Who is this ruthless decluttering machine? And what have you done with Ms Heart from whom we had to pry the smallest tossy tossy? 😂 I can't tell you how much it delights me to see you like this. 🎉

I loved hearing you talk through the emotions of decluttering the address book. Recognizing that it was sentimental, talking out the struggle, but then watching your logical mind take over and realizing you would never actually need it in the future was very useful. I wrestle with these same mental processes & watching you overcome and move forward is so helpful.

I remember when you looked for the item that feels easiest to toss to start your decluttering, and now you look for the section that feels easy to you/most interesting! A HUGE milestone!

Re: your question about where people keep light bulbs. I have to remember the words of my decluttering guru Dana K White. She advises us not to worry about where something “should” go (ie: where other people would normally put the thing). Instead she teaches us to ask: “where would I look for this thing first”? Her concept is that everything should have a place and once we can figure out where that place is, it makes it so much easier not to put the thing down somewhere else. And so it reduces clutter.

It seems that you're starting to value your space more than tons of "what if" items that are honestly probably not going to be used, and if you wanted them they're very easy to replace. That space is SO valuable! ❤️

That's amazing! It's not just getting rid of things and organizing things, but that they can be put together! Because there is room to move and space, that they can be put into categories! Brilliant as ever! Ms. ❤!!

I love what Ms. Heart said about "breaking free" from the little basket! I find myself feeling that way too. Sometimes even things I really like ~ are actually a burden! But sometimes I don't notice that too clearly because it's cute or special or something… and I get distracted from it's actual impact taking up space… and time… and thoughts… and effort living with and managing it. But it's hard to remember that when dealing with a lot. And the easier thing is usually to keep and delay (emotionally speaking). So, I really try hard to ask ~ "Is this item secretly annoying me? Do I want to think about it again? Is it paying it's rent?" That helps a bit, but ugh! I so want to get rid of these micro sources of stress! 🧘🏻‍♀️✨ I really must work on developing my 'breaking free' muscles like Ms. Heart! 💪💖

I just have to tell you Ms Heart, I really look forward to see your videos every Friday. It is late evening for me (due to time-difference) and your videos are a way to unwind into the weekend for me. I always start into my Saturday motivated to get stuff done. Thank you for that

I’ve been keeping light bulbs in a labeled storage box on a utility shelf in the basement. It’s been a game-changer to have them all in one place. I also do this for batteries. It’s been working nicely because it’s all contained in one place. Btw, I love your basement declutter videos. You’ve motivated me to do the same with my big, fat cluttered basement…LOL. I started organizing & decluttering my basement last year after a flood. You’ve given me the motivation to persevere. And, also that it’s OK to take your time doing it. Thank you!

Our lightbulbs live in a lidded plastic tub on the open shelves in our basement laundry room. The bin is clear to make the contents obvious to my visual-thinker husband whose brain doesn't easily compute labels alone. The tub is easy to grab and bring to the room in which it's needed. Sometimes when a ceiling fixture bulb blows, the markings have worn off the old bulb and we don't remember the wattage. Having the tub at hand means we can quickly swap out the chosen replacement if it winds up being too dim or too bright without having to make another trip downstairs!

I love the bag with a random rubber band in it, exactly what I might find in my house. Who know why, right?lol Great job as usual!

My lightbulbs are in a small bin in the laundry room. I had a ton of bulbs and now I have them all organize them. I only buy if I need them.

Still decluttering our basement in little chunks at a time. It doesn't become overwhelming that way for me. Your videos have helped me see that others also have too much stuff. Life happens and it takes time, so whenever there is a few minutes, that's when it gets done. I also realize this stuff can be kept churning for years or I can be rid of it.

I have a plastic shoebox size bin for lightbulbs. I don't keep a lot of them on hand, so it works for me. The bin lives on a shelf in my laundry room.

Ms Heart you are sounding so much more confident in decision making these days and your ability to remove things more quickly is certainly an impressive improvement. Also, I feel that the category organisation is helping you see just how many bins of stuff you have per category. Maybe if you re-count the number of bins in each category it will help you establish in which areas you still have too many things. Also, may I suggest that you might want to go through your Christmas bins again before you put them all back in the cave, after the leak is fixed, especially because you have added a few more bins full. Then you can re-check you still want to keep it all. Finally, it was nice to see that shelf emptied of clutter because now you can use it to display things you want to keep on there instead. Perhaps a display of your My Little Ponies or some of the crafts you’ve made might keep you inspired whilst moving forward. Also, may I suggest you put all your lightbulbs in a clear bin and keep it either in your kitchen, your linen closet or where you keep small hand held DIY tools.

Hi, even though I'm still decclutering, I intend to put all emergency items together like blackouts. Matches, candles, emergency kits, light bulbs even though it might not help during blackouts but at least it has a home there. Also, batteries and everything that has to do with emergency situations.

I don't have little ones, but I buy heart artichokes in little jars. I collect them for items such as beads, buttons, safety pins and anything that needs to be contained in a see through glass. Plastics turn dull or scratched with wear and tear.

Light bulbs. In my large house I kept small basket in second floor linen closet with a package or 2. And a variety of wattages on shelf in basement. Current small condo apartment I keep them in one container in hall coat closet.

Small basket in the kitchen closet is where ours are. But, we are at a point aside from rare use lightbulbs left, we buy regular use bulbs when they go out just in the amount we need at the time.

Mason jars will sell at yardsales. People are really into food prep right now.

If I had a linen closet I would have a bin in there for lightbulbs, but I since my home is lacking in storage space I have a cabinet in the laundry room with a bin of lightbulbs in there. I also keep a small battery organizer (with tester) next to it so all lightbulbs and batteries are in one place. Everyone in my family keeps a flashlight in their room/nightstand, but I think a heavy duty flashlight and weather radio in the same spot is a good idea.

I keep my light bulbs in a big tote in the garage on a shelf. All kinds of bulbs including car bulbs go in there.

I keep my lightbulbs in the laundry room. I have wire shelves in there on the walls, the kind you would typically put on a pantry door. It holds all kinds of little things like lightbulbs, extra dryer sheets, extra air fresheners, extra ziploc bags and so on.

I use your videos as inspiration. I went to my craft room- dumping ground after watching today. I got a large bag of trash and recycling along with a box of donations. Slow and steady .

Your self talk is sounds so healed and is motivating because I can repeat it to myself!!

💡💡kept on a wire shelf on the bottom most shelf of my hallway linen closet: I live in a condominium apartment with an outdoor non heated nor cooled storage room.

We store our lightbulbs in out laundry area (we have shelves) in a small tote labeled so can always find them

I've always stored lightbulbs in this big old cabinet above the back stairwell. There was just a large space there for things like bulbs, tools, fold up camping chairs, coolers, etc, random things we don't need often. Anywhere you store the bulbs will be good since you don't need regular access to them - when you need one, you'll go find it (versus something you need daily that must be in a convenient reachable spot)

Always good to see a big declutter! I do wanna say real quick because of the list at 3:14, as an autistic person myself, that charity isn’t really one the majority of autistic people support. It’s a lot to get into, but I highly suggest doing some research and maybe considering a charity that is run by autistic people in the future. As we like to say, Nothing About Us Without Us. Personally, I like AWN😊.

I put my light bulbs in my utility/laundry room. It’s where I keep all of my extra supplies like trash bags, baggies, TP, light bulbs, shampoo/bath supplies, and etc…

I've learned to do this before I actually act on getting rid of sentimental things. I think about the item over and over, by that I mean on a regular basis not necessarily on an hourly or even daily basis, but often enough to help me get detached. I ask this questions will I ever use it? Will I use it in an emergency situation? Will I benefit by having it with me? Can someone use it rather than have it stored like i do? When I mull on those questions over and over. I come to a resounding NO. When that happens, out it goes, and I won't think about it ever again. It will not hurt to get rid of it. The key is to think about it over and over with those questions.

Wow, you have come such a long way! Good for you!! I love seeing this and it inspires me! My adult son was helping me get some things out of the barn a few days ago, to set up for a yard party. I started to pull out something that was missing a part and he said "leave that one" But he was really proud of me when my response was "then I need to replace the part or throw it out, not leave it in the barn". And I have already picked up a new part and fixed it!!

I also recognised the Marilyn picture in the background. I think we churn objects that we feel are not ready to get rid of or just go through. After all clutter is just postponed decisions.

wow!! it is so crazy to see all that open space behind you while you declutter the shelf! in no time you'll have one of your basement quadrants set up. I can't clearly remember all the ideas you had - crafting area, play area, work out area...the play area is there, perhaps you should set up the work out area now, just to assign a purpose to another quadrant of the basement. Sometimes it's difficult to not reclutter or churn back into the space; your brain just sees it as empty, versus if it has a developed assignment: to be the "work out area". Just thinking about how in the past, the "empty" spots gave you anxiety and how to bypass that and keep an area clear. It looks so amazing, very exciting!

Our lightbulbs are in the 'cleaning closet' it holds all of basic house cleaning and repair stuff - like batteries, broom/vacuum, cleaning supplies, extra mats for the exterior doors, command strips, etc. Its the central closet for the whole house and very easy to access. Maybe a system that would work for you is to have a bin for all yours or store a box in each room that requires that kind of bulb so it's easy access
