A look back at some of the best Welsh tries from the 5 Nations championship in the 1990's. Watch some some amazing Welsh back line play as they manufacture some great tries with brilliant running lines.

Many thanks for the upload of some of Wales' more obscure ties from the 90's, some of which I hadn't seen in a very long time, mainly in defeat. All gems and just shows even in dire times during that era, Wales were still capable of flair and flowing moves in games (some but not all) largely best forgotten.

It was a very sad time for Welsh rugby Wales going into the doldrums in the 90’s but good teams come out of the doldrums and Wales still had there moments in there club sides beating world champions Australia and Wales beating the Boks and France away and stopping England getting a GS but it took time.

agreed, Wales lost so many good players to rugby league during the 80's and 90's, and i always said that they would benefit more than any other nation if the sport turned professional, and they have...

I watched Wales since the 80s and the 90s was in general by far our worst decade. we had some good seasons though, 1992, 1994, 1999 and were unlucky in 1997.

Yeah, obviously the lure of rugby league took much of our talent away, that we should of had going into the '90's. Wales also took, I'd say about 8 years to adapt after the game went professional, despite some false dawns. I agree we underachieved in 1997 after showing much promise in this and the previous year. Could and should have beaten France over there and missed the injured Allan Bateman against Ireland.

0:41 Aahhh, I love those good old days where a dummy to nobody would actually be bought by the opposition! Bit of a shame that professionalism killed these moments of comedy gold 😂

I agree that has to be 'the' Welsh try of the 90s by far, for skill and because we beat the English with it.

Too many tries; they couldn't fit them all in. Probably, though, the administrators are English and don't want to see England getting spanked
