My greatest inspiration. The composer of 7 classic albums, each moving in their own respects. Who imparted his wisdom and skill onto numerous other musicians who would go on to other amazing metal bands. Who induces awe with both his leads and riffs; both his vocals and lyrics. The inventor and perfecter of the music that now bears the name of his brainchild: Death Metal. Who taught me "Enforce the words no more; be free. Alone you might just find serenity". 10 years later, I remember you Chuck.
one of the things i find truley amazing about chuck is that he probably could have saved himself had he played a different more poular type of music, but he spent his life doing what he loved and died for it, and thats why i find him to be a truley inspiring person. he died for what he loved. RIP chuck.
My old band,AGGRO, opened for these dudes in Santa Clara California in 1991. Chucks a cool, layed back stoner. Hell of a voice, no effects or synths, just pure energy!
Wow... just wow. I love the part around 5:15-5:45 where you see all his fans just standing in place saluting him with the corna. That's respect for you right there. Awesome song by the way, METAL TILL I DIE! RIP Chuck
I just played at the whiskey, i was stoked. But even cooler than the fact that i was playing there was that i knew i was standing where chuck was right here. Cool story about this show was that Live in LA was my first death cd i got when i was 13 or so and it was was performed on my birthday (December 5th) in 2000 or 99 i think, and it was the only southern california show in driving distance from me. I would have been like 11 or 12 years old at the time. Anywho, RIP CHUCK YOUR A LEGEND NOW!
R.I.P. Chuck. Saw Death 4 first time in 1988, 4 times total. Pioneer of DM. Look at kooky Richard Christy on drums (now a Howard Stern freak). Chuck was awesome!
Alexi and Chuck are so different... Chuck always played with his caracteristic feeling, and this feeling never gone away until his death. Only his illness could stopped his feeling..., and now that he is gone so far away, the feeling we have about him, is the same that Chuck used to play his songs for us. Alexi hasn't got the same motivation, Chuck Schuldiner played for us until his death and one prove is the Live they made in Eindhoven in 2001 the same year of Schuldiner death. RIP CHUCK
the melody in the intro kind of reminds me of the Charlie's angels theme song with them running in slow-mo. Man I love Death. RIP Chuck. these guys are awesome.
I can't begin where to start on how godly this live concert was. The biggest thing about this concert is how it's probably the best ever, and that Chuck also had cancer while he did this concert. Long live Chuck.
Chuck IS God, so many bands would not be here and this Music would have never gone where it has if he didn't come along, so many bands have listed him as there influence to become what they are, he will forever be missed.
This is a song from the album "Leprosy". By that time he wasnt so sick... his voice deteriorated as his desease grew. I had the chance to see them playing live inMexico in 1990 (?) and he did sing the low death metal vocals
what an insane fukin voice !!! one of the rarest of kinds ... it's almost impossible to cath his pitch .. Live On Forever Chuck .. R.I.P Remember .. keep the metal faith alive.
that's just what i hear in it. I hear a lot of King in his guitar. The lyrics fit a lot of bands, but would definitely fit well on a Slayer record. That's just what i pull out of this song, that's what art is all about. And this song is truly a work of art.
God bless Chuck in your onely way you knew you made the point. Im sure you influenced hundreds or thousands of decisions on e way othe other. Seriously. A dead prophet. Here I am 20 yrs + ////s still singing.
People are born some people live and people die chuck was someone who actually lived life. didn't take to being brainwashed by media/ government or religion. and during living he brought masterpeices every time he wrote a song. he also paved way for new kinds of music. RIP chuck
Favourite band since november 1991. I had the unique opportunity to see him in oct. 1995. But I prefer his old growling-death style. RIP 13.12.2001. Always n.1
it was the intro soundtrack of a movie or...pfff, i just remember that i was a kid when i used to hear this intro, i was surprised to hear death playing it, really!!
