When it comes to corruption, I agree with Victor. In Kenya, people are very "open" about it while in first world countries they hide it. Hio ya China is very interesting if you consider their political environment.

The death penalty still technically exists, but no one has been hanged since the 1980s. What in turn presidents, such as Kibaki and Uhuru, have done is commute death sentences to life imprisonment. However, you can still be sentenced to death if you’re found guilty of treason, murder and/or robbery with violence.
