The likes of Doherty, Higgins, Williams, O'Sullivan, Stevens were already helping him taking the game to the next level. And Parrott, White and Davis were still in a good form. Such a golden era.
I'd say 1991-1995 were all the same really. Maybe a bit more gel added as time went on. He had the great 1980's and 1990's golden locks and was a stone cold killer at the same time!
With hindsight I bet Hendry wishes he lost this match, as in the final he lost that infamous black ball game vs Mark Williams. That was probably one Hendrys worst defeats as Hendry put it "I won Masters 6 times, yet everyone always brings up me losing to Mark Williams."
I think Doherty had to attempt snooker again, cueball behind the blue ball, if he get free ball his win would be easy.. But he thoughy better for himself..
