The funny thing with Megatron's golden form is that he gained it by siphoning/stealing that power from someone else who had a golden form. You can see where I'm going with this lol
Well the image in the thumbnail shows _G1_ Megatron (not even Galvatron) so it's safe to say Frieza wins this one as i can't think of any piece of G1 media which even suggests og Megatron has the power to destroy an entire planet (one of Frieza's favourite hobbies) by himself. Frieza has this one.
@@javiervasquez625 That ain’t even the official thumbnail if I’m correct. Also, judging what they give characters just by the thumbnail alone is not the best way to predict who wins.
@@Japple_Junior ¿If they can't bother to "update" the character's look to the most current continuity why bother with the thumbnail in the first place? For guys who presume themselves to be "scholars" regarding the Lore of fictional franchises Death Battle sure have a very careless way of showing it visually.
@@javiervasquez625 Rappter, who is the one who made this fan made thumbnail, just used the most iconic version of Megatron for this. Nothing more, “scholar.”
@@Japple_Junior ¿So this is indeed not the _official_ thumbnail then? Very well but should they the G1 design for the real deal i will call them out for lack of accuracy with the most recent iteration of Megatron they are _using_ in their fight against the recent iteration of Frieza from Super.
I do know that Regenesis Shockwave was capable of merging all universes into one singularity. And we do know that there are an infinite amount of Universes thanks to Brainstorms Time Travel experiment. And Optimus was able to contend with Regenesis Shockwave, meaning Megatron should also be capable of doing the same since him and Optimus are equals. It’s also worth mentioning that Regenesis Shockwave was capable of threatening the concept of death and both Optimus and Megatron obliterated him. Note that they did this together, but Megatron should still be able to contend with Regen Shockwave as Optimus did the same thing
¿Should we count stuff which happened _outside_ G1 continuity? The thumbnail is very explicit in this been Megatron in his og base form from the 80s cartoon so i don't see why the guys from Death Battle will take post G1 Lore into account against Frieza.
That would be a universal feat it would still be wise to use IDW megtron cause it would be up to hax since frieza and idw galvatron is multiversal + but since its death battle they scalw dbs characters to universal which is bs death battle scales ( also nerfing thor base ) in my opinion vegeta wins base thor other thors he would lose . Base Ww >base thor< or = broly > ultra ego vegeta > immortal hulk this is how death battle scales which is absolutely retarded
@@javiervasquez625 They did the same with Optimus Prime in his battle and apparently IDW is canon to G1 so I don’t see why they wouldn’t now, especially because G1 canon alone definitely can’t contend with Dragon Ball by itself, the IDW feats are what’s basically gonna determine whether Megatron can contend with Frieza.
5:13 The Rappter, Death Battle did go under the assumption that Aizen lost the Hogyoku (he didn’t) but they gave it to him anyway as it is an important part to his character
@@jaydenmcbob9174 yee, this came as a surprise to all of us. Megatron should also be fighting someone from the Gundam franchise too. Or maybe some other character that's a robot or someone controlling a robot.
The one thing the Discord vs Bill taught us, personlity can play a role too. Discord lost because he didn't take the fight seriously. This fight is all gonna hinge on which version of Megatron they bring to the fight. Megs scales very different based on the primary material you decide to give him. I personally want His comic iteration plugged in going against Frieza Black, but I can’t say in confidence that is what we’re getting. Either way, I’m rooting for Megatron. Loved Transformers since I was a kid & it’s one of the franchises that influenced my love for robots & things of that nature.
Death battle always does composite versions of their fighters, like when they gave Superman golden age, silver age, New 52 era and many more feats all at once. Kinda unfair if you ask me but oh well.
Wow, an prediction with rewrites? Must be good. Great video and I agree this fight is very complicated because of Transformers cannon. Fight can go either way but the winner will decide on power and their abilities. I helped the G1 prediction blog on this years ago and not going to be in the remake due to alot of G1s helping for this battle. Rooting and predicting Megatron, but this is goes either way. Great reaction, but man I can tell this one made you confused. But 100% fact the fight can go either side.
Antimatter is deadly to organic beings shown in Transformers Prime, but whether or not it can outright kill Frieza is the question, as Frieza resisted Sidra's Hakai aka existence erasure.
Dont quote me on this but im pretty sure that in dragon ball. The stronger you are compared to someone. The less effetive their abltites would be on you. Like the hakai. Antimatter though would't really care for how durable or strong you are. Its still gonna anhilate your matter. Could be totally wrong here
@olp3850 Frieza's resistance to it would be legit. Base Goku tanked a Hakai much stronger than him, so it's not as clear cut as being stronger than it. You can resist a Hakai if your weaker than it, but you can outright overpower it if your stronger than it.
I think they should have picked the version of Megatron from Transformers Cybertron as Frieza's match up he is a lot more like Frieza than the G1 version.
Me personally, I am rooting for Frieza, since they May be giving Megatron all of his G1 abilities and scaling but I think their hypothetical scaling for Black Frieza may be too much. Although, the universal infinite multiverse whatever feat by G1 comics may just give Megatron the win.
Honestly while Alex vs Cole was better than I expected, though I didn't expect much as I have no history with either I am super hyped for this one. Freeza and Megatron are two of my all ti.e favorite Villains. Not my favorite which is Lion Kings Scar, but still up there. I am gonna say Megatron just because it is my prediction and I can say what I want in all seriousness though I think it will be close but I feel Freeza has this.
@saifrashid3673 Comp. Power Rangers lost to Voltron, Comp. Leonardo lost to non-Comp. Jason, Comp. Vader lost to Obito, Comp. Yoda lost to King Mickey, and Comp. Macho Man lost to Kool-Aid Man. Probably more but I don't feel like looking it up. Death Battle's been stingy on Composite characters since Season 3 changed the rules, but from memory they have a pretty even win/loss ratio against non-coms.
The strongest ive seen megatron was Alternity. Which you described. He basically became a multiversal entity by combining with Hytherion. A godlike beast from the divine transformers. Who transcended timelines and universes. And allowing megatron to summon versions of himself from other universe and timelines. He could blast someone in the past and hurt them in the current. You can freely look up the universe if ya want for more info. But its pretty nuts if its included. "Also known as the "Beast of Time", the Hytherion (ハイセリオン Haiserion) is a hyper-dimensional creature of immense power and destructive potential, capable of traveling freely throughout universal streams. Composed of the dimensionally-resonant material alternium, the Hytherion's natural sustenance is time itself. In particular, the beast has been known to savor devouring the origins of worlds and universes, a tendency which has seeded fear of it in countless universes where it is known as the "Origin Eater". Normally invisible and intangible to lower-dimensional beings, the Hytherion is opposed by the enlightened guardians of causality known as the Alternity, an evolved form of Cybertronian life. It is prophesied that the evil Megatron will lead the creature to destroy the Earth. The Hytherion is known by the Transcendent Technomorphs to be a force of nature, a cog in the great multiversal machine whose function is to consume weakened and damaged universes, preventing their chaos from spreading further into the multiverse." But yeah transformers is a hard to scale thing here without more info.
Yeah but here's the thing, it could be because he matched/surpassed the power level of that destruction orb you know how dragonball fights works it all ties up on who has superior numbers however when it comes to antimatter it could be something you have no defense against no matter what you do it just destroys everything it touches like truth seeking orb who knows.

You are clearly losing your mind over this debate and with you being a consistent prediction maker I can't blame you lol. I'm with you completely: going Frieza very cautiously, well aware his chances could unravel quickly.
I always knew that Death Battle was going to do this episode, but I thought they were going to save it for next year to coincide with Transformers One. Yes, I know Rise of the Beasts came out this year, but I thought if any episode was going to promote that, it would've been X vs Optimus Primal.
I remember back, I believe 2 years ago now, when this matchup first started being discussed. People said Frieza va G1 Megatrom, and I immediately laughed. I’m a huge transformers guy who had grown up with the original G1 cartoon and also the bayfilms. to my knowledge at the time, I thought there is absolutely no way that Megatron could ever beat Frieza. After two years though, and having read more of the IDW transformers I definitely could see megatron maybe winning. However it’s so hard to since just saying “G1” Megatron I weird. I hope they pull everything for Megatron, even if he loses.
Depends on versions. Like Predator or such, there’s tons of ways to take it. Frieza has Black, and yeah, dunno the form. I think this is a “fair” fight in that they’ll try to use various medias to be equal like Archie Sonic v Xeno Trunks.
Just want to point out that this season has had a herald of Galactus (silver surfer) and a herald of unicron (megatron/ galvatron). I’d like to think this is a hint that we’ll be getting Galactus vs Unicron as the season finale. I guess only time will tell.

Knowing the Dragon Ball community if Frieza loses, they will freak out and make debunk videos And said FRIEZA IS MULTI-VERSA ++++ AND MEGATRON IS SMALL PLANET LEVEL.
The problem is that death battle can’t scale any of these characters accurately. The best scaling for frieza is high complex multiversal to possibly (not concretely, so it’s not definitive) low hyperversal. The most consistent scaling for megatron I’ve seen is multiversal+, with potential transdimensional statements making him potentially hyper to outerversal. So it’s up in the air.

I, honestly, want Megatron to win. But I don’t even know a lot about both Frieza and Megatron. People are saying that Megatron should get IDW comic feats, because they did it for Optimus in his MU, so why not do it for Megatron? Because if they don’t the matchup would just be boring, one-sided and obvious, as we all don’t really like one-sided fights all that much. They also need to give Megatron some of his best IDW and G1 feats, unlike they did to Darth Vader, so this matchup would be more interesting and intriguing than a one-sided stomp.
Someone else _already_ did Galactus vs Unicron in RU-vid in a seperate channel so at this point it would be "plagiarism" if Death Battle did their own version of that same fight. I feel the chance for such an episode ever been made has already sailed.

To help everyone understand what a multiverse is for future references and as to why the transformers feats are multiversal. Here is the definition of the word multiverse. “The multiverse is the hypothetical set of all universes. Together, these universes are presumed to comprise everything that exists: the entirety of space, time, matter, energy, information, and the physical laws and constants that describe them.” Destroying a universe several times over doesn’t compare to destroying a multiverse which includes erasing all of time, space and matter. from every conceivable universe. Which seems to be death battle’s way of thinking thanks to Thor vs Vegeta and Brody vs Hulk.
Megatron probably loses, but how can I not root for one of the most iconic villains in media? He's up there with Darth Vader and the Joker. I just hope we finally get a good transformers episode.
Megatron is definitely iconic but I’d say he’s Sauron level or maybe even Dr Doom level. Vader and joker are just in a league of their own when it comes to being iconic.
I have no clue how they will handle Black Frieza, I guess they'll just scale the amount of power he gained training for 6 months to the 10-year period he spent in his alternate dimension, which would give him absolutely insane power but... what else would they even do?
as much as I love Megatron (and I am a HUUUUUGE Transformers fan) I have a sinking feeling that Megatron might lose...I don't know, what do you guys think? Coz I may be a huge Transformers fan, but there are some parts of Transformers I haven't even discovered yet. Like, me knowing months ago that IDW Optimus is basically Thanos or Superman level of powerful
I am curious what Dragonball character they will use next as majority of the heavy hitters have been used. I would guess either Gohan or Picollo, but personally I would like to see kid Goku for a change so we can just use feats from the "original" DragonBall.
Some things I heard that should be noted (But not guaranteed for DB to mention). It could still be a win for Frieza, but Megatron may surprise people if this information is considered. 1: A recent chapter revealed Black Frieza is not actually stronger than UI Goku or UE Vegeta, but just better at controlling his energy. He only one-shotted them because they were already exhausted, fighting both Granolah and Gas without stopping. Plus Vegeta does say they seem to have to hit a limit and need to focus on controlling their power and using it correctly which Whis complements him on. 2: People say Frieza can win because he can blow up planets, but base Megatron can survive planetary level explosions. And he's only gotten stronger since then. We have to take into account that DB could give Megatron his Galvatron, Golden, Anti-Matter, and/or even his Alternity form (If that happens, it'll be Thanos vs Darkseid again). 3: Any feat DB has given Optimus Prime needs to be scaled to Megatron, since not only does he fight Optimus on even footing, but has won multiple times before (just as Optimus has beaten Megatron too). 4: If they use IDW feats, then Megatron should be considered multiversal since he's fought multiversal threats like Unicron and Regenesis Shockwave and won (even with help, it still puts him on equal footing with Frieza). 5: One thing that could happen is that Frieza may run out of energy before he can finish off Megatron. While Frieza is said to have better control of his energy than Goku and Vegeta, we don't' know by how much. If Frieza can't kill Megatron in time, it could be a win for Megatron since as a machine, Megatron has unlimited stamina.
I think I’m gonna go with Megatron; because it’s impossible to logically deduce his chances for the reasons you said, but I am rooting for Megatron either way because I generally like rooting for an Underdog. And anyone going up against a DB character (except a Marvel or DC herald after their last few MUs) feels like the underdog.
@@yaboiirrelevant9179 Well I more meant in terms of general vs debating; where Dragon Ball (especially Super) is typically acknowledged to stomp most of fiction. Death Battle tends not to do episodes on match-ups that uneven though (unless the community believes they're somewhat close prior to the episode. They'll write up a stomp in that case). So DB's win-loss rate on the show is more even then the verse's power would imply because they get powerful opponents; hence the Marvel & DC heralds not counting as underdogs against them.
@@yaboiirrelevant9179the only losses for Dragon Ball is ONLY against comic boom characters, right? Specifically, Marvel and DC. Archie Silver would count as comic book also.
Rooting and betting Frieza. Even with the stuff from the Transformers manga, you could make the argument for Heroes Frieza in a black box (though, I’m not fond of how they handled the scaling they did for heroes).

Too early for this matchup I'm afraid.... Frieza wasn't even close to his full power in Black form and that was enough to OHKO both Vegeta and Goku's strongest forms, but we don't know if the form has any other perks / disadvantages... This is a match that could have waited a year or two to happen. As it is, it all depends if DB gives Megatron his golden form (that he canonically had to absorb from another entity to transform into, and he also lost that form), he claps easily, there's nothing in DBS even close to that level of power (yet), if Megatron can't use golden form, this is a complete mismatch the moment Frieza takes this fight seriously and transforms into his new black form.
Death Battle doesn’t really use much of power scaling because in general it’s stupid to use it if’s just about the upper hand from factors. Death Battle does the ways of two characters can do to win than power scaling so you can’t say Frieza wins because Megatron got more powers to kill Frieza.
Then why would they show a clip of a Completely Different Megatron, G1 Megatron and War for Cybertron Game Megatron are two Completely different Megatrons.
I don't know what Megatron is capable of, but I'll root for him becauae typically anime < comic books < cartoons. That's often how it be. Edit: I think Megatron is faster though.
Sure hope Frieza wins Eastern characters need a winning streak especially since Obito finally ended the solid 2 years and 7 mths losing streak of Eastern against Western
they never been able to fight shockwave at his highest level, when he was at his highest level megatron or optimus couldn't stop him at all actually. so they talked to him into basically killing himself. While yes optimus have fought someone who controlled the dead universe completely, megatron never been close to those feats. Best megatron done really was attack a giant decepticon combiner god which he didn't even defeat (it also really damaged his body which was an upgraded version of the one that optimus couldn't even make a dent of.).
Keep in mind that Frieza easily restricted Hakai energy. Yes, it was by one of the weakest god of destruction but that God is destruction is still bare, minimum multi universal at least. Not to mention this version of frieza is literally thousands of times weaker than this frieza.
As a form Megatron will take in the battle? Probably not. Will they scale him to Galavatron because of multiple G1 time travel stories that had the two fight each other? That’s likely.
Frieza wins. He scales to Goku, who can destroy a universe a thousand times over just by clashing fists with Beerus. He also has great survivability. The guy literally survived the destruction of Planet namek after he got cut in half with his own attack and to top it off he stood his ground against Broly, who shattered reality from his fight with Gogeta. If they include Black Frieza in this fight, then its going to be a complete overkill
In the canon IDW comics, Megatron is, at least, multiversal, with arguments to get much higher, high-end IDW Megatron actually stomps Black Frieza, it would not be close in the slightest. The question, then, is if they use the IDW comics, which they probably will, not just because they're canon, but because they used them for Optimus. Essentially, without IDW scaling, Megatron gets stomped, with IDW scaling, Frieza gets stomped
@@poliorice3600 ¿How can the IDW comics be "canon" we don't know which _iteration_ of Megatron they're gonna use for the fight? For all we know they'll just focus on G1 Megatron who's most definetly not on the same level as Black Frieza meaning we shouldn't assume anything until they reveal which version of Megatron they're gonna use.
@javiervasquez625 they used IDW Optimus, why not Megatron? Also, G1 is incredibly dubious as to what actually counts for it, with IDW potentially being one of those things, so there's really no reason for them to not use it, there's already precedence
Regardless of when it comes to a DragonBall fight no matter have confusing a matchup like this is DB knows how to do a DragonBall fight well. Some of the best fights in DB history comes from Dragonball.
Death battle is hilariously bad at scaling dragon ball. They also tend to use composite versions of characters to fight dragon ball characters. If you’re not gonna use composite for both, then don’t use composite at all because that’s unfair. Dragon ball literally would’ve won every fight if they didn’t use composite bullshit. And that Vegeta versus Thor fight was a joke. It has been debunked many times Vegeta absolutely shitstomps Thor.

I like Megatron more than Frieza, but I just don't see Megatron beating him, especially with Black. And even his Golden Form. Yeah, I know about the crazy cosmology Transformers Scaling, but at the same time, what people don't understand is that Dragon Ball power scaling isn't bound by their cosmology. They've literally reached Super Dimensional battle power that completely breaks everything in their Multiverse and even different timelines now (which is why I hate how they scaled Xeno Trunks). Heck, Goku, in just his Super Saiyan form, if the Daizenshuu Multipliers are correct, could destroy the entire cosmology of Dragon Ball... here, imma do some math real quick... 4 TIMES OVER. And that's not even including his scaling past the Tournament of Power. Gogeta literally shattered Dimensional Reality before even ascending past Super Saiyan. And Ultra Instinct in the Moro Saga is definitely stronger than Gogeta Blue and Broly. And Vegeta's Ultra Ego is on the same level. And Frieza one shot them like they were nothing. The only fighter stronger than Black Frieza is Gohan Beast, and even that's only because Toriyama said so. What does Transformors have against that? I really don't see Megatron winning this one.
I've gotten heavy into Transformers over the past 2 years and I find it funny that people think anyone from Transformers could take on a character like Frieza. 😂 Frieza is one of, if not the, most broken characters in all of Dragon ball, including the Gods of Destruction, the angels and Goku himself.
They did say back with Goku Vs Superman they wouldn't use Future Goku due to that needing lots of assumptions, so unless they have definitive numbers to use, they probably won't do Black Frieza if there isn't enough scaling to reliably trust.
