The plot seems completely insane but by the end it actually made really clear sense, there was no real ambiguity. I think it's by far ten times harder as a parent, especially if you've lost a child, to make it through.
This game really has an amazing, goosebump-inducing atmosphere :) The story is convoluted and absolutely great at the same time, it's definitely not an easy one, you'll have to pay alot of attention and there's tons and tons of information, but in the end it is beautiful and profound. Also the soundtrack, oh my god. There's total of around 11 HOURS of cinematics in this game too, it's like a whole tv-show and a game put together.
DND: The story is either going to be amazing and epic or it's going to be super convoluted and you're not going to have no idea what's going on"" Kojima: Yes
I been playing sense I watched this vid a couple days ago. Working on 100%. 250 more legend of Legends rank deliveries to go. After that I'm gonna replay the story again
Yea, was great but surprisingly really helped with a few peoples depression. The whole game play and story loop of connecting people was very effective.
As soon as the song started and the words "see the sunset" played, I struggled to hold back my tears. I can guarantee, you will too! If you not just play this game, but feel it, immerse yourselves in it, connect with it. This game is not another shoot this, kill that. Every step you take on this journey, is one of emotions, questions and discoveries. And for all the crazy and quirky ways of Kojima's storytelling, this is most emotional one and also surprisingly the simplest one.
After playing through death stranding fully once, you get an understanding of genuinely hard work in the world today you get a feel of Iceland and its beautiful scenery you get a feel of real world community even thought its a single player game hideo kojima is absolutely the grand master of video games he knows what fans should have! not deserve or want... The cast were absolutely incredible never seen anything like this and after playing through iv learn to appreciate the real world and the people in it because the game is designed around that, imagine a world we're you never ever meet any other living person even though they exist in the world with you but... On your travels a ladder is left by someone a bridge or road have been rebuilt by an amazing group of people just wanting to heal! imagine you enter an area you don't know and people have left you messages to know of danger or something unique to watch out for but you never ever see a person... Kojima is a special person hes not afraid to make something the world needs even if people may hate it but for me it's a part of my heart now.
Death Stranding is a kind of a glorified sci-fi version of Kevin Costner's movie The Postman, where Norman Reedus' character is a 'postman' of sorts that traverses the dangerous post-apocalyptic world delivering mail/packages. Of course, the weird sci-fi elements that deal with the little pre-packaged babies, technology, and whales is where you have to play the game in order to discover what it's about.
Just ignore all the metaphors slathered throughout the story about human destruction caused by one's own hands. Loneliness due to technology as well as the power of technology to bring us together in the harshest of times (boy how true does that ring in a COVID world huh?) This game isn't some weird sci-fi game it's a combination of complex themes told over a fairly simple plot when you get down to basic story structures.
I have the game, i like it, i have completed my zip lane network on both maps, but the game suffers from some issues that i would fix if i could and make it a much better game.
If you like this trailer, you should do a reaction to the developer's previous game, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The trailers made for it are some of the greatest. I recommend watching in this order: E3 2013 Trailer -> E3 2014 Trailer -> E3 2015 Trailer I also recommend checking out Death Stranding E3 2018 trailer and the Release Date trailer.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames I didn't go over the details so I will explain more. I recommend watching The Phantom Pain VGA 2012 trailer first. This one is particularly funny because the announcement came out of nowhere, not telling what this game even was. And the Debut Trailer came along and Kojima unveiled his game finally because he is an insane person. Watch the Launch Trailer at the end of MGSV trailer watchlist. It serves as Kojima's farewell to the franchise. Basically, watch in this order: The Phantom Pain VGA 2012 -> Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Debut Trailer -> E3 2013 -> E3 2014 -> E3 2015 -> Launch Trailer. Make sure to watch the *Red Band* versions of the MGSV trailers. I know it's a lot but they really worth your time because Kojima edits his trailers by himself and each trailer contains his intent and message. On Death Stranding watchlist, I recommend also watching E3 2016, TGA 2016, and TGA 2017 ones before watching E3 2018 trailer.
It is WORTH playing if you like games that are more relaxed calm and chill. If you need constant action and flashing lights it will be terrible for you. It's a convoluted plot with lots of side lore to explain things almost like a book. All you do is walk, run, jog, climb, hike, ride and drive from point A, to B, then back a few times, then from B to C, then back a few times between AB and C all the way down to Z. If you like calm games with intense moments it is an amazing game even when you don't follow the story and if you do follow the story accepting certain plot holes unless you research side content for said answers to plot holes you will enjoy it even more. It is not a game for everyone and Hideo knew that very well.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames 100% true an interesting fact is he actually aimed his game to market towards the kinds of players that would hate it in the hopes that it would open those kinds of players up to these kinds of games. Theres a wonderful video you should react to the behind the scenes, creation of Death Stranding super interesting to see the mind of Hideo Kojima ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-faatWOs2c5c.html
Man i was whaling tears for good half hour or so, after i ended it. Gameplay is pretty boring, but its a journey and its worth it in the end. Feel more full after that jorney.
Well, that's really bad since you can find an explanation (or a reference to an explanation that you can find outside the game) of literally everything right in the game.
@@CriticalBasterd I was referring to find an explanation outside the game, at least i think its better to find a gameplay and start from the beginning.
@@rousen I just meant references, not those 'explanation for dummies' videos YT is full of. There are plenty of references in the game that help to understand the story better, but only if you know where they came from and what they mean.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames I didn't find any reaction to this particular trailer ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ENjwexZnLPI.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9G01nHVG3wQ.html
The whole game is a metaphor for loneliness in the age of technology wrapped up in religious motifs about death or our mortality and how we as a species are doomed no matter what we try and do so why not just rip the band-aid off fast and get it over with? It does a great job of showing the themes of helplessness that's rife during the 21st century, how technology can hinder our human connections with one another but also help in some ways. The other aspect of human consumption, overproduction, and pollution being almost certainly a self-paved path to destruction is also heavily implied throughout the entire game. If you've got the attention span of a pet goldfish then sure the game is weird crazy black oil creatures and baby's in pods that doesn't make sense. But if you give it even 5 minutes of attention it's pretty clear what the entire point of the game was and what mindset Kojima had when creating it.
It looks like a deep game. Something to just take your time with and enjoy. With short attention spans these days this was a good game to release to give people something different 🙂
This game is awesome ! If you're interested to watch the complet movie : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AvCYqWeQnK4.html . By the way, go watch the trailer of P.T , an horror game of Silent Hills that was cancel but the P.T demo was incredible. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-r6NCC-nnvMU.html . This game should be out by Hideo Kojima too (and Konami)
Bummer. Heard it’s pretty slow. Some have really liked it. We will give it a shot but not next up on our list of games to play. And we have a long list haha
Fair enough. It is a super long trailer. And still have no idea what is going on 😂. Though we enjoyed it as it was different and held our interest 🤷♀️🤷
This game definitely isn't short. While I didn't just breeze through the story either, I did a lot of side stuff. So by the time I finished the campaign, I put in around 70 hours. The game is actually very relaxing to play, traversing wide open spaces, then you come across poachers and ghosts then it becomes a little less relaxing. Lol
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames The game is pretty philosophical, but the main theme is human connection. How humanity needs to come together to persevere for a better future.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames so basically you're America's only hope of reconnecting the country.....by making deliveries. Many people criticized the game play aspect of this game since all you do is walking, running, climbing etc. from A to B to make a delivery. But that's the actual point of the game, you're supposed to be the "Bridge" that connects the whole entire United States together. My favorite part about this game is......Ziplines. You can place them connecting each other up to 300 meters. Remember that mountain you worked so hard on climbing? Ziplines. Ziplines saves lives 😆.
Mads Mikkelsen ❤ He was so good in this game, one of his best roles including Hannibal Lecter of course He won best performance at the game awards even beating Norman Reedus (who is the main character)
Yes he was great as Hannibal. Though we stopped watching after Season 2. Once he escaped again and went to Europe we lost interest a bit. But his acting was phenomenal
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames oh my god you missed out , the ending of season 3 absolutely amazing also Hannibal and Will's relationship is the most interesting relationship I've ever seen on screen especially in season 3 So if you plan to pick it up someday , you're in for a treat
Guys, react to God Of War 4 this game is the best series on Playstation... Just legendary status, have a massive fans all over the world. I suggest react to God of War - E3 2016 Moments | PS4 It was sooo Epic, hope you enjoy, tanks!
Huh i swear i made a comment on this video but i guess yt deleted it. Anyways if you enjoy narratives and enjoy open world games this game is a great thing to experience in full. An extremely cinematic looking game even outside of cutscenes. Trailer wise this game and "the division" imo benefit heavily if you watch their original e3 announcement trailers first.
It´s a really unique game, although very hard to explain without spoiling. I recommend you some story gameplays or the other trailers: The opening cinematic and prologue: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZlaIPysJT7w.html Other trailers: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rP3UngLFou4.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dbGD_d2cGEk.html
if you finish the game and are accustomed with Hideo kojima work the game then is very comprehensible . loved it and think it is one of his best works. not as great as MGS5 which with MGS2 are masterpieces
The amazing part is, the game was released before the pandemic and the isolation. It is almost as if Kojima predicted the future I wonder if it would have received better reception if the game was released during pandemic...
