Death Valley National Park. The very rare Lake at Death Valley. 

Couple days in awesome Death Valley. we saw the lake, artists drive, visitors center, Zabriskie point, a coyote (!), Dante's view, borax mine, gold mine, sand dunes and the Mosaic canyon. Great place to spend 2 days at. Our stay at the California/Nevada border at a casino/hotel on the other hand sucked. The resident cat made it a bit better though.
