed to pass a bill making it up to the police to decide if it's legal to assault, and arrest people for insulting the state) Next the right doesn't care about the military outside of making it bigger. They regularly vote to not pay the military (as in the troops) when the government shutdown, the right keeps trying to weaken the VA, to cut corners on spending (luckily Bernie Sanders who used to be the head of the veterans committee was able to pass a bill called veterans choice in 2014 which did a lot of things that greatly improved the VAs, and gave vets the ability to get healthcare from other sources (but not as much help as he wanted because republicans and corporate democrats forced him to cut the bill in half). Remember the best way to help is to make less vets. Aka pointless wars that we fight for no reason other than money. What do you mean by pro capitalism? Like pro cutting regulations which let's say for example let's a chicken processing facility to dump in the water of a river which then contaminates the drinking water of a small town, or is it something else? Is it privatizing government stuff like schools, Medicare, and so on for profit? I'm not exactly sure what you mean by pro capitalism and I'm assuming that means to expand it. Personally I'm largely neutral to capitalism as long as it's well regulated. Most of the left supports the second amendment, but they want basic regulations (like gun locks which is expected to cut gun related deaths by over 50%, and it doesn't cost much especially if the government pays for the locks) As for being critical of trans and gender fluid what do you mean? Are you like the right in believing that they just want to sexually assault their youths, like they said about everyone else in the LGBTQ community about a decade ago, or is it something different? All I'm saying is that the right screams certain things but don't actually understand their own positions, or are actively chooses to lie. Now I do admit that at least 80% of the Democratic party in power are just moderate right wing now, but that's probably because of the high amounts of big business money in their pockets saying rase taxes on the lower rungs and not on them.
