DEBT CONFESSION 2024 | WHERE I'VE BEEN + UPDATED NUMBERS 

I moved to NC from GA a few years ago and was SHOCKED at how much it cost to get the car registered in the state. My car was pretty new so had high property taxes, but there was also three additional fees one of them was $250. So total, I paid about $650 to get my car registered. So be sure to go to the page and see the estimated and then add a couple of hundred dollars just for good measure because it didn’t tell me what my property taxes would be. In comparison, 4 years later I moved back to Georgia (with an older car because my other car had been totaled) and it was $275 to get my car registered. Better to have more than not enough when saving though.

For all that happened in '23 and not paying as much attention, you did pretty well in the end.

My advice is to take a serious look at your storage contents and consider selling what can not be affordable replaced in the used market when you get to your new location. At the same time, look into moving vans and the like to determine what it would cost to transport. Often, it is cheaper to replace a number of things than it is to move them.

Keep track of the date that your auto draft goes throigh on your student loans. Thete is a utuber put there who went gir zuto drsft znd the reduced interest rste. However the auto draft has hit thier account days late each month with ensuing penalties. Despite contacts with the service provider, the problem has not been rectified and thry are preparing to give up the .25% rate cut gor on-time payments.
