Great to hear what the community loves about Sai King, and great to hear you giving appreciation to him and us Dave! It would be easy to take him for granted but as a group us constant reads are so lucky. I’m on my first ever trip to the dark tower at the moment and strangely enough just read one particular section relating to todays date that I won’t spell out in case anyone who hasn’t read it is looking at this.
Love this!!! Always enjoy your videos, my friend. Just finishing up his new book, You Like it Darker. I watched your spoiler free review of it and am loving the stories so far. I will leave my top 3 over in the comments of that video when I’m finished. Keep up the great content on your channel. Cheers!
I love how glimmers of other characters bleed through. For instance, I love the Body. I went back and read the Gunslinger and met Jake Chambers. While Jake is not Chris, they share attributes. It was like visiting an old friend.
Thanks Stephen, I am your number one .. uhm, wrong ... I wouldn't write myself without On Writing, I wouldn't have a second hometown in Derry, Maine, and seven friends there. I wouldn't say "Ka-tet" and "Ka" and "Lange Tage und angenehme Nächte" - yes, I read all of King and mostly just in German. Thanks for 25 years more, for Billy Summers, for Blaze, yes, for Holly Gibney and thank you deeply for Joyland. Love that book.
I love Stephen King (or Uncle Steve in our house), for who he is as a person, his fearlessness in speaking his mind, calling out our politicians on their bullshit - beep, beep Richie!, and his devotion to his wife and kids. He's not a quitter and I admire that. I love the worlds hes given us and he puts nostalgia on the page like no one else, but still brings darkness with a razors edge to the everyday. I could go on forever, but there isnt enough time in a day - Im grateful hes still with us and sharing his talents. Long live the King!
Hey, dude. Do Stephen King's books save you from depression? I just wanted to hang myself, even prepared a noose, but decided to postpone my suicide for now, since I have not yet read all the books by Stephen King.
First of all, I’m glad you didn’t do it and I’m glad you’re here. I’m fortunate to have never suffered from depression so I can’t say they’ve saved me. But they clearly have saved you, which is great!
