ANG!! I've missed you! Hope your November was a lot of fun. We had Thanksgiving here in the states, and it was about as perfect as a family gathering could possibly be. We had about 30 people attending. Lots of food, games, talk. and laughter. And I've had my grandsons over for the holiday weekend. We ate (of course), did crafts, puzzles, painted, created. Laughed and talked a lot. It was a great time and completely wore me out! I am frantically working on holiday gifts. I'll be happy to get two completed, but six would be best. After all, how can I resist a granddaughter who asks 'Are you making that for ME?'.

Hi Ange. It's so lovely to see you. Hope you're ok and settling into the new job. Can't quite believe the year is coming to an end. Think you know that we lost Andy's dad at the beginning of November. Even though his health had been declining, it was a shock. I kept my hands busy making a socks whilst we spent 5 long days and nights at his bedside. I've since frogged them. I don't intend to make any Christmas gifts apart from socks for Andy. The grandchildren have lightened the mood. We're just going to enjoy spending time with them . Take care. Xx🌈💕

Hi Ange, you’ve got some nice crafty plans in store for you. Sometimes life just gets in the way. Thank god we’ve got our crafting to keep us sane🧶 Ive been finishing some very old wips. I’ve got a pair of socks I started 2020, possibly one of my 12 cast ons made for one of my sons for Christmas. I’ve not done much gift knitting. A few pair of super chunky socks for 2 other sons and 1 for our grandson Finlay who loves his grans socks🧶🧦 ive got hubbys jumper finished and he loves it😃 Ive also finished all the squares for the stitch on Sunday blanket I’m making and I’ve finished all the knitting on my highland cow head. Sewing all the pieces now so hoping to get 2 fo’s finished in the 11th hour for your 12 cast ons. I’m currently thinking of what my next 12 cast ons will be for this year. Anyway better get back to my cow. Stay safe xx

Hi Ange! I was beginning to worry about you, but I completely understand. I hope your job is going well, but more importantly, I hope you can find time for all the things you enjoy doing! I’m gift knitting, which is a bit of a first for me…..at Christmas at least. Pure pressure!

I love your Sea Glass Sweater, it's looking amazing! 💚 I don't think I'll ever make one because I would have a miserable time with all that one by one colourwork, so I find it super impressive. I'm looking forward to seeing the completed mitten garland as well. I'm having surgery in a few days (nothing super serious), so I'm hoping I might get quite a lot of crafting done in December while I'm off work recovering. I just started a new crochet blanket that I'm obsessed with, so hopefully that will grow a lot, and I have 3/4 of a pair of socks that's now going to be a late birthday gift, so I need to finish them off so they're not *too* late. Maybe I'll manage to finish off my Sevrine cardigan as well, it would be lovely to get to wear it this winter. Meda

Hope you’re doing well with the new job. I have 2 pairs of socks to finish, plus a very simple cowl, which I hope to do before Christmas Eve, then on Christmas Eve, I will start a pair of Magic Heel socks (The autumn Acorn) to see how they fit. that will mean only 2 crochet projects will be long term WIPs and net year will see me with only one or two projects on the go at once, as that leaves me much less stressed. Hey. I just used your video for my 15min spindle spinning challenge. Perfect length. My month is split i go traveling on the 14 for 2-3 month. So i try to finish my old romance cardigan and a pair of socks before I leave. I will do Sari N. Advent shawl. Hope to wind that yarn today. Not sure what the travel projects will be. I only have handluggage. Have a wonderful December. Here in India Christmas is not a thing

I've been focusing on a test knit jumper and 2 pairs of socks since the beginning of september. Test has finished. I have not. Stuck on sleeve island. Might have started some advent-ish socks to use up the leftovers from my stash advent Rob made me last year. I've almost finished one of those other pairs, so it balances out fine. Let's hope I can contain myself until the 12 cast ons and maybe finish the damn test knit before the end of December. I have made a list!!

I have been making tons of blankets and hats.

Went to start the border on my Shawl only to have forgot to do the Set Up pattern row, went straight into the pattern. Lost a load of stitches frogging 🐸 it once again. I have never knit anything that has taken a year to complete, I wouldn't have minded if it was a complicated pattern but its not.😢😢😢 Love the first of the Fibres in my Advent Calendar and the treat. Thankyou so much for doing them along with your New Job, you must be shattered.
