Great classic song! Love it. I never make requests 😊, BUT I was just listening to Clapton's acoustic version of "Going Down Slow," from "Lady in the Balcony" and would love a lesson on it. Thanks for all you do.
Mr. MacLennan. I found you and right away became a member of your paid lessons. I am so glad I can also see you come up on my RU-vid list. You are great. All the best to you .Thank hou . Big Fan!
Jon, why do teach using the middle finger to cover both the first and second string? Why not just use the ring finger for the first string, isn't that how it's typically taught?
Yet another song I'd love to actually be able to play, but can't make my fingers actually *work* like they need to. How long does it take before you can actually *play* any of these songs?! It's ridiculous! It looks so damn easy, and absolutely is **NOT!**
Just throw over to the lesson . I find it helpful to relax into just making sounds and letting go of the final goal (beyond gently holding it in the background)...as video suggests -breaking down each little bit - eg the fingerpicking pattern and running that on no chords, then one chord repeating pattern then just 1st two chords with the picking pattern...then just 1st Three chords etc
