DEBUNKED Harry Potter Theory: Dumbledore is NOT a time travelling Ron Weasley! 

My theory is that Ron Weasley decided to honour his brother’s death and pulled an enormous prank on the muggle world by becoming an incredibly famous singer. I’m pretty sure this is basically canon.

New theory: Ron is Newt. Ron = A wizard. Newt = A wizard. Both wizards. Ron has a face. Newt has a face. Both have faces. Ron = male. Newt = male. Both are male.

ALSO Aberforth knew Albus since he was born and must have known what he looked like... so years into the future when an exact look-a-like of his brother in his youth shows up... wouldn't that be... odd? LIKE SO SEAMUS CAN SEE THIS

Theory: Hermione Granger doesn't exist Evidence: she's a fictional character from a book series

Mcgonagall and Bertie Bott were both born in 1935. We know Mcgonagall went to Hogwarts from 1947-1954, so as she and Bertie Bott were both born in the same year (1935) I think it's safe to assume that the two were at Hogwarts at the same time. And we also know that Dumbledore started teaching Transfiguration at Hogwarts in 1910-1955. so, he would have taught Bertie Bott. And Bertie Bott's every flavor beans were manufactured and became a public business in (about) 1950. this means that Bertie would have been in his third year. So, he probably would have been selling them on school grounds to see if they were popular enough to start a business off of. So even though Dumbledore would have been about 53 when the beans were just starting as a product, he may have just considered himself young. Also because the average life expectancy for a wizard of fair health is about 107 years, he still had 54 years of life expectancy ahead of him (which is pretty much the equivalent of a 40 year old muggle calling themselves young).

Ok, I don't really believe this theory, but I would like to share some insight (Note that I haven't read the books in a while) : "The theory describes the two characters as having an 'Uncanny Resemblance'. Both the characters are described as tall, thin, having a long nose, and large hands. Also, apparently Dumbledore was a redhead just like Ron in his youth. What are the chances of having two redhead wizards who are both tall and thin?" I don't believe there are any other instances of two wizards/witches sharing that many resemblances (not including the Patils or other genetic/ magically enforced resemblances). I don't believe there are even any other instances of a character being described as having large hands. In comparison, it could be classed as an 'Uncanny Resemblance' to many. "There is more evidence, such as the fact that Dumbledore has a scar on his left knee, and Ron sustained a serious injury to his leg in The Prisoner of Azkaban." Cite another instance where a character is described as having an (ultimately unimportant) scar exactly where another (similar in appearance) character later sustains an injury. I dare you. "Also, is everyone forgetting that all the time turners were destroyed in The Order of the Phoenix? Why does everyone just assume that Ron has one lying around at home in case of a time of need?" Umm, are YOU forgetting that ARTHUR WEASLEY WORKED FOR THE MINISTRY! If he could avoid getting found out for doing EXACTLY what his job was supposed to prevent and actually GAIN MONEY within a year, he could easily steal a time turner! "Well, actually, there's this charm called Hermenum Revelio which reveals anyone under an invisibility cloak." If Dumbledore used that, wouldn't everyone be able to see Harry and Ron? All the V******** (He Who Must Not Be Named) stuff can be explained by Dumbledore, assuming he was Ron, realising that he had to let this happen if he wanted to become Dumbledore. Also, Dumbledore knew Lockhart was a fraud anyway, Mad-Eye Crouch can be explained by the same reasoning for why he let V******** go to Hogwarts, he learned a lot at the Battle of Hogwarts, he would have used an ageing potion to look younger and lied about Ariana and his parents. Abreforth could have been George Weasley, and the whole 'sweets' thing was more spiritual than literal. My main evidence for this not being true is the existence of Grindelwald.

Ok, I'll have a swing at why Dumbledore could have had a vomit bean in his youth. Maybe every flavor beans is not just a specific brand of candy but a type of candy, like chocolate bars or lollipops. But in this case Berty Botts have completely taken over the market to the point that no one distinguishes between the specific brand and the type of candy anymore. Like how Nutella completely dominates the hazelnut spread market. But back in the days, when Dumbledore was young, there were other companies selling every flavor beans. How about that?

To address the failure of Ron’s magic when you go back in time you can’t change events s(apart from in the cursed child) and this also is why he let Lockhart teach and let wormtail become a secret keeper, because he knew he couldn’t change the future
