The Irish Guy takes a look at the latest revelations from Michael Owen's autobiography, including his decision to sign for Manchester United, his feud with Alan Shearer and his reluctance to link up with Newcastle United.
In 17 minutes he's just destroyed Michael Owen's new book! You are the most underrated thing on youtube and I'm proud to have you as a fellow toon fan.
He grew up as an Everton supporter- he is a fan by association only. I am a Liverpool supporter who forgives him, but I really don’t think the club should have him as an ambassador. That said, I would hate him if I were a Magpie
MatrixBoi P.P warming the bench doesn't count. He soldout legend status at Liverpool to pretend to win the premier league. To call him just a cheerleader at United would insult cheerleaders.
Not great no, and I say this as a United fan. I mean admittedly we as a club were at least fairly realistic about the guy and knew he was a bit past it.
*_This... This is without a doubt the best rant video I've ever seen, this man and his amazing scarf just said it all, all that's left to do is simply clap, gg my lad 👏_*
I miss having northern rock as a sponsor. It suited the colours of the kit more than having a massive blue Wonga sign or blue Fun88 bet sign on the shirt
Owen's fragile ego, I suspect, won't ever let himself take any blame or responsibility for anything. The line from his book @ 14:56 sums him up, 'Liverpool didn't want me so I went to Manchester United' kinda makes it sound like he went to United out of spite than anything else. 👍
THE ENLIGHTENED ONE no, I’m just waiting for you to realise you “meant” meant. Spactard. You don’t seem to realise the definition you looked up doesn’t apply to what you were saying. This is getting funnier and funnier.
I feel not enough people are talking about that Palace villa game, something needs to be done about refs like that yet the FA are doin jack shit always
That voice during "thigh problems, thigh problems, thigh problems, thigh problems, thigh problems, thigh problems, thigh problems, thigh problems, thigh problems, thigh problems" had me in an absolute mess. 🤣🤣🤣
This is pretty low from Owen to be honest. It shows how he was completely out of touch with the people of Newcastle and how important the club is to them. No respect at all. As a former resident of Newcastle, not a fan mind you, I am pissed.
@@swaglad9728 But he didn't go did he? That's the difference. Why would you want to stay at a club where none of the players gave a fuck and the new boy can get injured walking to the corner shop. Man would probs go in a helicopter anyway. Why would a person that is playing for their "boyhood club" leave anyway? Could have gone out on loan if he really wanted to experience other clubs/countries. Then signs for Liverpool's rivals. TBF you can say that it's just about the playing football, not anything else, that's true, but tell that too near enough £6,000,000 he took from 4 years at NUFC. He didn't have to sign if he didn't want to, but no fucker else wanted him. (Thanks for letting me rant)
the bit about shearer wanting to leave for liverpool in 06 has gotta b bullcrap, it makes no sence he was a year off retring and had been playing in that newcastle side that hadnt won anything the whole time he d been there !!
Liverpool fans have booed him? That just shows that his boyhood club’s fans hate him now He has fucking disintegrated all positive connections he has ever had in football and tbh, he deserves it. No player is bigger then any club, especially not one with legs more unstable then Germany’s economy after world war 1. He’s supposed to be “Liverpool through and through”, yet signed for their biggest rivals and celebrated many goals when he was a united player, if that doesn’t show that he doesn’t really care about where he is then, I don’t know what will. Though he did say somewhere that he enjoyed his time at Newcastle, yet says he hated it in the book. I think he’s just sad that nobody is paying attention to him, he’s a shitty pundit, a calamitous human being that doesn’t know what the word loyalty means and certainly doesn’t know how to keep any positive working relationships in a sport
@@thomasjones2415 Absolutely Thing is, he did have the talent And the injuries weren't his fault at all But he should show some professionalism and actually realise that maybe it was himself that made his career collapse
normally I enjoy the takedowns of mediocre players or under performing teams but this was pure gold. A book reviewer for the times would be proud of it. Marvellous piece in highlighting hypocrisy. Not a Newcastle fan but I commend their patience at the time, and really looks nasty when owen wrote he owed them nothing. Not cool. this is a classic burn well done fellow gael.
Well said mate... only 1 thing that was left out is the fact that as u said he claims he's a Liverpool fan,and wants us Liverpool..then why say 1 week talking man u "we" are the better side, and then Liverpool on the up and refused to celebrate man u win over PSG, only loyal to money...as was pointed out in the video.,great video..and 💯 on everything that was said.
@@ab_0327 Owen 0 ucl Gerrard 1, also Owen 0 legacy worldwide even with his balon d oro and prem trophy, I'm not going at Owen since I started supporting Liverpool in 04 before he left and remember how good he was back then but still the guy has some big ego issues, personally I'd say leaving Liverpool was his career ending move regardless of the one prem trophy he got
We took the champions league last season, and yea just like to think of past Glory's tables turned, and took that cunt show his disloyalty to win something after 10 years.. enjoy living LFC dust mate for once, can't wait to play yas pal :)
Just a reminder that Coutinho, another player who left Liverpool for a Spanish giant and flopped, ruled out a move back to the premier league (especially Man United) because he had too much love for Liverpool. Owen can't defend himself.
Fair enough i suppose. Reckon he’ll be an absolute weapon for them too but it’s technically still a contradiction. But i just admire the dedication in responding to a reply on a 2 year old comment. And in the same day too! First time anything like that has happened to me. You have my respect mate
