Lol, what a breath of fresh air after after watching your video Barb and reading these comments. So glad I’m not the only one who has a messy craft room. I find that I often have to clean my area first before I can start a new project. Nice also seeing that you didn’t spend a ton of money on expensive storage units. Great cheap storage ideas can be possible if you put your mind to it. I’m jealous of your huge craft room!❤

OMGoodness. Your craft room looks way better than mine... I have hoarded so much that I have a shed full of totes, 1/2 of my garage full of totes and my small craft room inside my house busting at the seams...My grown children laugh & cry at me...its awful..I have way too much...😅😂😅 I could probably fill up a Dollar Tree store 😂😂.. Thanks for sharing. I guess it's time to organize mine since the days are warmer 😊

You did a wonderful job at cleaning and organizing your craft room. I’m at the point where I don’t even craft anymore because I can’t find what I need and everything is in chaos. I’m just so overwhelmed and don’t know where to start. I’ll have to take your advice and do just a little bit at a time. One of my problems is I have way too much and don’t like to get rid of things. That might need to change if I ever want to be inspired again. I use two bedrooms as my craft room and it makes it more difficult not to have everything in one room. I love how your room looks.

Ok Barbara, your craft room wasn’t that bad! It was organized chaos! Lol Mine was a total mess until I couldn’t stand it anymore! I started like you did, one area at a time. Sure keeps you from getting overwhelmed and depressed! Set aside a certain amount of time every day to work towards my goal! Then started seeing results and I was on fire to finish! Your craft room looks amazing. So functional and on a budget! Doesn’t get better than that my friend. Thanks for your tips and tricks too. Being organized made my crafting less frustrating and a lot more fun too. Seemed like I was always hunting for something I knew I had! Now crafting flows like it should. I don’t end up buying things I already had either. It’s a win/win for sure. Thanks again for sharing your ideas and tips on organizing our craft space. Love those organizers from Big Lots! I make myself clean up and put back supplies after crafting too. This helps keep it organized! I struggled with this, as after crafting I was so tired, but I wanted to come into a clean space the next day. Happy Mother’s Day lady! ❤😊👍

I’m fixing to move my craft “area” finally from our dining room table to one of our guest rooms. We seldom have overnight guests but I want to organize it in such a way that guests would still have the room they needed. I liked a lot of your idea’s!

Barbara...WOW, you must have had your Wheaties, before starting this video. I never knew anyone could move so fast. Fast forward can't top that. Seriously...You and Sherry at Canterbury Cottage are speaking to me. "I mean, why put off till tomorrow what you can do today"? I haven't quite answered the question but somehow I always manage to stall. Love the storage you found to help with the process.I like using over the door shoe bags to hang on the back of the door as it makes good storage for small to medium jars, bottles and cans. When I win the lottery I will buy myself a Dreambox or...maybe 2. Meanwhile? Dollar Tree, here I come. I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day and will have a beautiful week. Be Blessed and Safe. A wire organizer for the back of a door gives you a lot of space for small things. We just found plastic bins that were thin enough to fit. I think we ended up with 18 bins. I also like the storage drawers that are fully encased. You have to pull them out. Set them on a table and open them up. Not perfect if you are using the supplies in the same room. But if you are constantly doing projects in another room like we do they are great.

Thank you for sharing. I've never looked at Big Lots for storage, and that's definitely in my price range. My husband bought me a large trailer for my "she shed", but I just had back surgery, so it's empty for now, but I'm excited to reclaim my guest bedroom, kitchen and enclosed garage.

I have used a lot of the same things you have used. I have a repo vintage clothes line that attaches to the wall, and I store loys of my laces on them. I am going to look for curtain rods to put my ribbon on, much less than yours & one for my washie tape, again small amount. But I have the space that's not really usable to do that. Thanks for that idea!! Your room looks awesome. Oh, and i am going to check out the electrical outlets, and having the usb ports makes them even better!! Thanks!!

Wonderful space & great solutions. Barbara, I have to say...that was the cleanest "messy" craft room that I've ever seen though. Oh, most are SO much worse, including the way mine looked before I moved a few years ago. I don't have a craft room since moving so I HAVE to pick up & put up as I go (usually 😂). I do love your set up though & that you introduced actual affordable solutions. Thank you.

2 years ago I was so discouraged and distracted by my craft area. I was always having to clean up before I could even start. I had such a mixed mash of storage. I decided to spend the money and purchased 5 large storage cabinets with doors. Best thing I did, I love the look of the wall of storage and because I have 5 I was able to organize stuff, and the doors hid when I don’t. The other thing I did was create a “landing zone” right inside the door for all new things I buy but don’t put away. When this gets full it’s time to put stuff away. This keeps my table open and ready to craft. Having it pretty makes me happy and helps with creativity.

You have a great space to craft and now it is so organized. I don't have a craft room I craft on my dining room table and when I cook dinner I have to clean up and put everything away. I have several (tons) of large plastic totes full of craft supplies and several small totes in the basement dining room and living room. It is somewhat organized, but it is plain sight for everyone to see. Good thing I don't have many guests except family. Thanks for sharing. Have an awesome weekend and Happy Mother's Day.
