I first encountered this track on Adult Swim. I had no idea it was a serious attempt at making music or art. Some years later, I'm a big fan.

Death Grips is definitely a pretty niche band, but they've influenced a ton of other musicians; even David Bowie was listening to them and drawing influence from them according to the producer of his final album before his death. They've also collaborated with the bassists of both TOOL and Primus as well as Bjork.

6:23 - It's still called a key, even if you key on something that's not green. Like a luma key for an example, keying on what's bright, which is probably what they keyed on in this scenario hence his eyes and teeth disappear.

The next time my dad needs to fix a fan and tries to find a video guide, I'll make sure to send him this video. As for Death Grips, I'd be interested in hearing your view on either Hacker or On GP. Both are pretty different (Hacker is much more aggressive, while On GP is more depressive), but both are fairly complex and have more of a lyrical focus (in my view) than Guillotine.

the group is made of three ppl a rapper a producer and a drummer (the drummer zach hill has been a super good math rock drummer since like early 2000's) they have a handful of albums all good and sound different

Huge cult following, very experimental group that use prolific samples from Bjork, Beastie Boys and Bowie all the way to pitch-adjusted Tennis screams from the Williams sisters.... on hiatus at the moment with no news of any new music yet, last album was 2018...

haha the message of the lyrics is just "our band is sick, our beats are the best" over and over again, the imagery he uses is crazy and pretty abstract, but the track is actually very playful.
