Mads Bo Falk is an impressive sailor and inventor! And Drake Roberts the best man to do an interview like this. I guess this series will be of value for "would-be-sailors" for many years to come.

I enjoyed this very much. Our family is learning so much through channels like this. We looked at a Morgan 41 Ketch rig last week. We also looked at a Catalina 32 I think it was, about a month ago. The day we were on the 32 footer, it was pretty calm but the boat moved a lot. The day we were on the 41 Morgan Ketch, it was very windy. It was the day after a Nor'easter came through. The Morgan 41 was moving but not from us walking around and it just felt much more stable. The 32 footer was definitely moving from us walking around. What a difference in the stability of a boat only 9 foot longer. A 41 footer is a lot of boat for a family of four to learn to sail on, so we are considering buying a 22 to 26 footer on a trailer to get in a year or so of sailing on lakes, rivers and inter-coastal areas of Florida. It will also let us discover if we have sea legs and can live on a boat. I tell you though. . . that aft cabin was nice and the wrap around dining area would seat six or more people. If we do get a boat for living on, we all like the Ketch Layout with center cockpit. We would put up some videos but they would be more like the 4 Stooges of Sailing at this point. People do not want to see a full grown adult grab onto the roller furling and ask if it is a Forewinch.

I've found this series with Mads so inspiring. I'm moving onto a 27ft Westerly Centaur on the west coast of Scotland next month and will definitely be implementing some of his space saving improvements on her. Loving all you do and hoping you find yourselves in a safe Scottish harbour soon!

Hello Drake and Monique , Thank You for that series. I started looking for a boat about 2 years ago . Some 30 , some 40 , some 50 ft . After watching the first 2 videos , I bought a 27 ft Cascade Sloop with nice Trailer for dirt cheap. Great shape, The Dream of sailing and cruising the seas is getting closer . Fair Winds, David:

+David Wales That's awesome David and congratulations on your new boat! I was just looking at the inside of a Cascade 27 and it looks lovely! I'm not sure if yours is the same, but the inside of this one was so well laid out that I had trouble believing it was only 27 feet! We're glad you enjoyed the series and fair winds and wonderful adventures to you! ⚓-Monique

Mr Roberts, mo, mads and the boys should play with a Subwing and it could be tucked between the bumpers also to be used as a sign and paddle and filet board among other things useful and less being more. Surely the Subwing will hours of fun unending towed with the motor or sail I would wear scuba or get snorkel which could also be used to suck stuff store stuff and to tap on stuff. 😀

Glad you enjoyed the series and fair winds to you as well! ⚓-Monique

Alright. ALRIGHT> it is clear to me now who this Man is. He is the true brain behind "The Olsen gang". I grew up with the 'Olsenbande' and have all 14 movies on DVD. I always wondered how Egon Olsen managed to steal all the crown jewels with just an empty beer bottle, a balloon, a length of rope and an old piece of stinking cheese. Any European knows what I am talking about.

@drakeParagon
@drakeParagon 8 лет назад
+alice coppers Hey Alice! The video has Drake, our friend Mads and, of course, Mathilde as well. This is the last in the series, unless someone happens to be a $5+ Patreon, and then there is a bonus episode where we talk to Mads' children and get to see behind the scenes. Interviews and boat tours are something we've done since the beginning, and we're honoured and inspired to share the stories of people we meet along the way. We're especially excited to share the story of Mads and Mathilde since so many people have expressed interest in cruising aboard smaller boats. The 'go simple, go small, go now' sentiment seems to resonate with so many. That being said, I know not everyone enjoys the same things. We've got a lot of great episodes in the works and can't wait to share them with you. Take care and, as always, we appreciate your comments! (✿◠‿◠) ⚓-Monique

+rfb91a Ha, wouldn't that be interesting. "You're wrong Aristotle...the Earth IS flat!" It would certainly make sailing a bit more precarious. (✿◠‿◠) Seriously though, we took just a bit of time to work on some projects to help fill the cruising kitty and are very close to releasing Season 3. The trailer is already up on our Patreon page and we're working on locking some more episodes down before we release here. We can't wait to share the adventure and, I promise, it's coming soon!
