1:24 men… dou you really think this is real captured VKPO? The suit looks absolutely new, the red tape on the sleeves is also quite fresh, it seems that no one wore the uniform. The presence of the St. George ribbon on the epaulets is also very confusing. No one does this for two reasons, firstly, shoulder straps often end up under a bulletproof vest, which makes it useless to apply insignia, they will not be visible. Secondly, there should be wagons, either with the rank of sergeant / ensign / officer / sailor / midshipman, or empty, without stars and goluns. It is easy to buy a new form from the VKPO kit on the Internet, the Russians themselves often sell it like a grey shop.

I’m currently in Ukraine and I’ve seen soldiers with the new greener pixel camo. I thought it looked similar to the predator camo. Cool to get that confirmation.
Have you considered your own effectiveness test with your collection? You've reviewed tests conducted by the US Army, using those for the basis of your tests should be a good starting point. I would love to see what conditions best suit popular patterns.
@vaenii5056 I know. I personally saw UCP work amazingly well when soldiers were walking in front of a concrete wall at night when lit by sodium lights. They looked like blobs on the wall, it was pretty cool to watch. I'd like to see how/ when other patterns work perfectly.
@@TacticalBaguette Yeah, there's Mike B ( although he can be a get caustic at times), and Brent (something). But it never hurts to have another channel conducting tests an in a different locale from others since what works well in one kind of environment might not work well in another. Plus UH does have some rather obscure and rare patterns that others don't so it would be nice to see some of those tested.
God squinting your eyes with the two pieces at the end and I can immediately tell why the duct tape caught on and became a staple of the conflict soo quickly. Imagine having to PID between those uniforms past 200m, even with good visibility?? [I understand the Ukrainian pattern is new, but still.]

Still patiently waiting for somebody to send you some South African camo...i`d love an episode on SAP pattern 1, SAP pattern 2 and the very rare "Koevoet" pattern, all used during the "Border War" era... The Bophuthatswana "Reed Pattern" used by their police force and the SAP Railway Police Pattern are also very interesting, the latter being very recognizable by the cargo pockets on the trousers specifically designed to hold 30 round magazines for the Israeli Uzi sub-machine gun...
Have you ever thought about doing a history of the US military's cold weather clothing ?(The different systems from world war I/ that one time we tried to help the white Russians fight the Bolsheviks ,ww2 all the way up till the current system ?
@@Alan-hs1lw The design of the tunic is similar to the Soviet Afghan tunic, which in turn is similar to the early design of the new (2012-2014) uniform of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, which was either inspired (or some samples were transferred already in 2014) to create the uniform of the Donetsk People's Republic.
@@adamwash917 Well, yes, on parades, tanks now have those strips, and it's a same strips as one of the military decorations in Russian military - Cross of Saint George (emperial and now existing decoration), always mistaken for Order of Glory (soviet) badge.
On another note. I am concerned that just about a good majority of this planet is wearing some form of Multicam/Multi-Terrain Pattern. This includes many countries that may potentially end up warring with each other. Especially in a upcoming potential World War. We have seen many NATO and NATO allies nations have the Multicam/MTP which is fine, but nations like Russia and China among a few others now getting into using the type/very similar to type. For me I'm concerned about if the "enemy" is wearing the same/similar as me, in a combat situation it becomes harder identifying hostiles and friendly and increases the risk of Blue on Blue/Blue on Green instead of Blue/Green on Red. If this keeps on heading to that direction, individuals like yourself, reviewing uniforms may end up being pointless, if everyone ends up wearing the same thing. I hope for the sake of those on the battlefields and yours and others like you sake, diversity in uniforms remains.
I don't know, gotta tell ya, the Ukrainian new camo... kinda starting to look like... a kind of Ukrainian digital version of the Crye Precision Multicam. At least the colours and the basic shapes starting to resemble a bit more to the Multicam in a way. It's certainly getting away from the grey digital that they had first going off in this pattern... the similar pattern to that ugly trash US ACU which they did up for Middle East but matched it to the Blue Ridge or Rocky Mountains in the US. 😂

put the russian one in a freezer for 72h hours ,subzero as cold as possible, there could be lice and other nasty bugs inside (even after washing it in the washmachine and tumbler ) which take over to your other stuff. In lack of food(humans) they will start to eat fabric. Many russians didnt wash for months properIy, like they stated in PoW-interviews - I speak from experience ^^ unfortunately xD - An ukrainian friend send me a lot of russian stuff he captured in 2022, during the Lyman and Kherson Operation.
