A few days ago my friend randomly said to me "so, what attracted you to the millionaire Paul Daniels" I burst out laughing and said Mrs Merton... Brilliant! That evening I watched this very clip several times on you tube. As funny now as it was then. I had no idea she was ill. I only found out today when I saw the newspaper in the shop. This is so very sad. Bless you Caroline for making me laugh.

To look back, we can now see the marriage between Paul and Debbie was a match made in heaven. Everybody thought it wouldn't last, but they remained married from 1988 until his death in 2016, that is 28 years of marriage.
@@gunsharck If it was just for money, she could have divorced him within 5 years and gained a fortune in the divorce deal. She stayed with him until the day he died. I do not think it was all about money
