My friends and I used to go on an annual scrapbook retreat. We were notorious for packing for a retreat and realizing we had not unpacked from the previous year. 😂 So you’re doing pretty well if you unpacked even within a month of your craft activity with your friends!
Hello this is Stacey Coker from Stafford Virginia Happy Tuesday Blessings to you and thanks for sharing your super cool videos 📸📸🤩🤩😎😎🆒🆒👍🏽👍🏽🤗🤗😁😁👋🏽👋🏽🩷🩷💙💙🩵🩵🧡🧡🤎🤎💚💚
Greetings from Norway:) Here we can get a sticker from the post office which says no thank you to unadressed advertisement, to put on the mail box. (Someone even make a sign themselves). Certainly saves a lot of time/energy and paper.. I dont know if something like that is possible in your area:)
I’m very much a “do it as I have time and energy”. Sometimes it’s a set amount of time (often I want to work longer because I’ve gotten into a groove), and sometimes it’s baby step because I developed a habit as a kid to value the things someone gave me (to the point of giving that item emotions) because they took the time to think of me. Unnecessary emotional attachments were placed on items and then it became a habit for me. So, sometimes I’ll set something aside that I would normally declutter but because it was a gift, I’ll ask the person who gave it to me if they would be upset if I rehomed the item. I’ve had times where when I’ve asked that question, they wound up looking for an item like that for their kids or themselves so it still winds up within the “family” and the item gets another round of love! ❤️ The Kon Marie method has helped me with the emotional side with thanking the item and then letting it go to a new home. I cant go through every item all together but I can go room by room.
If I come home with a bag or box of stuff & am too tired to put it away right then, I give myself 12 hrs. Then I HAVE to put every single thing in its proper place.
I have the “lived in” look 😂 Plus family and friends are coming to see you not your house. If they are coming to see the house tell them make an appointment. Being grateful for what we have is so important and thanks for the reminder. Have a great week. Mary, Joes wife 🙇♀️👏💪👍🙏💐🐈🦄
October 2024. Today's bag went to the Food Pantry. Another bag was books returned to the library. Then I took a suitcase full of summer clothes out of my closet. I'm tossing another book because it's falling apart. All my Halloween decor fits in a shoebox: bats, spiders, and small shiny pumpkins. November is pheasants, owls, and pinecones: another shoebox. I wish I could have my fall/Halloween things out, but I have to clear out my house since a tree fell through the roof and now I have to get a new one lol! Twelve rooms altogether, including the closets to deal with!
I have the exact same ponies! I've decluttered a lot of my childhood toys but those went into the sentimental bin for sure. And a Get-A-Long Gang Zipper doll (not sure if you had those too?) :)
Great message as always. I just have a couple of tips, food with a best before date is fine to eat ages after, (eg canned and packet food) it wont make you ill, just may eventually affect the flavour. I know you were ill in the past but that was probably a use by date, which is on fresh meat and dairy type foods. With your spring onions, did you know they keep well and even grow if you keep them in water in your windowsill? Just cut off leaves as you need them x
Your videos are always so motivational. I was thinking about that picture of beer steins above the table though. You mentioned before that you and hubby don't drink much anymore and you have (or had?) some beautiful art tucked away in the basement. Maybe it's time to swap out the beer mugs for something else?
Great job …. Well done still being kind to yourself and accepting daily life and appreciating daily life. Its not just what you do but how you do it. Great advice and love the kind words. ❤
I also read you can write"return to sender "on junk mail and mail will send it back. i did this , it took a couple of months but it worked. i also did stop the junkmail.
You are so right about the blessings. I have been homeless for a year now with my 3 children. We have been blessed to have a roof over our heads and a safe place. I’m blessed to have belongings and 3 healthy beautiful children. We will also be blessed with a home soon and I have some money saved for carpets and some bits needed ❤❤. Thank you for putting it into perspective
I just did a home reset and decorated for Halloween too. I was sick for four days and did it in 5m chunks. I was so surprised at how much I accomplished in those four days in small pieces. I am almost ready for Thanksgiving visitors. So happy.
The best thing you can do to avoid getting flyers is to put a "No Flyers" note inside your mailbox. I just grabbed some green tape and put it in all caps. Haven't gotten flyers since 👍 I don't know how well those no mailers list actually work.
Hi Mrs Heart, just in case this is helpful. Of course all cats are different so maybe Ms Pepper would love a kitty tower. However, my 6 kitties I had over the years ignored their various kitty towers most of the time. You could consider if you like just having a pillow for Ms. Pepper on top of that brown shelf that is behind were the boxes were or just keeping a part of the top empty (for now). It is basically the same height as the boxes were. Possibly an added bonus is that you will keep that spot clutter free easily cause you love her so much. :) When the basement is ready you could possibly consider making her a climbing wall if that is something you guys/cats are into.
I love how one of the first thing you said was about inviting people over! I still remember that story of when you had someone staying out, as you did not felt you could let that person in....and see you know, going quickly thru the living room ans making it look LIVED, and happy, is so, so heartlifting:) The pumpkin you've made is also really cute! I like the idea of such gathering! For the cat tree,I alreadysaw a comment with a nice brans recomendation, but I would encourage you to also check and either see on a non buy/exchange group. Just be sure to have the person, that is giving the cat tree away, yo show you the info about their cat's health, as there are some truly nasty diseases that you wouls not like to catch. I bought one, but got 2 others of such lists. Both were desinfected professionaly and stayed in winter freeze just in case for some time, and it was well worth it, as I could not afford such ones, and such quality. Out of curiosity, sorry if it is also a too long post, but was wondering about the poster above the table. I would see there something you could e.g.decorate for each season, or a schedule board, or score board, or a wish board. Do you have a special memory with that? Or it is there just "out of habit"? I ciuld see your creativity go wild there! Cheers and thank you for motivating us! I was just shining my sink watching you:) Lots of pets to that furry assistant- she is gorgeous!
Your examples of self-forgiveness and giving yourself grace mean so much to me. I am full of negative self-talk. I often even talk poorly to myself out loud, so my husband reminds me to be nice to myself. But now I tell myself "give yourself grace" all because of you!❤ I am loving all these new videos too! ❤
Awesome work, Ms. Heart!🥳👏👏👏👏👏 You’re so right - life is is busy, so our homes get messy - don’t beat yourself up, just clean it up! I know what you mean about the cardboard boxes - my cal also loves to have one, also in the living room, where I would rather not have it! 😁📦🐈⬛🛋🤦♀️
Holiday! 🫣 Do you struggle at all with holidays? It stresses me out with all the planning involved and to dos that are on me as a mom. and since i am an ADHD mom anything with planing and chaos it brings makes me nit look forwrd to it. 😢
I gave a try once to the flylady holiday planner. Have to admit, did not managed to follow it to the T, but boy, did it help me stay on track of things and be less stressed out! Maybe it can help you out too?:)
I have a short cat tree (Catry brand) that my cats LOVE (we also have a tall one but they really only use that one at night). It was only $35 from PetSmart (i just bought a second one) and for cats that like to perch up on bins it’s a perfect fit, it’s also pretty minimal and cute and doesn’t take up a ton of space. Just thought I would recommend!
I unsubscribe to the every thing ; I am ignored and new sellers find me! Sunny day here , so son and I washed the upstairs windows and cleaned the tracks. It goes in recycling , never makes it into the house. I write checks for whatever bills come in( most are online) I dislike sliding windows and hope to replace in a few years.
