So happy to have stumbled upon your channel. I've been a Swiftie since her Debut album because I formed my musical tastes by listening to the singer/songwriters of the 70s. That makes me all about the words; which inevitably makes me admire Taylor Swift, the queen of lyrics. Thank you for your thoughtful reaction. I truly enjoyed it.
I am not a fan of Taylor Swift at all. Her fan base is mostly females. But the first time I saw her was when she was 13 singing country songs., I was impressed but forgot all about her. But how do you forget a successful lady like her. Her fans adore her so much. She is the Number 1 singer/song writer in the world. She has broken so many records too. I admire her success and continuing to grow as an artist.
Thanks for your comments. It's interesting that most of the people who are making reaction videos to her music are male, and most of them are from a metal or hip pop background.
The hip hop folks make sense to me- they focus a lot on the lyricist which is her strength The metal guys - I just don't know lol but even disturbed is a fan

I do indeed love them, although there are one or two where I think the studio version is actually better. I think that 'August', for instance, benefits from the bigger production of the studio version
I agree with what someone else here said. Most of these reactors - and I do follow a whole bunch of them - are first time T Swift listeners. They tend to become fans once they go down the rabbit hole, but it’s nice to also watch reactions from someone like yourself who already appreciates her.
@philipnewey i agree. Dancing with our hands tied and false god fall into the better in the studio category for me... but some do go the other way, labyrinth for example I prefer live❤
About the bandwagon: The majority of TS reactions (in my feed, at least) are touted as "first time hearing" types of reactions. Those are, indeed, fascinating for swifties but, in your case, you might aim at a different target. Instead of "first time" you could go for deeper/more thoughtful reactions with more philosophical undertones by picking songs that have captured your imagination. You would not be the only person doing that - and probably not the most "qualified" person to do that, from the standpoint of "swiftie experts" - but you would be among the most qualitied from a philosophical perspective. In any case, there is nothing wrong with a bandwagon if, overall, it is one that has a positive impact on the world. I say that Taylor has an overall positive impact on the world, as do most swifties and most pro-Taylor commentators (counterbalancing the Taylor-haters). As for your followers who have no interest in Taylor, they can skip those episodes or, in some cases, you could tie Taylor into a topic that they do care about. Perhaps put Taylor to work explaining/clarifying various ideas you want to explore.

Jump on the bandwagon. We're tougher than you think. You don't have to like all of her music. But, please, watch Miss Americana before you dive into her discography. You will be amazed how it helps you to understand her and her music.

I dont know why I was expecting this to be a trick reaction and actually listen to Death By a Thousand Cuts by the awesome band Imminence. If you like metal, I'd definitely give it a listen!
