Why not put the nightstands , which are currently in your bathroom, in your guest bedroom they are a lot more substantial than the ones that you currently have there and I think they would look nice

Letting Luke change his bedroom was great, and he’s learning to make decisions in life. Also, great points on helping kids get a handle on their rooms with your help, & when it’s tough to get rid of items, letting them go at their own pace is wonderful. The nightstands are so valuable for space & quality, you could always upgrade any of the kids rooms with one, or the guest room or even as an end table next to the sectional upstairs, or a stand alone piece giving you storage and a place for a nice plant for the plant lady. 😊

Hello Amanda, I am so happy you are doing another decluttering video. I was doing so well with decluttering, and l just stopped. Thank you for the motivation again. That's great about your older son decluttering. I wish my son would have the motivation to do that, and my son is a lot older. Your nightstand seems really nice. I have a hard time letting go of things like furniture. Couches I give to others that need them, but I have 3 sets of coffee and end tables. I like to change things up to give my rooms a different look. I have put a set of end tables in the garage to get rid of. I gave the coffee table away. But now Im motivation to start decluttering again i have a living room and sunroom and a large bedroom that all have couches and end tables. Most of my clutter is in my craft room. Anyway, thanks for the motivation. Take care. 😊

Move the night stands into one of your movie/tv areas. I bought night stands for our living room . They come in handy for remotes and makes a great storage area.

Can't believe that Luke wanted to change his room around....it was so perfect. But, I get it....one of my grandsons is 13. And I remember being 13. But I wasn't allowed to change my room....my mother thought our house was a museum. LOL

Those night stands that you have in your bathroom you can put them in your guest room maybe stack them on top of each other or something cause they are nice but if not just sell them 😊❤

I have been declatting as i go. This morning i started out with 42 boxes to go through first. I am proud to say i an down to 20 now. When the rest of the furniture arrives I will be able to knock that number down. I have 12 boxes of clothes, shoes,and handbags to donate. I love the way you do one area at a time. Enjoyed your video and I am glad the boys are wanting to arrange their rooms. We have to let go and let them express their selfs. Thank you for sharing and looking forward to the next one.

Amanda, you really are the queen of tackling these projects. So much motivation and great tips come from your videos. While im not decuttering at the moment, I am taking in the advice and ways to maintain spaces that are organized, beautiful but most importantly functional. One ? I have is what are the best screws, anchors, installment tips to hang a heavy mirror and artwork to walls that are simply not as solid? I would love to use my vertical space but the walls are a bit weak. 2nd ? is with beyond paint can I use it to paint my bathroom ceiling (moist control, etc) and if my bathroom cabinet has some yellowing, will beyond paint give me that full coverage? Glad to see your Son wanting to take ownership of his room and how its setup. We all want our room to feel a certain way and enjoy the space when we are in it 😊👍🏼

Hi Amanda! I definitely agree with going through spaces multiple times. I tend to make decluttering decisions based on my mood and find that I need to revisit the space again to make sure I don’t keep anything that I don’t use anymore. Happy that you were able to make more space in your home!

Still working in my closet. Decided to put my clothes in outfits (skirts and tops,). This makes dressing easy. My kitchen is my problem as I have too many small appliances. This Is my fun cooking, but truthfully I really don't need all the electrics. You are right, you have to Declutter often. Love watching your boys work with you.

I have always found that when I declutter or start the decluttering process. I always start on my 2nd floor and get that done that way. I do room by room and it comes downstairs with me. And then I start downstairs and then for me. I'm more app to come out the front door with it and take it away right away. As it clutters the front area, I don't put it off. And it just makes more sense to me to do it that way. Because if I decluttered front to top, I'm more apt to put things away in a corner somewhere upstairs and put off taking the things off. But if they are blocking the entry way in some way I will take it off right away. I will not put that off. So that just makes more sense to me to do top. Or back if you have one level from back-to-front. Because I will be more apt to stay true to myself and take the things away right then if that makes sense.

Reinvent them storage is always important. Can you stack them but off ones legs? Side by side with a specific top? For a entry table etc you’re way better at it than I 😂

I have a patch rat daughter who is super into craft so I really have to go in her room once a week and mostly just do a rubbish pick up of cut paper, broken craft, random pieces of little wool or string, just so that my vacuum doesn't get clogged and the rug doesn't turn into a craft forest. But it is so difficult to get her to let go of things, she is so slowly getting better at it but boy oh boy when we really need to work on decluttering it's like pulling teeth from a shark.

The nightstands are really nice. However; if they don’t fit in your home at this time. You could always sell the nightstands and put the cash you get towards another project.

Oh yep I do with boys down to books, clothes, my sister has two boys too, she actually gave me two sacks of clothes all like sports ware, even tags still on to go through won't have to shop for two years at this stage😂

I have had the same thing with my teenager recently, I felt physically sick when she said how she wanted it. I have let her do it but I’m still trying to let go. It’s not about control it’s a realisation that she’s not the young child who is happy with how Mummy made her room anymore. I just wish she was as “grown up” to keep it clean!!

I know you were filming, but try not to make my mistake. They really do need to work alongside you to reset the room. My youngest is going to be 21 and still gets too overwhelmed to do major cleaning, organizing, and resetting his room. Gotta start young.❤ I realize you did do that with Liam.

My mom never said anything about rearraange my bedroom. I could do it 2-3 times i a month or once every other month. As an adult I dont do it so often. I have lived in my apartment for 10 yr and the only room I change is my spare room. I need to have a bed, more shelves and chest of drawers. My livingroom is one space I can change, but I dont have a reason to do that. I do want to have a new couch but they are expensive, and I have looked for a secondhand one also, havent found one yet that I like.

I declutter my hall closet that has towels, sheets, meds, extra bathroom stuff every time I add anything or use up something. Stays tidier. Struggling to declutter the downstairs pantry. It was the last declutter/organize that I did with my daughter before she passed away. Definitely needs to be done.

It’s hard to let go of the decision making. When my oldest brothers first of 7 children was getting his drivers license. His wife dreaded it but soon learned how nice was to send him to the store to pick up a gallon of milk. He was so eager to run errands.

Could you use the nightstands as end tables in the living room or the media room? I am currently have my printer on a nighstand in my office. It's great, because I can store printer paper & envelopes in the drawers.

I’ve been decluttering my home as well over the last few months as well as a storage unit. I have gotten rid of a ton of stuff! I had to be fairly hardcore about it and really ask myself two things : Have I used this in the last six months? Are you realistically going to use it in the next six months? If I’ve forgotten I have something I decided I must not really need it then and decluttered it. 😊 The house is so much cleaner and more organized! Thanks for the inspiration! P.S. I just refinished a small china cabinet with Beyond Paint sage green! I have been looking for a true sage green paint color for a long time… and this is it! Love it! ❤

I struggle with my laundry room because I do not have a garage. I am also scared of everything thing that moves so I refuse to keep anything house related in my outdoor shed.

@ThisCrazyLife would you not put your nightstands/bedside table in the spare room then your keeping them incase you decide to take them back to your room 😊
