On this week’s episode of the Escape Your Limits podcast, we are joined by Dr Rand McCain, aka ‘The Longevity Doctor’ to explore whether death is predetermined by genetics or whether we can make informed lifestyle choices that extend health span and override the influence of our genes.
Dr. McClain earned his medical degree at Western University and completed his internship at the University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine Residency Program (U.S.C. California Hospital) and has spent his professional life redefining what it means to be in optimal health. Having established his own practice, Regenerative and Sports Medicine Dr McClain supports his patients (many of which are A-List celebrities and world-class athletes) through the application of cutting edge treatments and philosophies including bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), hyperbaric oxygen therapy, cryotherapy, platelet rich plasma and stem cell therapies.
In his recent book, ‘Cheating Death: The New Science of Living Longer and Better’, Dr McClain reveals fresh, science-backed approach to genetics, natural aging, and proactive medical treatments and discusses how to access to these therapies to jumpstart their body’s regenerative processes. Bolstered with research and recovery stories from real people, Cheating Death gives readers the tools to live healthier, longer lives.
In this highlights video, Dr McClain talks about:
• The myths around the dangers of taking testosterone supplements
• The research that debunked the myths
• Testosterone replacement therapy causes liver cancer - fact or fiction?
• The links between prostate cancer, testosterone and estrogen

I have struggled for 9 years on try due to high aromitisation. Now I use 15mg testE for estrogen EOD, 30 mg masteronE for androgen base, and 10mg ostarine daily. Finally feeling great. Dr Rand is not up to date nor a good source of information about trt. His opinions are not accurate nor is his advice usable. He will recommend aromitase inhibitors instead of adjusting doses and compound selection. This video is a waste of time.

Dr. Rand is the man!!!! Keep on keeping on busting these myths!!! I have been on TRT for 6 months now at age 52 and my only regret is I did not start ten years ago! I did MEGA research before I committed to my decision and listening to Dr. Rand McClain's podcasts was instrumental in my final decision to begin TRT. Thanks Doc!!!🍆

Just saw a video by a respected scientist completely debunking the use of aromatase inhibitors in conjunction with TRT. Regardless of the Estradiol numbers. Thoughts on this ?

There's a reason why there's an estrogen range on labs and not checking estrogen or letting it go above the range isn't good for you, similar reasons why you don't want estrogen below the normal range.

@@dansmith9724 was that normal estrogen range for men on testosterone? Of course it wasn’t. When you block estradiol you block the benefits of testosterone in the target tissues. Testosterone is a pro hormone and it acts through its active metabolites in order to exert its beneficial effects. So much misinformation on Estradiol out there and we can think people like rand for that misinformation.

100mg every 14 days is absurd and can actually make you crash feeling worse than before. That protocol makes zero sense. Get a new doctor.
