That's pretty much the only reason Ray got married. He believed marriage would be him supporting his family with his fun job while his wife, who is way out of his league, takes care of everything around the house, including the kids, and gives him sex every night.

That’s just his excuse so he doesn’t have to parent. And he wants his wife to wait on him; she can’t do that if she’s working.

Isn’t that disgusting? No rational woman would stay married to that kind of guy. I’m a Dad myself, my son is turning 3 in October and my daughter is turning 2 in January and my wife and I have another baby on the way that’s due in December, I love being a Dad every second of my life and taking good care of them because it only happens once….they look at me and be too cute in the way they call me Dadda or Daddy. They’re gonna grow up way too fast.

Being the parent who looks after 3 kids all day while balancing a full-time job is going to wear anyone thin, man or woman. Imagine a woman with a full time job. Then her husband gets a full time job also, leaves her in charge of taking care of the kids all day, and then when she says she feels worn out, he tells her how disgusting that is, and that no rational man would stay married to that kind of woman.

@@naterksmr Dude, Ray complained a lot anytime he ever had to be a parent and help out for once. He’d rather be waited on and taken care of and he even admitted that in the marriage counseling episode…even though he was embarrassed for admitting that and then tried to backtrack, but to no avail.

@@naterksmr the difference is that he never parents; this is a rare situation for him. Your comparison is of a woman that does it in a daily basis. Not the same thing at all.

The fact that Debra couldn’t take criticism from her own boss on an idea shows it’s not just her taking Marie’s crap, she can’t take criticism period. Honesty, this further proves she not the tragic character everyone makes her out to be.

In the later seasons there was quite a major breakthrough in the marriage counseling episode. Ray subconsciously admitted, only to be embarrassed afterwards that being taken care of is what he prefers. Robert was right, that he wishes he was married to his mother😂🤷🏼‍♂️

@@christopherbako Her boss didn’t like her pizza idea and tried to critique it, but Debra couldn’t get past her own ego and accept that her idea was not perfect. If she couldn’t take a bit of constructive criticism, then it showed the kind of employee she was.

As a married man myself where I’m a cashier at a drug store and my wife is a psychologist, being a 2 income family works wonders for our 2 kids and soon to have a 3rd one that’s on the way, due in December. What Ray does here is pretty much trying to have it both ways, he wants to be the center of attention that he’s the one that provides for the family and is entitled to not have to help out with daily marital responsibilities if he doesn’t want to. He has such a fun job as a sports writer and gets to go to games for free and meet famous people and travel to interesting exciting places and he has the nerve to say weekends is his “everyone wait on him days”? And how tired can he really be after coming home to such a fun job? 🤷‍♂️LoL I work sometimes for as long as like 10 hours and when I get home, sure I’m drained as hell and would love a minute to myself when I get home, but if my kids need my help or want my attention, I do it for them, so that way they know I love them and here for them. On my occasional days off from work while my wife works, I enjoy making time for my kids. I can’t ever imagine how my wife would feel, had I ever frowned about needing to watch the kids while she’s out working or wants to go enjoy a night out with her friends. She’d divorce me faster than Jeff Gordon winning the nascar racing 500
