"What if the opposing side wears the same camo?" That's exactly I love Latvian new camo, they are not following Multicam pattern or even if it's just its color (i.e. what Romania, Hungary, Portugal, Slovenia and Australia done)
I have been wondering if anyone would cover the "FANCI" pattern. I found some photos back in November of 2023 of government troops wearing the pattern, but some of these in your video are new to me as well as the information. An amazing presentation! Thank you! :)
Great content! I`d love to see an episode on the various (and many) patterns fielded in South Africa from the 1970`s up until the Soldier 2000 pattern was introduced...

So many different patterns all in one unit is so weird, but then I am from Germany and it's all Flecktarn here (in a few different colors when I served).
That police camo is actually really good. (Both the blue and white) Easily identifiable, unique, and acts as a semi-urban camouflage (granted I don't know how actually Urban the places they would br used in are). For a police force, it works great.
same uniforms is the exact problem the first half a year at least of the Ukraine-Russia conflict saw, leading to the designation paint jobs like ZOV and the neon colored armbands

De même lors de leurs attaques de camps militaires et commissariats, les rebelles récupéraient les tenues de camouflage militaire des soldats morts ou capturés. Cela a donc donné une armée et des ennemis partageant les mêmes tenues.

Imagine we used this on Multicam since a lot of nations started adopting multicam style camouflage. Let's say Ukrainian's Multicam with a text "UKRAINE UKRAINE" and the Russian Multicam with a text "RUSSIA RUSSIA" . Imagine that on the battlefield. It's so goofy to just imagine that but it kinda solve some problems 😂 probably the same solution by taping it with red or blue duct tape.
@@timewave02012 Partially correct, Battle Order did a good video on it, at the start of the war it identified the front of attack, it was used like the Desert Storm Chevron V for identification. Z, V, and some other symbols were used by RUS. Now though Z has taken on a nationalistic, one could almost say fascistic connotation.
@@timewave02012 it is an interesting way to identify a friend or foes on a vehicle. For uniform wise, I saw many Russian soldiers wearing a "Z" patch as more of a moral patch rather than identification purpose since some patch variants are camouflaged with EMR or just too small to see or nobody has time to identify whether they want to shoot first, ask later or have a look and get shot.
