I feel such RAGE when a killer get to spend their life outside of prison and then, when finally caught and convicted, they get a PATHETICALLY short custodial term. That is NOT justice and its why people have little faith in the criminal justice systems.

Devin: There have already been beheadings in the U.S. related to Sharia law, but what would you know. You go and live in Saudi Arabia. Stop diminishing crime, thinking it’s static. I’ve personally cared for gun shot victims, and have cared for patients from the prison ward. My girlfriend personally cared for ‘The Night Stalker’ for two weeks. I’m not naive like you are. I’ve cared for patients who’ve been stabbed over 80 times; & patients who are now in quadriplegic comas on ventilators from taking spice; cared for ER patients high on angel dust who broke through 4-point leather restraints, overpowering 8 people. I’ve cared for overdose heroin addicts & pumping people’s stomachs w/ charcoal & NG tubes. Also young adults who suffered irreversible strokes from cocaine. And patients who after taking only one dose of marijuana ended up suffering psychotic breaks that lasted for 6 weeks straight in the Psych Ward. We had a kid who gave his two 9-year-old school friends tabs of LSD. They’re dead. Another load of dead car accident victims came in, because a female had just recently purchased and dosed herself with marijuana in her car & immediately hit & killed 3 people in the car that she hit. So get lost with your naive dirt bag comments about drugs and how innocuous they are. In the California wildfires, marijuana fields that also caught fire caused firemen to end up in the ICU Burn Unit suffering 3rd degree burns.

I agree if it's a crime that leaves victims behind - but the 3 Strikes Rule, for example, which often carries harsh sentences is pathetic! Many "criminals" in the US are being punished way too hard for completely victimless crimes (Ross Ulbricht)... Europe handles them differently, and additionally we have a lot less crimes in Germany even without the death penalty or life time without parole.

Missy Cabic nailed it! That’s exactly what I was thinking and it does. The person is so desperate and so they will stop at nothing to try and get them back, but harassment constantly will push them further away, plus if you really love someone let them go, if they come back then it’s meant to be if they don’t then it’s not. And why would you want to be with someone who don’t love you anyways? If the person don’t come back that’s a sign they don’t love you! It will be very hard at first and it hurts real bad to not have them in your life but you will get over it hopefully. But the part that puzzles me is if you really really love the that person and don’t want to be with you, you just flat out kill them? Shows they didn’t love them! Don’t understand that part! But I don’t think like a sick twisted psycho maniac either!

@N It's a little hard to tell for sure, but it seems like you're in favor of their actions, so I'll tell you this... if I have to turn into a racist, murdering monster to survive, then I'll cheerfully die. And no, I'm not left wing. I'm a conservative Christian... and from what the Bible says, the last thing I should be willing to do, the thing that would condemn me to hellfire, is the very thing you suggest. Racism is anti-Christian and conservatives need to take a hard look at the moral values they claim to represent. From what I've seen in the last few years, they're the opposite of what they should be. You want to be right wing, which usually means Christian? Recognize that Christ chose to die in order to do the right thing, and forgave sinners, and had no bias against people of different skin colors. It's all there in the book. The only thing I see as a threat to the survival of white people is the hateful, ignorant paranoia of people who are convinced that it's us against them. You keep showing people how evil white people can be and sooner or later people just might decide to act on that. I'd rather not be profiled on the actions of stupid, paranoid white people.

Some might plea guilty, but the conviction is totally up to the judge, although the DA might have some guidelines and recommendations. But in the end its all in the judges hands, we dont even have juries. Also testifying against your co-criminals doesnt get you out faster, in fact I believe those kind of deals from the DA are against the law. Im no expert in Finnish law system, but thats how it goes as far as I know. I know it must sound like total craziness, but somehow it works. And our prisons are pretty cushy, from what I have heard. I suspect that was done on purpose to show the defendants in a better light. See, they cannot possibly be as racist as you claim since their lawyer is of the same race of the victim. Do I imagine they loathed every second of it? Well sure but someone close to them realized that a black attorney would look far better for them. It's why people accused of raping or murdering only women typically want a woman for an attorney. It will immediately create doubt in any jury member who doesn't really have any idea about the intricacies of the justice system. "Why would someone who is as racist as the prosecution claims they are have someone from the supposed hated race as their lawyer?" Or "Why would a black lawyer take this case if they actually did it?" If either of those thought processes takes hold in a member of the jury, you are well on your way to a mistrial at the very least or an acquittal if you are lucky.

And this is why we live in a rural area, within fenced acres and have large dogs. I am so protective of my children. My son, now 31, was the victim of an attempted abduction back in 1991 in Chicago. He was playing in a neighbor's fenced in yard and was the only blonde boy in a group of dark-haired children, and it was easier to identify him by first name because he looked different. the attempting abductor called him to the fence, saying that he was to walk him home. The children's father came out from the side of the house and said "you are not his father, and we don't know you". the man ran off, never to be seen again. My son was safe, but I wonder if any other children were his victims. I never saw the man, or I'd have reported it myself.

No other Country in the World would put up with this. Search number of unsolved murders in different States. We have people who have not only Stolen Identity but people's lives. For example, we tried to get the criminals living in a Dead family members house arrested but the police sent us the message that we could contact them back & they can talk to us about our case. Our case is that the VICTIM is dead and we wanted the people responsible to be arrested. A few months ago we found out that 2 family members were murdered over 2 decades ago and nobody told us. We have a message from a police department that they won't arrest the criminal's because the criminals have Freedom Of Speech & a prosecutor's office in the same State sent a message that they can't give legal advice. We don't need legal advice. We needed the people responsible for the crime's done against us our loved ones especially the children and whoever else to be locked up so that they can't hurt anyone else, but that's too much to ask the United States to do. No, I really don't want to live in a Country that think's it acceptable or act's like it's frustrating or that you don't remember what people look like & having criminals and batshit crazy people living nice lives using the Victims name's & associated fraudulent identity and in the meantime, we are mourning the dead and searching for the missing. At least in Countries like China child Traffickers & drug dealers are executed. In other Countries they cut off the criminals hand for Stealing. It's like Sex deviants, the male used their penis as a weapon and the weapon should be removed. A criminal isn't allowed to keep a loaded gun used in a crime so why is a Sex deviant allowed to keep the weapon used in the Crime's? My husband's opinion is that if they want to "hang" it out then a machete should do the job & they can hold it while they are bleeding out & a good 357 should take care of the problem. In Ohio, a Psychopathic Serial Killer who was working as a Doctor was arrested for the murder of over 20 people by lethal injection and another 23 have been arrested since. We had some Transplant Office contacting us and we contacted the police. .We don't need a Transplant & they can't have our's!! Some of the Law Enforcement we have spoken with are reading this stuff and asking why they don't have the information & why they don't know about this. I'm sitting with written confessions of people & one even asking if they get arrested before or after they leave the United States. We've been refused Medical Treatment refused to purchase food beverage and fuel in the United States. Threatened to be arrested for Trespassing for parking in a parking lot 4 miles from the Border. We were physically blocked by 5 police officer's from entering a Surgeons Office my husband had an appointment with. We were held at gun point & threatened to be shot by police in the same area where an Australian citizen was murdered by police. In the one State we're Crime Victims in & we asked the police to cooperate in the apprehension & arrest of people in that State & Officer Heidi sent us the message that the criminals have Freedom Of Speech... there's some 1800 unsolved homicide's in that State alone. Some States have a total & some list numbers by county or year, Etc. We had no idea. There's at least 9 vehicles that we have been made aware of that we have never had, but criminals using Stolen Identity & accessing people places and things they shouldn't be. Right now we've got the signature of a family associated with Felony Fraud & the disappearance of at least one loved one & that family is currently involved in a homicide investigation in another state & the police won't arrest them!¡!! We are in a State where a guy is using the name and associated fraudulent identity of a Victim & even claiming the wrong branch of the Military that the VICTIM was in. In the meantime, the guy posted on Social Media that he worked at Three Mile Island Nuclear Facility where the Nuclear Reactor had a meltdown!!!! Hello Stupid's!!! God, please just get us out alive

John's Picks people today have a really warped idea of DNA as it pertains to criminal cases. The mere presence of DNA is worthless unless there is corroborating evidence that clearly shows how it got there, when it got there and under what circumstances. Also, today DNA testing is so sensitive, we can detect 'touch DNA.' You leave touch DNA everywhere you go. YOUR OWN DNA could be at a crime scene right now if you had been there even weeks ago and it was left undisturbed. The general public hears the word DNA and they think, 'case closed!' That couldn't be further from the truth. DNA is NOT the be all, end all of getting a guilty verdict. The reality is, most people have a very poor understanding of how DNA works in criminal cases.

@@DarkAngel71180 ...Actually, they only had DNA on one of the bodies - the girl who was raped, and it was that DNA that convicted the killer. He didn't rape the other victim, so there was no DNA evidence left on her. Therefore, no conviction. Duh.

if not for my cousins (and the second amendment!) I would be dead. My ex called me up and said (and I quote even almost 12 years after hearing him say it) "that he would kidnap me and our son, torture and skin me in front of him just to show people how serious he is about me NOT leaving him"... the police couldn't do anything they said he had to actually kidnap me. So my cousins let me stay at their house and when I went home after a few weeks they staid up watching over me and my son while we slept. Its been almost 10 years since my divorce and I don't know how I ever ended up with him. My heart goes out to all these people not to mention their families. At least they have been solved

It is absolutely disgusting that a "deal" with a proven murderer of two beautiful young women, plus ridiculous "parole laws", nearly aslet the man out after a few months in prison. This isn't justice in any decent person's books - here we have a State Prosecutor who was obviously worried more about his/ her "success rate" than justice for the victims, and for their poor father - imagine finding your two beloved daughters vilely raped and murdered ! It would send me insane! - and their family. In a State that normally deals out death sentences like free ice cream at a children's garden party, this case shows how one sided and solely success orientated the judicial system in Texas is - to the detriment of true justice. I wonder if the sentence would have been so mild if the perpetrator had been of a different racial background, and not white ?
