That's funny, I'm back skating after a few year's myself (not 13 though lol) and I just got a Deathwish too. I skated Baker a TON back in the day so Deathwish is a natural for me.
@@iholiday4639 @Remmy 315 just skated it today finally and I love it honestly. Definitely better pop than the boards I used to skate. Got a 8.125 and matched it with some thunder trucks my buddy gave me. Feels good to be skating again thats for sure.
Huh, apparently I'm in a club and didn't even know it. I'm getting back into skating after a 7 year hiatus where I focused on longboarding and snowboarding... soooo yep. I also got a Deathwish yesterday as my first new deck lol
Been using the same set up for 10+ years, Deathwish board, grizzly grip, grizzly/venture trucks, bones wheels, shake junt bearings! Never did me wrong!
Deathwish Jamie Foy sig deck, Venture V light lows, Andale P Rod Swiss bearings, Bones Chris Joslin STF 52mm wheels, Pig 1" hardware, and Kyle Walker Shake Junt grip. My current setup. SUPER light board.
I'm new to skating, I got a deathwish board and on the first week I had with it I was working on my ollies for abt 1-2hrs per day. Razor tailed hella fast and I felt a noticeable decrease in pop. Pretty shit how the amazon board I got before getting an actual skateboard had better pop after a month of just working on ollies.
@@iholiday4639 nahhhhhhh this is srsly the best review channel on skateboard decks ect I've seen and for the content I was watching I wasn't expecting only 700 subs
@@iholiday4639 and I have a question I ride a baker board currently and it's pretty beaten up I've been looking for a new board but am looking for a new deck to get I was wanting to try something with a little more concave any recommendations?
Yes absolutely! Baker itself are a bit mellow so if you are looking for a deck with a bit more concave and kick I would recommend Creature or Alien Workshop! Both boards have great concave and are extremely strong. These are just my opinions though. Deathwish also have good concave but they are a bit more expensive
For the next review can the Oust bearings you have used be reviewed? I got the Oust MOC 5 Street bearings for $19 and out of the box they spun faster than Bronson G2 and Shake Junt OG Abec 7. But then after some cruising I found they spun at the same speed as the SJ OG Bearings. Since you've spent more time with the Oust bearings can you share your thoughts as there are not many videos out there on YT reviewing Oust. Thanks
@@iholiday4639 oh thank you i appreciate it do you recommend thunder over indy trucks? i’m not gonna be doing anything crazy just learning how to skate.
@@iholiday4639 thank you again you are very helpful. i just ordered a blind 8.25 deck with 148 thunder trucks, spitfire chonical full 54 mm wheels, bones swiss, and mob grip
Both , they are sister companies. Under the umbrella of baker boys distribution. Deathwish was born as and extension of Baker when Jim Greco left Baker team to establish his own new team.
